  1. The published time is 6:00 am to 9:00 am. People are upset because people who put their luggage out the night before and are flying home will now have to put it in their luggage after they go through customs or at the airport and then reweigh their bags. People have posted it has taken anywhere from 15 minutes to 2 hours. Someone posted there are 2 lines: one for liquor purchased on the ship and one for liquor purchased on the islands. if you purchased both places, you have to stand in 2 lines.

2 different lines? What a pain.

  2. You'll take the shuttle, it's $3 for a round trip (or it was in February) and they'll try to sell you tours. Last time we were there they were selling the bufadora for $15. The shuttle drops right at the ticket office to buy the tours, or you can just wander off.

We've walked to town from the pier before...I don't recommend it.

    Our experience also.

  3. According to Carnival, the official answer is No. The people passing out the liquor are supposed to have a list of B2B cruisers and not give them the liquor until the morning of deembarkation of the second cruise. (I know stewards have a list of B2B cruisers.) Even if someone can tell you that they were able to get their liquor on XYZ ship on XYZ date and drink it on the second leg, it does not mean you will also be able to do it. Whether the policy of holding liquor until the end of the last cruise is implemented may depend on the ship and/or crew passing out the liquor. Different ships seem to implement a lot of policies differently. Perhaps you could go to the roll call section and go to a roll call a few weeks before your sail date and someone there can tell you if it worked on that ship. Otherwise you will just have to take your chances or get someone who is not doing a B2B to buy it for you. I know some of the Journeys cruises have over a 1,000 B2B cruisers. I wonder how well they will check with that many.

Did you call or is this on the website?

  4. t was posted (I think JH page) that when the new policy was implemented in July, you could not longer take your bottles back to your cabin if they were purchased the last night. People who were upset about having to stand in line the morning of deembarkation said they were just going to wait and purchase it late the last night so they could pack it in their suitcase and avoid the morning lines. The reply was that would not work because no one would be allowed to purchase liquor and take it to their room the last night. Last night purchases would go to the central place to be distributed the last morning.

Sounds like we are back to picking them up the last morning then.

    Anyone else?

  6. I do not have any experience with this, but read a couple of weeks ago where someone said they have a list of B2B cruisers and will not give them purchased liquor after the first leg. I wonder if there are long lines and they are in a hurry if they will bother to check. It would be safer to get someone else that is just doing the first leg to purchase it for you.

Thinking about doing that if it's the only way to go but would much prefer to get them myself if possible.

  7. BUMP! Sure glad I'm not the only one waiting for an answer. Would love to hear someone's experience.

We leave Thursday as we are driving to Ft Lauderdale. We will get off the Conquest on the 26th. Then going to Orlando for a day, St Pete's Beach for 2 days, then start our drive back home. I will report how things go.

Have a great trip and enjoy. Will be waiting to hear how things work out for you.

  8. Any time dining for me, and preferably a table for two. I'm not on vacation to be on a schedule, and we like to eat by ourselves and enjoy each others' company.

Same for us. We used to do early but since they began offering ATD we have switched. It's nice to be on your own schedule.

  9. this has worked every time I've B2B'd. Just don't spread the word until the last day that you will be staying on. You should be able to pick it up in the morning as usual and take it to your cabin.

New rule took effect in July where you now have to collect your bottles on the morning of embarkation as they no longer deliver to your room on the last night.
