Carnival Cruise Lines is returning to Norfolk next year, Gov. Terry McAuliffe told the General Assembly on Monday night.

Fake booking: If you use 2 passengers a cat may show sold out. If you change to 3 passengers you may get quite a few open cabins.
Do you mind sharing what shore excursion you booked for this? Curious if there are other reductions. Thanks!
Will post when we get the refund. Hard to say which one as we book and cancel several along with private tours. -
Frist time in 20 cruises -Tour Adjustment
Have no idea of the amount.
Dear xxxxxx,
Good News!!
Please be advised, part of your Shore Excursion Order, xxxxxxxx, has been revised due to a price reduction to one or more of your booked excursions. Please know the difference in price you've paid has already been refunded back to your credit card ending in and should show on your account in an estimated 5-7 business days, depending on your bank. Thank you and have a wonderful cruise!

Our 2nd sea day. The water slides were closed the first sea day. Now again today. I complained to a supervisor. They said it is due to rough seas????? Really. I have been on around 35 cruises. This is perfectly smooth. Never had that happen before.
There has been a few instances where I feel Carnival has lied to us. I will explain more when I return.
Agree........CCL does not teach their personnel to say "I don't know I will find out for you", they feel they have to give a reason right or wrong. Poor training or the staff person did not speak English. Best answer for everything is the seas are to rough.

I would think that if you left them in the bag the crispyness goes away and they become soft.
Not when consumed the same day :) bag is the delivery vehicle.
If you want them soft put a piece of bread in with them..

Get out the popcorn...

excellent choc chip cookies on lido. But than again we like the crispy kind not the soft ones.
Love them. We fill a zip lock bag on the Lido deck for the cabin several times a trip. Great with choc milk or choc ice cream on the balcony or a late snack.

Anyone know if Carnival will be broadcasting the Olympics on the Seaside Theater?
Hope not, but if they do, shut off the sound.

We avoid medium to large theme cruises. Annoying and disruptive is the best description for the ones we were unable to avoid especially when taking over the pools, hot tubs for the entire cruise and being loud, demanding and a nuisance in the MDR.
-
For us it has been open seating for the most part at you assigned time. YTD was at its separate location. Chaos at times with a lot of confusion. Things settle in on day 2.
Just our experience, may different on certain ships. Seems like many used the buffet.

Back in the day a whole cake enough for the whole table was complimentary. Waiters sang.
Now you pay for the cake ahead of time if you want enough for the table. And on occasion they have forgotten to deliver.

Holiday Inn POM where we stay now. Used to stay at Intercontinental.

I think the only place in the caribbean that we didn't really enjoy was Nassau. There were a bunch of ships in port that day and it was very crowded.
Otherwise we have enjoyed all of the islands. If you forced me to pick, I would pick, in no particular order...
Cozumel (Carnival Imagination and Carnival Valor) - Very easy to get around on your own and beautiful beaches.
Grand Cayman (Carnival Valor) - Stringray City was just amazing.
St. Thomas - (Carnival Breeze) Mainly because we love St. John
Dominica - Just a beautiful island and we spent a fantastic day with Levi Baron from Bumpiing Tours. I'm not sure if Carnival stops in Dominica, however.
Agree on Nassau, favorite for us Aruba also liked Curacao, Barbados, St Johns, and the ones you mentioned. Not a favorite was Jamaica.

Get rid of sharing meals in the MDR.
Serve meals hot in the MDR.
-
Been wondering about that one too.
Predict this will disappear by this time next year. Its not for us or any of our friends who cruise frequently.
Hopefully the new menu has hot food as we have sent on average 3 a week back (on last 3 trips) as they were barely warm or just plain cold. Once it took 3 times to get it hot on our last cruise.

Use US dollars, credit card will get you fee for the exchange if you charge something.

We are on the CCL Sunshine repos. 11 day from NOLA To Canaveral/Orlando April 6, 2014. Great price when we booked for 11 days same as a 7day.
-
To slow....the seasons change as you wait for a page. We only use the phone portion in port. Shut the data down.
-
I would guess that at that time of year, "Sunshine" will sail with almost all the cabins FULL! At least the kids will still be in school, so you shouldn't be overrun with curtain climbers. ;) Rates are still attractive in April.
"SKY"
We booked the Sunshine for the April 6th -11 day repro. at the same cost as a 7 day. As far as kids we don' really attention to the number on the ship.
-
Can not remember a CCL cruise we were on that did not sail full except for the Holiday which had a line at the pier waiting for unsold or no shows back in the day. Both RCCL ships we were on had a few cabins available.
Normally there is a sign when you get on at the service desk that states No Cabins Available.
Boarding passes: All-in-one or separate?
in Carnival Cruise Lines
Posted · Edited by MikeM
We still print and carry our cruise documents including the Boarding Pass (All In One)
With that said I cannot remember when we were asked to produce a Boarding Pass. All we have been asked to show was a credit card, passport.
The luggage tags for us are the most important thing we print.
Would like to know others experience.
