We always eat at least one time in the steak house (Crown Grill). In my opinion the steaks are great but you pay a $25 up charge per person. There is no charge for the IC food items. If you want a drink you will be charged unless you have purchased one of the drink cards.

Ship time and port of call time is normally the same. But there is always exceptions but very few. We have sailed 13 times on Princess and the time local time and ships time is the same. They always put a card on your bed the evening of a time zone change. Also turn to the ships information channel on the TV to see what the time is.

You will find it but it will not be as large of a selection as on the Royal or Regal. It will cost $1.50 for a three scoop serving. On the Royal we could use a punch on the coffee card for the gelato.

The lights will turn only if you put the card in. However it will only stay on about 30 or 60 seconds if you take the card out. They only stay on with a card. But using other cards to keep them on defeats the whole purpose of saving on energy consumption which adds cost of running the ships generator sets when it is not really needed. If some one is in the cabin then what is the problem with leaving the card in. Seems a little petty to have a problem with it.

Why waste your money when the water is perfectly fine on the ship. The ships water purification system is as good or not better than what you get in the bottled water you buy at the store. In our 13 cruises with Princess we have found the water to be just fine.

The ship time is always the same as the port of call. The ship always lets the pax's know when it move into another time zone. Also just turn on the TV and go to the ships information Channel to get the current time.

I'll be elite after two more cruises but I have to agree with you some seem to think that status give them special treatment. If you don't like the MDR menu, which is posted every day then use other dinning venues.

Not necessarily. We normally ask for the same table each night when we find a waiter we like. Been doing this since 2008.

We were on the Emerald on Thanksgiving. We had wonderful service. Steward was very good, Arnold our waiter in anytime dining was wonderful and the bar waiters in the Piazza were very friendly. Everyone has their own opinion!

Sign up at the customer service desk as soon as you get on board. Since they take only 12 on the tour get your name on the list as soon as possible. If you have problems navigating stairways they will not let you go. When I took it on the Coral they would not let walkers or scooter on the tour. Its a great tour. I plan on taking it again some day.

Unless you are a wine snob and can't live with our a particular wine then just get your wine on board. I purchase a bottle on the first night in the MDR to use for dinner during remaining cruise days. Since I'm not a wine expert it works for me.

We will be eating in it the week of Thanksgiving on the Emerald Princess. I normally get the porterhouse. The DW gets the fillet. I may try the bribery this time.

It different from the other ships. It runs port to starboard. There are multiple sections which seems to feel less congested.

We are booked on a Thanksgiving week cruise out of Houston (Bayport) and will book one for this time next year . Last year we sailed in November out of Houston and had no problems. There are a number of good hotels in the area both at Bush International Airport and Hobby (the closest to the terminal). Hobby is the closest at about 20 minutes from the terminal. Bush International is about 50 minutes. If you purchase Princess transfers they will get you to and from the terminal with out much trouble. If you come in a day or two early there are a number of places to see and good food establishments. If you are staying on the south side of town you are only about 30- 40 minutes (traffic dependent) to Galveston and the beaches. Please don't base your decision on one review of an area. We have lived in the area for 50 plus years and we fell. That we have just a much to offer as any of the other areas.

We have never had to wait and we always use anytime dinning. If you wait until 6:00 to 7:00 PM to eat then there is always people waiting. We always eat at 5:30 (we like to eat early even at home).

Yes Hector has an amazing voice. We had him on the Island on our B2B in 2009. He was our best waiter in the MDR. I have a CD of his music and it is great. We were told on the cruise that he won Mexico's version of America Idol.
