  1. We use both a flat top sheet and a duvet in a duvet cover. We are also in UK, but know that having both is not very common. I like having a cover on me when sleeping and many times the duvet is too warm so like to have a top sheet as an option. I have always liked this, but ever since menopause and night sweats followed by cold spells, I really need both. Luckily on all of our previous cruises this is easily sorted after talking to the room attendant. It sounds like it is not consistent even on a single ship.
  2. It has been almost 2 years since our last cruise and I cannot remember if the bed was made with just a duvet or if it also had a flat top sheet on it. I know in the past we had to ask our room attendant to add a top sheet to the bed, but was wondering if we will need to ask for it on our next cruise. We are sailing from Southampton if that makes any difference.
  3. Does anyone know what the maximum entries are for a 24 hour period? I doubt I will ever reach it, but am curious.
  4. We always purchase the water. It is much easier to have a dozen bottles of water already in the room and then randomly add to it when passing a bar when we remember. DH and I both drink a lot of water so it is nice to have it.
  5. It is actually cheaper to add them to the sky suite then for them to book their own cabin so Princess will receive more money by doing allowing them to book their own cabin (assuming cruise does not completely sell out by then). We will ask Thor about it when he contacts us next year and then see if our friends want to join us based on his response. If we do not ask we will not receive it, so it is worth asking before we see if they want to join us on the cruise. The worst that can happen is they say no.
  6. Thank you. I really appreciate some feedback from someone who has experience in the Sky suite. I have heard the SEM can work miracles. We may wait until we hear from Thor before trying to get our friends to book.
  7. some people do tip every time they get a drink. We tend to drink in a similar area every day and if there is a server who regularly gets our drink and is helpful, we give them an extra tip in the last day or two of the cruise. On our last cruise, one server brought us a full opened bottle of wine to save us asking for another glass (and him having to go get it). He received a nice tip at the end of the cruise.
  8. Unfortunately they are sold out for all reserve mini suites and suites.
  9. Have you stayed in a Sky Suite? I was hoping the SEM could do something
  10. SEM is the Suite Experience Manager. They are assigned to help Sky suite guests with anything they want during the cruise. Supposedly they can work miracles.
  11. We are currently booked in a sky suite (2 people). We are considering suggesting to some friends that they also book the cruise. The problem is we are not close enough to want to share a room and there are no full suites or club class mini-suites available. What are the chances we could get them into Sabatini’s for breakfast and reserve dining area for lunch/dinner? Under normal circumstances there is no chance at all, but given we are in the Sky suite which can sleep 5 people, I was wondering if the dining perks could be extended to 2 more people so they are there for 4 total? I could ask when the on-shore concierge contacts us, but that is quite a long way out. Related, but different query, does anyone know who the SEM is on the Sky Princess? Do the SEMs change frequently?
  12. Not certain about the US, but in the UK insurance companies will use any excuse to not pay out. If you were to have a stroke on the cruise or kidney issues, insurance could claim it might be associated with High Blood Pressure and not pay. When getting insurance we mention all medication either of us are taking and all surgeries/ major treatments for at least the last 5 years. DH had a TIA last year and we will report that as pre-existing forever. Medical evacuation costs are so high we do not want to take any chance insurance will not cover us.
  13. I did ask on the Cunard board about Hawaiian shirts for casual days. The unanimous response was that although it officially meets the guidelines, it is not really acceptable attire particularly on a TA where dress is a bit more upscale. We do not mind being a bit different, but want to respect the spirit of the dress code. Instead we booked a princess TA and will fly home after a b2b Caribbean cruise.
  14. It looks like they are bundling Premier with the Sky suite on the Sun. I wonder if this will be added to the other ships Sky suite benefits. Although if the other perks are removed it is not a good trade.
  15. multiple people. In fact the post just after your post is considering cancelling due to no Park 19. There are several Park 19 threads and each have a few people who booked because of Park 19.
  16. you can do a B2B to accomplish this, but it will include the Europe ports. We have a TA booked for 2026 and are anxiously waiting for the Caribbean 2026 cruises to be released so we can (hopefully) stay in the same cabin. A Caribbean cruise round trip from Southampton on Princess would be wonderful.
  17. I think this is referring to the 18% gratuity on every drink order, not the daily cruise gratuity for all staff.
  18. We have been in suite D726 on the Sky and that balcony is much larger than most others. It is part covered and part open. It looks like Regal has the same layout so deck 9 probably has larger balconies.
  19. He likes his Hawaiian shirts too much. On formal nights he is happy in a tux on Princess and would be on Cunard, but we do not want to feel underdressed (or in the bottom 20%) without a long sleeve shirt, tie or jacket on a casual night. We like the more relaxed cruising on Princess -although we wish they would enforce the dress code in the MDR on formal and casual nights.
  20. we seriously looked at that option since we could do b2b2b with the Caribbean in the middle. Although we like Princess formal night and dressing for dinner, Cunard takes it a bit too far for us. DH likes nice trousers and Hawaiian shirt for casual evenings, which is way too casual for Cunard.
  21. I cannot see the autumn 2026 Caribbean itineraries and have been looking regularly. Are you sure they have been released or is it the 2025 itineraries that spill into the winter and spring of 2026.
  22. I wonder what they would do if someone said they will not pay and will not sign the wavier until they have a solicitor/lawyer to look at it. They cannot really kidnap you and force you to stay on the boat. I would be very hesitant to run up massive credit card bills in this situation until I am back home. Who knows if you will need those credit cards on shore in order to get home.
  23. I am wondering if the double all credits or only the base. We are cruising in a suite which is normally 2 cruise credits. Wondering if we will receive 3 or 4 cruise credits for this cruise.
  24. It is showing up on the 2 UK cruises we have booked with premier.
  25. I have to admit I am not familiar with that service. It looks like Princess does provide access so that might work if you have the correct provider. It does not look like gigsky works with it based on what I looked up quickly.
