  1. I just got back from a "Perfect day on Coco Cay" and want you to know you can enjoy it without spending any money. The question has been asked before about how much things cost, but there is so much to do for every age from toddler to retiree which is included. The covered cabanas and day beds are the most costly, but there are many lounge chairs with a full size umbrella in between them, and we relaxed there for most of the day. There was plenty of shade both in the beach area and the pool area. I've been to Labadee twice, but not in recent years, and to Coco Cay once before the recent improvements. I found the quality of the food available on Coco Cay delicious, hot, and plentiful, and much better than before. There are nice restrooms, many bars, different food offerings, and even a towel exchange booth. A DJ and four dancers entertained around the beautiful and very large pool area, and the beverage servers and lifeguards were very attentive. I can't wait to go back to Coco Cay!
  2. We'll be boarding the Symphony in four weeks. Do you know if the cruise director and entertainment director will still be on board? It sounds like the music on your cruise was good; I hope the same bands are there for us. On the Oasis and Allure we enjoyed Boleros and the jazz club, but found that the times overlapped. Did you find seats to listen to the music at these two venues? Did you use the app to check in and for the schedule of events? Others have posted that the app information is not always accurate. Thanks for your great review.
  3. Date of Cruise: 04/14/2019 Ship: Edge Cabin #: 6214 Deck #: 6 Cabin Category: Panoramic Ocean View Cabin Location: By Aft elevators Bed Position: By the bathroom Balcony Type: none Balcony/Window Size: Floor to ceiling size Balcony/Window View/Obstruction: Very obstructed by lifeboat Balcony Overhang?: n/a Magic Carpet Issues?: n/a Noise Issues?: None. It was surprisingly quiet, but we usually sail in a balcony cabin. We really missed the closeness of the sea - the sound, the breeze, the sunrise and sunset. Wind Issues?: n/a Connecting Cabin? Where Does it Connect?: No Suite Details: Advantages/Problems/Comments: This cabin should be discounted due to the unpleasant obstruction. Would You Book It Again?: Never - not even if discounted. I am booked on a RCCL (Royal) balcony in 4 months.
  4. Thanks.....as I stated, so much of the "interesting" things about the Edge had already been said, so I tried to talk about the "differences" that I enjoyed (like the 4 dining rooms). I'm not sure how to post a link. Please enlighten me, and I'll do it. I assume it would be under a new topic. We wanted to enjoy the solarium, but we found it hot and humid, whereas outside on the floor above the sunset bar there was shade as well as a nice breeze. My husband is a good napper, but he couldn't take the moist environment in the solarium. There were always people lounging as well as wading in the pool, but we could still always find two lounges in a nice location.
  5. A big "thank you" to vtcruising and others who provided such helpful information about the Edge. I did not experience any bad smells either during our 4/14 cruise. My review is now posted - I submitted it about a week ago.
  6. I enjoyed reading your comments, especially since I was also on the 4/14 Edge. I used to drag my husband to the CC events, but as he's gotten older, he's not as agreeable. I wish I'd known you and your co-worker were aboard - I would have attended without him! I've been a CC admirer since 2003. I don't always submit reviews because I find most comments I would have are already made. I did just submit my review of the Edge, since there is a lot of interest in this new design. Can you tell me about how long it takes for my review to be posted?
  7. Which places are recommended, within walking distance (we usually walk 3 miles daily) for their famous key lime pie? How about Key West bars that have live music? Anyone know if the Edge MDRs offer key lime pie?
  8. Any information on cabin 6135? It's more forward than I like, but there aren't many cabins available for my 4/14/19 spring break cruise.
  9. We have cabin 6225 booked for April 2019. Thanks.
