  1. That's not true. If you have a way I can contact you outside of CC (maybe by email?), I can show you that I received OBC for this cruise.

I was wondering if you wouldn't mind contacting me regarding the OBC. I spoke to a 'supervisor' and they were adamant that NO ONE on the April 15 sailing of the Regal is getting OBC.

It has nothing to do with when you booked the cruise or what loyalty level you are. Princess stands firm that they gave everyone advance notice before final payment that ***** would not be available. She said if I was so disappointed, I should have cancelled the cruise.

  2. Does the royal princess have a lobster night in the dining room

Sent from my iPad using Forums

I am currently on the Regal and we had the lobster last night, 2nd formal night. We got 1 large lobster tail and a 1/2 of a small lobster tail. It was over risotto that was like wallpaper paste, plus it was covered with some white sauce and they had NO CLARIFIED BUTTER for the lobster. The chefs would not have done well on Hell's Kitchen or Top Chef. They failed to clean the vein out of the tail. They was a nice line of black yuck on each side of the tail. It was not only mine. The other 3 at the table had the same thing. :(

Now tonight's dinner was filet mignon and grilled prawns. Both were better than the lobster.

  3. I thought the same thing as you CDay.... if one is willing to show up at the venue, order, etc.... then what happens after that should be their business.... BUT, I know that this kind of thing seems to be one of those crazy big deals on cruise ships. ????????

Why, did you try it and they physically stopped you? If they tried to stop me, I would tell them I needed to take medicine before my meal, and I forgot it in my cabin and don't want to walk all the way there and back. You are not asking for a box or anything special. The pizza's are individual size and come on a dinner plate.

  4. A friend will be picking me up at Port Everglades after my cruise. We will have a couple of hours to kill before she takes me to the airport. Can anyone recommend a nice restaurant in the area to have breakfast?

Unfortunately, my friend is not from the Ft. Lauderdale area, so she is not familiar with what is around there. Thanks. :):hot-beverage:

  5. Thanks everyone for your suggestions. I think we are going to use the Princess transfers. We have flights booked through EZAir that depart at 10:45am. We will need an early departure and don't want to risk having to wait in a long taxi line.

  6. The Regal will be docking in Copenhagen on a Sunday at 5am where we will disembark. What is the best way to get from the cruise port to the airport? Should we just bite the bullet and get a Princess transfer? Are taxi's available at the port?

    thanks! :)

  7. Thanks everyone for your responses and thanks Pam for the pictures. I dug out my cruise Atlas and it shows only R232 & R233 can hold 4 people, in that particular sideways grouping. Phew... happy cruiser here! :)

  8. R226 doesn't show as accommodating more than 2 people, when I check the Deck Plan.

Sorry, you are incorrect. R226 on the Regal can hold up to 4.

No one has any info about the sideways cabins on the Riviera deck?

  9. Hi, we were just assigned R226 on a guarantee. It is one of those sideways interiors, but it can hold 4. Does anyone know if the additional beds come down from the ceiling or are on the wall? Thanks

  10. I will be disembarking the Regal on a Sunday. I friend from Stuart, FL is going to pick me up at the port and take me back to her house for a few days.

What time would be best for her to arrive, to avoid the most traffic? Is there any problem getting through the security gate at the port entrance?

Is it easy to find your ride at the port? Thanks!

  11. I like the idea of the angled balcony so that one can naturally look forward... But, now I am thinking that, it might be good to give that up for a balcony angled Aft, to provide more protection blocking wind when underway every evening. Anybody here have any insight? Thanks!

I agree with you. Aft facing would be better to block the wind.

  12. Grand jury's meet in secret. I mean, obviously everyone knows the grand jury meets, but much like Vegas, what goes on in the grand jury room stays in the grand jury room. Grand juries don't decide guilt or innocence. They decide whether the case moves forward to trial or not.

I just got a questionnaire for grand jury. I sure hope they don't pick me. My state is one day a week, in the state capital, for 18 months!!

I will have to tell them I can't keep a secret and will be blabbing details to everyone! ;) :D

  13. I guess MelAMes didn't get the sympathy here they were expecting. Doubt we will hear from them again. ;p

"I had such a traumatizing experience, all I could think about upon disembarking was contacting Princess Customer Relations. I thought for sure they would be appalled and send me an apology letter or something. "

(perhaps the or something they wanted was $$$)(what do you want Princess to say, "Sorry you had a lousy time on your cruise. Here is your money back.")

Doubtful they were on the Emerald, I can't believe they would expect an apology for a murder.

But if you were so traumatized, why would you wait until you got off the ship to contact Princess?? Why not do it while you are on board?

  14. We are booked through Princess Air. Flights between the UK and USA.

The flights are dual airline flights (Lufthansa & United).

The return flights are United flight numbers but are actually on Lufthansa planes. My problem is that I cannot reserve advance seats on these. Lufthansa will not open this until 23 hours in advance of flight.

I have spoken to people at Lufthansa and United. My TA has spoken to Princess Air at length.

I'm told by United that Lufthansa could offer us reservations but as we have the United flight number, they are just being awkward. (To change to a Lufthansa flight number would cost in excess of £1000 for the exact same flight).

My OH has a leg injury, so we always pay extra for 'extra leg room' on long haul flights - as this flight is around 11 hours, it's vital.

23 hours in advance of the flight we will be at sea and it is likely there will be no economy plus seats available anyway.

After many years of travel this is the first time I've encountered this problem. Even when we have had dual airline flights.

    Can anyone suggest anything?

You do not mention how far away your cruise/flight is. Princess does not ticket the air until 45 days before, even though your cruise will be paid for 75 days ahead of time.

You need to submit a Flexible Early Ticketing Request. Princess will then pay for your flight and you will be able to pick seats. You cannot pick seats until the tickets are PAID for.

I have done this many times with no problems. I have attached a copy of the form you need to submit.

    Good Luck!

  15. Those who fly on Southwest Airlines want to check in 24 hours before flight time to get their place in line. If they wait until they check-in with luggage, they will likely be among the last to board the plane and then can enjoy their middle seats.

Just pay the $15 for early bird check in and problem solved. No need to be logging on 24 hr before and no middle seat. :D
