  1. We were on Noordam on a transatlantic right before she went into dry dock. We never saw anything that would indicate she was ready for any repairs or updated. Nor did they start any preparations early while we were sailing. Would not hesitate to do it again

  2. Much like a land based casino, the best offers go to the spouse who plays the most. In my case, I have to log in on HAL website under my DW's ID to see the casino rate we qualify for.

So, to get the best casino deals, one should maximize the play of one person, minimize the other. For example, if a couple is playing together, be sure to use the same card (cabin key) all the time.

    Great idea! Thanks!

  3. We received a casino offer that was a free cabin. It came in my husband’s name. He did not want to go, but my sister did. Because it was in his name, I could not use it without him. I was told that the next time we sailed to speak to the casino manager and request any offers come in my name and mariner number. We will see if that works

  4. Nobody has posted it this time, but a previous time the offer was there some said that if they had a different AX sign in for different cards, they were able to get the offer that way on multiple cards in the same person's name..

We were able to do it last spring on our Delta Amex and this time around on our Blue Sky Amex. Each of us had a different user name and password for each card. Not the same person’s name...we each have a card in our own name

  5. I just tried the online chat Amex customer service and I wasn’t able to get the offer for my delta gold card.

A few times ago I had it on my card, my husband did not. I called and spent quite a bit of time on the phone with customer service and found that if an offer is not on the card, they cannot post it to the card...end of story

  6. I would be a bit anxious. If the ship gets in late it would take time to clear, you would have to get luggage, go through customs, catch transportation and get to the airport in time. Maybe if you did luggage direct on the way home you would make it, but it would be close

  7. If it isn’t on your card, it may not get on there. One time it was on my card, but not my husband’s. I called to see if it could be put on his and they said no. This time around it was on both our cards. Not Delta, but Blue Sky. Got the Delta one last winter

  8. Thanks for sharing.

The offer showed up on both my business card & my husbands personal card.

Not sure it will work on the final payment needed for my upcoming Carnival, simply due to the language of having to make reservation between Sept & Oct of this year. And I didnt book direct with Carnival.

However, wont hurt to book us another cruise under my husband.

In addition, since it is also on my business card, without any connection to my husband, I think its time my company had a board meeting. I need some advisory members to discuss strategy, anyone want to join in?

My only concern is what type of travel insurance, reimbursement, loss of this, cancellation of that does Amex offer compared to Chase Sapphire Reserve, which I use for all my travel. Im not sure any other card can beat thier coverage.

So maybe partial payment with Amex, other part with Chase so you get the best of both worlds?

It will work for a cruise already booked. Have done it twice on two different Amex cards for trip in January. Used last winter on Delta Amex for $100 off $500(both our cards for $200) and yesterday on our Blue Sky Amex(both cards)

  9. Was about to post this... saw the offer in my Amex account today.

Can anyone familiar with this offer please clarify for me...?

I currently have a booking held but haven't paid in full. That's happening on Monday with my Amex card. Will I get the credit?

Edit-- my confusion is around the "new bookings" part. My booking is held with two FCCs. Never used my credit card. I guess I'm wondering if they consider a new booking "new" when it's held with FCCs, or "new" when it's actually paid for with the card.

    Thanks,

    Andrew

Go online now and make the $750 payments. You will get the credit. Then you can make the final when it is due

  10. You can only buy them when sailing. If you book on board after buying them, you get double OBC. If not, when you book, your deposit is covered by the FCC and you get OBC according to your category of cabin. They are good for 4 years. If not used, your money is returned to you. We always have one or two FCC at all times

  11. Does it show up on our card info on line? Should we call AMX if we can't find it, as I looked up cruise but didn't see anything about credits.

If it doesn’t show up in your offers, they won’t put it on there. I called on the past offers. Once it was on my card, but not on my husband’s card. A while back, someone here was able to give a link to the Delta Skymiles promo. It wasn’t on my card, but I could follow the link and add it to my card. Don’t know how he could do the link. The post with a link here does not take you to the promo, just the Carnival website
