  1. Hey Shackyman, glad to hear you leaving on the Conquest, please take care of her for me, I will be going next year. Please take plenty of pictures and tell me all about her. Only thing is we will be leaving out of Fort Lauderdale.

I have never been on the Conquest so I would love all info. Thanks...

  2. What hotels would anyone suggest to stay near Cruise port in Fort Lauderdale??

We are around 10 to 11 people should we take cabs??

I like going to Port early what time do you suggest. I usually get to NY port at 10:15am.

This is my first time I am flying to a port usually do NY or Bayone. What time should I get a flight back home on day of returning from cruise.

All info truly appreciated, I am writing this cause I am really interested.

Thanks to all for your input.

  3. Hi I am going on the Conquest May 23, 2015 doing the Southern Island. I would like to know if anyone has any idea how big the tables are at dinner we are 11 people. Dinner is at 8:15 pm do we all fit together??

I was looking at the ship it looks or seems to be just like the Splendor am I correct??

Does it have a Mongolian Wok?

Does it have a game room (Arcade) for kids couldn't find or see one?? If they do on what deck is it?

In La Romana Dom. Rep. can I pay if I do my excursion on my own with their money (pesos) or it is only American money??

  4. Hello all I have booked my 2015 cruise. I don't fly so all of my cruises have been out of NY or Bayoone. Next year I decided to do something different being that Carnival Splendor will be away till I think June.

I will somehow get myself to Fort Lauderdale for my May 23, 2015 cruise to Southern Caribbean. So looking forward to it going to La Romana, Grand Turks which I have been to plenty of times, Aruba and Curacao.

This is were I need plenty of help, like I said I don't fly I do take train to Palm Coast once a year so I guess I might have to do that also to Fort Lauderdale. My concern is finding a hotel car to take to cruise terminal.

Also I really want to know how difficult is terminal to access I am partially handicapped I walk with a cane terrible back pains Oesteo Arthritis in one knee and had a knee replacement which seems not to heel.

Anyone out there please I would love any input you may have for me as to time to board ship I usually board ship by 11 am.

I have never been on the Conquest for me it is a new ship any info on her is also welcome.

    Thanks all in advance!!!!

  5. Hi Jamman54 being that you have been on so many cruises. I would like to ask you a question,or if anyone else knows I would like all input. As you all know SPLENDOR not leaving from NY next year till end of May. All my cruises are out of NY I don't fly,but next year I am willing to drive n take my cruise out of Florida. Now I have narrowed it to two cruise the Conquest or Breeze which port would be easier for me I am partially handicapped walking very difficult. It would be Miami or Fort Lauderdale anyone please advice me. Also would FIT be useful at these ports. Thanks...

  6. I sooo sooo totally agree with Tapi...

I would love me a chapel on the ship.

Nobody probably would want one, but hey alittle

bit of prayer before we start our day would be totally

awesome.. If ship were in trouble first words out of

everyones mouth would be OH GOD help me!!! Hey just

    my opinion...

  7. Okay here is a question for the very experienced people cruising with Carnival...

My question is when you see that your cruise fare has gone down and your taxes and fee has gone up are and you have price protection, are you still eligible for an OBC after cruise has been paid for, i really want to know.

    Thanks for your help...

  8. I will only travel in GS and OS. I am a big woman i travel with my husband. I don't like closed in places. If you can afford it do it. I spend my time cruising on the ship hardly ever in my room. But my husband only comes out to eat he sits in the balcony almost all day his cruising is all about relaxing. So for us it really truly suits us. Yes it is definately more money, but i am on vacation. I figure i don't drink or gamble so what i would have spend on other things i will spend to be very very comfortable. As for perks Carnival really doesn't offer any just embarkation and debarkation. Were as Royal and Norwegian have other better perks. Go for it you will love it...

  9. I also use a cane and ca't walk much, so two years ago i did a tour thru carnival for 2 hours, not much to see its a small Island, but it was better then just doing nothing. Now when we stop at Grand turks i just sit by the pool on a lounger under a tree.
