Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Good morning, can you arrive at port on embarkation day any time if you are YC? I tried calling MSC to ask and the guy started reading me the itinerary. There was a language barrier. We just got our bid accepted so I’m confused. Thanks so much for any insight.
  2. I was told by MSC today that it used to say antigen or PCR and they changed it to NAAT or antigen. She told me to make sure it was antigen or NAAT. Well, we went today and they gave us a PCR, flu, and rsv test!! We had to wait for them to send us the negative results. I was so stressed and my husband read more about it and he says we will be fine with PCR because PCR is a type of NAAT test. I have been very stressed about it. Last week someone from MSC told me the OnPoint test would not be accepted. You have another month, hopefully it will be dropped before then.
  3. Good morning, MSC says test has to be NAAT or antigen. My Drs office has PCR. I call MSC and they basically read from a script. I look online and I guess I’m not smart enough to understand if a NAAT and PCR test are the same. One article sounds like it is, the next doesn’t 🤦‍♀️. Can anyone shed some light on this for me please. Appreciate it!
  4. Good morning, does anyone know how many days before cruise you have to book a drink package? I know it’s either 2 or 3. Thanks in advance.
  5. Good morning, for those that have put in for a bid to upgrade in the past, how long did it take before you cruised to find out? Thanks in advance.
  6. I am wondering the same. I was told today by MSC that it had to be lab administered. Would love to know if an unvaccinated person who sailed to the Caribbean in the past few weeks had success using OnTouch.
  7. I got another email yesterday to invite me to bid. I went today to bid for YC, put in my credit card, and it says it can’t process at this time. Did I wait too long ?
  8. Good morning, I was told we would be self pay to test for Covid before cruise at our local urgent care. It would be $195 for each person. Is there anyone who has been on MSC in the US recently that could tell me if you went to your local Dr office to get tested? I’ve seen some talk about OnPoint and wondering if we should go that route? Thanks in advance.
  9. It would be $2k more for a 7 night to bid for YC. What is everyone’s opinion on this? Is it really worth it?
  10. Does it give you the option in putting in a price after you put in your credit card info?
