I put all important documents, wallets, and jewelry in a quart plastic zip lock and place it in the safe. In case of emergency, all I would have to do is grab the bag.
The other thing I do is keep, and pack in the "safe" bag, the drug information sheets and extra receipt labels that my pharmacy places with my perscriptions.

yI love that, but am not brave enough to go to the IKEA in our city. a) it is a zoo at all hours and I cannot reason why! And b) it is a trek. It is a maze that you are almost obligated to go through as there are very few short cuts to deviate from the prescribed route!Look in Amazon, I got mine from them.
I have just started using packing cubes, what a great thing. I left undies and sleepwear packed in one and put it in a drawer. As I wore clothing, I would put it back in the cube and I stored all of the extraneous counter stuff in one and left it on the counter. The last night, I just gathered up all the cubes, put them back in suitcases and Voila...packed.
I also put all of the items that I place in the safe in one large ziplock bag. That way every thing is in one place and nothing gets left behind.

Thanks, so much. I was used to a 60 day print date.

Where can I find either where to print the luggage tags or where to request them ( junior suite). I am a first time RCCL client.
Thanks.

Eliminated designers don’t go home. They stay sequestered and actually travel around with the active contestants so that if seen in public, no one can tell who has been eliminated and who is still in the competition.
From today.com
: How long are the designers actually in New York for the filming of Project Runway? How much time do they have between challenges? —Joan
A: Just over a month: 32 days. That's according to Tim Gunn, who said during a Washington Post chat that they "tape for 32 consecutive days — no breaks! We're all done in by the end, including me!"
With 11 episode to shoot in that time, that leaves about three days for each challenge.
Also, Korinna states that her elimination was last night( or something like that) and the hurt still too new.

Just a reminder: you do NOT have to buy a coffee/tea to get the pastries. Those are complimentary.

The WORST error is on the menu of the Bistro: Entree's. I know that the writer meant there to be an accent on the e, but the "typer" saw an apostrophe.
The Celebrity Today issues on our latest cruise were so bad, we developed a drinking game: Anne of Green Cabels? (gulp) Bermuda excursion in Quebec? (gulp) Bin Band music (gulp).
-
We were told that the special brunches were trials for the Bermuda runs.

Where is this posted in Celebrity's website? Also I only found out after the cruise that you could order 2 deserts and are not limited to 1.:( The waiter should have mentioned it. As for the Celebrity Century it actually was in a better shape than I expected considering that it will be retired the next year.
On the cruises that I have been on there are a few cooking demos. The chefs from the various restaurants and sections (pastry) show their stuff.
As part of these demos, each chef gives his CV. They have all studied at major culinary institutes or under renowned chefs.
RE: multiple servings, you could have asked your waiter if you could try 2 or more desserts or entrees or apps. The worst that could have happened is that he would say sorry, no. My father used to say"don't ask for anything, and you won't get anything."

The only 'nececessity' we forgot on our (first) cruise was my son's toothbrush. We purchased one at the ship's store for $2.99.
Overall, I didn't feel we overpacked. I never used the over the door shoe organizer that was suggested that I took along. Plennnty of bathroom storage and I take lots of hair care stuff and son has all kinds of aftershave and what not.
Never used duct tape that was suggested. Didn't use the small inflatable tube in the pool, because both pools were saltwater and floating was easily done.
I hated the ship's hair dryer, you had to keep your hand on the button the whole time for it to work and it's wasn't powerful. I don't have that much hair but it took forever to dry; will take my own dryer next time.
One thing that wasn't a necessity but I would take next time is a stain remover for any clothes that get a splatter of food. If that happens early in the cruise, it's nice to rinse and pre-treat so it has time to work on the stain until you wash it after the trip.
Btw, did I read that someone uses "Resolve Carpet Cleaner" in a spray bottle to pre-treat fabric stains? I am always looking for a good stain remover; the ones I've tried have mixed results.
Something I have always used to pretreat stains is Dawn dishwashing detergent or shampoo dabbed on the stain and then gently rub the liquid into the stained area.
Both are designed to remove grease/oil. The stains have never set. A quick fix is also baby powder. Place the powder on the stain and then wait until you see the stain "lift." You can then use a pretreat solution.

Wear my heaviest pair --sneakers/running shoes. Everyday shoes and a pair of black ballet slippers ( Aerosole flats that are super comfy and adapt to cruise swelling feet). I may bring another pair of everyday shoes like go-walkers if I am going to a warm climate and will be doing a lot of walking. I go for comfort and safety. I do not want to be tottling along in heels on a shifting floor.

Not on a cruise, but I went to grad school with Jill Biden.
and stood chatting with Sally Field in the Ladies' Room line in a New York Theater.
Helped Andrea McCardle (original Annie) get her parents situated in the disembarkation lounge.

The Broadway shows are nice for those who can't go to live theater because of the distance from a major city. The abridged versions give these folks a chance to experience live theater. For those of us who live near a major city, no one is forcing us to view these versions. But, it is a wonderful opportunity for everyone else,
I would go to see a revival. To add to another poster, how about...
Damn Yankees
Guys and Dolls
42nd Street
Mame...and the list goes on
Great shows with songs that you can hum along with

Two completely different songs: Memories and The Way We Were.
The lyrics in CATS song are based on poems by TS Eliot: Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats (1939).
"The Way We Were" is the title song to the 1973 movie The Way We Were, starring Barbra Streisand and Robert Redford.[1] The song was written by Alan Bergman and Marilyn Bergman (lyrics) and Marvin Hamlisch (music)

tax on what? the $600 price tag quoted on NCL's website?
If you are a US citizen, Income taxes.
-
No the quoted NCL price usually does NOT include port fees/taxes.
So your price is 1/3 of the price,
-
Depends on how the port authority arranges the ships. There seems to be a schedule.

. Is there any benefit of purchasing the drink package before embarkation?
Some people like to prepay as much as possible, so they buy it ahead of time.
BUT, if you have a lot of OBC, you may want to wait until on board.

. She took a body of Enfamil out and began feeding the child. Not one but two people (probably from the same group) came up to her and recommended that she breast feed her child. .
So the nosy nellies have spectrophotmetric eyes and they could tell that the liquid in the bottles was Enfamil and not pumped breast milk? Those people should work for the NSA. Think of the government money that could be saved? Hair Gel? <glance of spectrophotmetric eyes> NO, it's gel explosives!
Reminds me of my friend's daughter, 9.5 months pregnant at her brother's wedding. Her doctor held out inducing her so that she could sing at and attend her brother's wedding. She going to be induced on Monday if the baby didn't come by then. The doctor told her (she didn't ask, he volunteered) that she could have a glass of wine at the reception to toast her brother and his bride. At the toast, as mommy to be was taking a sip of wine, a woman shouted out,"Don't drink that, you'll hurt your baby."
Happy end to story, mommy went into labor at the reception and had a baby boy five hours after the reception ended. Healthy baby, healthy mom.

Are you clicking on RESET Search after you choose Europe from the pull down menu?
Don't.
When you choose a location from the pull down menu, the location automatically loads. When you click Reset Search, it zeros out your choice and starts fresh.
