What do you thing of Dale winning the 500

We like the Marriott Courtyard; it is right on the beach, has a Bubba Gump retaurant and other restaurants with in walking distance.

If you buy travel insurance for a cruise and you cancel the cruise prior to the first deadline and you get all your cruise deposit back can you get the travel insurance portion back also?

My 17 year old DS was caught by RCCL security one year for being past the curfew at 1:30 am. he was brought to the security office and we had to go and get him. He was not during anything wrong at the time. make sure your parents know where you will be late into the evening.

We love the cold fruit based soups that are served in the MDR. Goes anyone know how to get a recipe for these soups so we can make them at home?

Many of the window cabins are on the lower decks so if you could open them there would be a chance of sea water coming in with rough seas.

It will be almost impossible to do both trips. Trunk Bay snorkling is fantastic but it going to take a taxi over to Red Hook, a ferry ride to St John, a open truck type taxi to Trunk Bay beach and reverse the trip back. We have been to St Thomas many times and seen turtles but never sting rays on our excursions, good luck.

Allure was our favorite ship after 13 cruises. Monarch of the Seas, just too small.
As for the extreme differences on the Oasis and Allure from loved it to hated it; If depends on your general point of view people, places and activities. I have a feeling the same people that hate the Allure and Oasis would hate New York City as tourists but to each his own view.

Our cruise this year may stop in St Croix in the US Virgin Islands. Has anyone taken a beach break there and what did you think of the beaches for cleanliness, clarity and crowds.
-
We took a cat to a snorkling location; depending on the currents and the clarity the trip was OK but not the best.

Is it true Quantum of the Seas will not have a royal promenade? Big mistake for those who love a great people watching place

Has anyone noticed that RCCL has lowered their standards for the top entertainment in the main rooms? It used to be you got at least two performers a night and one person would be someone you would recognize. I love the big production numbers, they are great but having people like the Nelson twins really worth it.

We enjoy breakfast in the dining room. If you want something not on the menu they will get it for you. I am a big chocolate milk drinker in the am, and it is not on the menu, but they always bring me one, and it is good. Also enjoy room service eating on the balcony. Bad thing is the limited options on the room service menu.
It it funny how adults sometimes are looked upon as strange if you order chocolate milk for breakfast? I am a big fan of great chocolate milk even at 64. Godiva milk chocolate is to die for. Hershey's is good but cn not compare to Godiva. If you are ever in south east Pennsylvania you must go to Hershey's Chocolate World.

As long as we do not have an early excursion we eat in the MDR for breakfast. You can dine with strangers and meet people from all over the world or eat by yourselves. The food is better, hotter and the waiters pay attention to your needs

We have been on both many times and I agree with the posters ratings for ship experience are very subjective. But the one thing i can say is RCCL's Allure and Oasis can not be compared to any other ship out there. These ships can not be explained to people who have not been on them. Carnival is still trying to catch up with their ships but it seems to be a losing battle.

Hello UM Terps fan,
We live in Columbia, MD and have been on 9 RCCL cruises. We are thinking of going on the New Years Eve cruise on the AOS. When will you post the rest of the review? How was the beach in San Juan. Did you go to the Quest show?
-
Hope to go to Santorini in 2015
-
Prior to our RCCL cruise what is the best hotel to staying in San Juan if money is no object.
-
Has anyone stayed at the Radisson Hotel in San Juan?

My son who is 22 has been a vegan for 5 years. He has been on 5 cruises of of 13 that he had to have a vegan diet, He lived on vegan pizza, veggie mexican, pasta nd other items. Be careful in that the wait staff as mentioned does not understand what a vegan meal is. I woud contact RCCL before you leave and when you get on the ship. The Windjammer does have vegan based items but you must be careful if this person wants to strictly go vegan.

St Lucia is just beautiful. It as close to looking like the Hawaiian Islands you will ever see in the Caribbean.
-
Be aware that large tables over 8 people on many of the ships can be located far away from the center of the MDR. Contact RCCL as soon as possible. Once you get on the ship that day go to the MDR and check out the seating arrangements they have made for you.

That's shut the roads down, sorry bout that
Photos of JR suites on Allure or Oasis

Does anyone have photos of the junior suits on the Allure or Oasis? We are not sure we want to spend the extra money versus a regular balcony cabin.
