  1. One week from today, we will be joining you in San Francisco.

I'm looking forward to meeting all of you. If I am correct, the Cruise Critic meet & greet will be the following day at 12:15 pm in the Commodore Club?

Stupid question: Does Cunard provide umbrellas?

    See you soon!

    Glenn

  2. Sarah,

Let me join all the others who have thanked you for your great report and pictures. I just found your report yesterday and have now finished reading all of the pages (like a good thriller, I couldn't stop reading!).

I board the Queen Elizabeth 11 days from today on Feb. 6 in San Francisco. I didn't think that I could get more excited, but your report and pictures has really hyped up the level of excitement and anticipation!

    Thanks again, Glenn

  3. @Brigittetom:

I see you are going to be on the Queen Mary 2 for the W.B. crossing on May 9, 2014. We will also be on that crossing, as the last leg of our World Voyage. My parents and other relatives are going to join us for the crossing. I look forward to meeting you then.

    Glenn

  4. Kathi,

Thanks for starting this thread. I will be eagerly reading all of the notes and will try to contribute once I board the ship in San Francisco.

Tomorrow you will be boarding the Queen Elizabeth! how exciting.

Bon Voyage and I'll see all of you in San Francisco.

    Glenn

  5. Does anybody know why the Inspiration is docking at San Pedro (Los Angeles) instead of at her regular port in Long Beach. She usually is in Long Beach every Monday and Friday but for the last week or so, she has been in San Pedro instead. The dock here in Long Beach is empty so it isn't because of another ship.

The Carnival Miracle is still docking at Long Beach every Sunday.

    Thanks for your help.

    Hobie.

  6. I leave on Tuesday for a 15 night cruise from Vancouver to Long Beach, via Hawaii.

I'm going to be on the Carnival Miracle! Yikes! CARNIVAL!!!! Hairy chest contest and all (although I don't qualify for that!).

I rarely cruise on Carnival but I got a good offer on this cruise and the cruise ends in Long Beach with the Miracle docked across the bay from my home.

After this cruise, I'll concentrate on the Infinity and meeting all of you.

  7. I arrived home yesterday after a fantastic Mediterranean cruise on Serenade of the Seas.

Of course, Stef's great review was a big help.

    @Steph:

I checked the community bulletin board every day (including the first two days) and never saw any notice for any GLBT get together. This is the first cruise that I can remember that didn't have GLBT gatherings. Turns out that you probably didn't miss anything your first two days.

You will be amused to know that the ice machine on the outside deck, aft of Windjammer is still "temporarily" out of order! No big deal. I sure enjoyed eating breakfast out there.

Now I have to catch up with all of your notes since I left two weeks ago!

Thanks again for the great review.

    Hobie.

  8. Seth,

Thanks for your note. Yes, I'm excited about next week's cruise. One week from today I'll be in Cannes!

Our itinerary is: Cannes, Livorno, Rome, Athens, Ephesus, Santorini and Salerno. I have never been to any of those destinations.

I have a little bit longer air flight then you. 4 1/2 hours Los Angeles to Atlanta and 9 hours Atlanta to Barcelona.

i wish that you and Tarik were there to hold my hand!

Thanks again for your wonderful review.

    Hobie.
