  1. I just had to add Alaska to by bucket list, I did cruise there once on Princess in 2009.  These pictures make me want to go back.  This Sept I will be on the Vision of the Sea cruising the Mediterranean & Greek Islands.  Since it takes me 5 years to save up for a cruise I have a lot of time to check things out.  Currently possibles are *Baltic Sea, *Holy Lands, *New England/Canada, *Transatlantic, and now *Alaska.

I really enjoy all the live reviews, I will be following you

  2. I have a question:  How much euros do you think we need on each port?

    • Barcelona (embarking/disembarking)
    • Cannes (Monaco)
    • Livorno (Cinca Tes)
    • Rome
    • Athen
    • Mykonos
    • Santorini
    • Crete
    • Short Layover at Heathrow Airport (London)

I plan on using my credit card most of the time.  But I don't think it will work if I want a gelato from a vender.  Can I get use my ATM card on board the vision to get cash when needed?

Thank you for any info you can provide

I didn't know so I did a quick Google and this is the answer.

The monument shown in the photo in the December 2014 issue is located in Panama City's Plaza de Francia (French Park), at the tip of Casco Viejo, the city's colonial neighborhood. At the top of the obelisk, built in commemoration of those who died during construction of the Panama Canal, is a rooster, France's national symbol. Smaller monuments, each topped by a bust of a prominent French explorer, surround the obelisk.

    Thank you,

    Thanks for following along.

For cabin we have an inside again. It worked fine for us last time and was in the budget as all the balconies were priced too high for the amount of time we would have spent on it. Last time on canal transit day I was all over the ship anyway.

I agreed with you  when I cruised thru the canal in 2014 on the Legend of the Sea I was going from end to end, and side to side taking pictures and seeing everything I could.

Thanks for taking me along to revisit the area.  I will also  be reading your review since I will be on the Vision in Sept 2019 for a Med/Greek Isle cruise to celebrate my 70th birthday

  5. I will be on the Vision of Sea in Sept 2019, with a POC in Piraeus (Athen) Greece.

I would like to take a shore excurision that includes the Acropolis. I have heard, there are a lot of stairs, and steep walking conditions.

I will be celebrating my 70th birthday on this cruise, Not saying an over the hill, but I'm no spring chicken

Thanks for coming along for the ride again! It was the first time for Patti in an interior cabin. Yes, I know I've spoiled her! :D She actually didn't mind it at all. We used the trick of leaving the television on at night with the bow view camera and the sound off. When it got light outside, it got lighter in our cabin.

Thanks for the tip about leaving the tv on.

  8. I'm enjoying your review. I might be on the Fascination in Nov/Dec 2017., with a POC in Barbados. Since I travel solo, it takes some time to save my pennies, but so far want Fascination is the most reasonable.

I've found out in my research is that Carnival Inside cabin are larger that some of the other. Can you please tell my the square footage of one? Thank you

    Thank you

    Mary Louise
