If you do a tour with a local company in St. Petersburg, do you have to get a VISA before you go? I know that if you do one with Princess, it is included.
Thanks

What ship are you sailing on? How many in the cabin?
If only 2 in the cabin:
While i do like a suite, i would not spend the money on the upsell. Since it is so port intensive, i would use the money for some great and expensive shore excursions.
If there are 4 people in the cabin, that may make me change my mind since you would have extra space and not have to pay the upsell fee for them.

Thanks AmberTeka,
Did you happen to take any pictures?

We did the UBD on the Pacific Princess the end of last May. We did it as we were departing Skagway and the weather was perfect. Yes it was a little cold but worth it:)

AmberTeka,
What did you think of your cabin E409. We are in this cabin next year and just checking to see what people say. Do you have any photos? Did you have a problem with smokers down below? Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks

IMO March 4 is a little early for the big rush over Spring break. That being said, we have done 8 cruises over the break and have had a great time on each one. We had more problems with kids over Thanksgiving cruise.
It will also be nicer and warmer in March:)

RoobyDoo,
We never left our balcony to go topside. The balcony takes up 1/2 of the whole back side of the ship and even wraps around the side a little bit. We could see everything and never missed any whales etc. It was absolutely amazing. AS far as glacier viewing, the captain was able to spin the ship around for both sides to see so we were once again able to see everything.
Not to worry, it is absolutely the best place to be in the best and biggest cabin. Enjoy it while she still sails for Princess:)

You will love that cabin. The room steward was wonderful and room service was great as well. The head of room service was phenomenal and personally took care of the UBD and did an outstanding job. We did it as we left Skagway:)
Have a great time.

We are near Denver as well. We were in 6091 on the aft end and it was great. I really liked the 2 bathrooms, mine and the boys. Although i did let them use my shower.
The balcony was amazing and we did the UBD one night as well. Perfect:)

Yes, should have said that they do alternate each night. 5waldos, see that you are from CO, where? We are too.
What suite are you in? We were in the owners suite and it was great. The biggest in the fleet at well over 900 ft.
ENJOY

We are also in a suite on our upcoming cruise. The first night in either Sabatinis or the Crown Grill will be for all 3 of you in the suite. The dinner that is for the 50Th anniversary on another night is just for 2 people in the suite. We just pay the extra $25 that night for our son, not a problem.
Also, remember that on the Pacific there is not a set dining room for either of these restaurants. So if you want to try both, you will have to check and see what night is what once on the ship.
Hope this helps.

John,
You can have as many as you want but you can only use 1 per person per cruise to get the OBC from using it as a deposit. If you want to use the others as a regular deposit you can, but NO extra OBC. I would wait and use the others for your next cruise.

We will be in a suite and will be getting 2 bar set ups. One we would like to exchange for a bottle of wine. Can we then take that to the MDR or other and use it there without a fee?

My family and i were in the owners suite 6091 last year on the Pacific Princess and absolutely loved it. Yes you do feel a little movement and heard a little bit of creaking but nothing that bothered us.
We loved having 2 bathrooms and the huge balcony. The bed was very comfortable and i slept like a baby. My son said the sofa bed was also great.
It is the biggest balcony in the entire fleet, so enjoy:)
