Make sure that your electric devices are dual-voltage. Plug adapters, like the one posted by bilblbill, allow you to plug your US device into Argentine 220V circuits but do not convert the voltage to 110V.
True voltage converters are rather sizable. Smaller "voltage converters" that look like plug adapters chop off the 220V sine wave rather than converting to 110V, and may damage your device.
I do need to get a converter. My husband has a CPAP which is not dual voltage. Thank you.

Since you are in BA a couple of days before boarding, what converter and adapter are you using? TIA

It shouldn’t be a problem. The worst thing that could happen is you wait in line.

You all remember the Arab Spring began in January 2011. My Mom and I were booked on the Spirit March 21 to April 8 (Dubai to Athens). Of course, we were talking about canceling and rebooking a different cruise. Seabourn would only say “they were monitoring the situation” as many wanted to know of any itinerary changes and whether or not to cancel. Not one word from Seabourn until we all boarded in Dubai and checked in. That is when we were informed of the itinerary change. Instead of Alexandria (where all of us wanted to go) we went to Ashdod. It’s one thing to be aware of any itinerary change but to not advise anyone until we were all onboard was a BIG fail on Seabourn’s part. May 2024 is seven months away but sadly, I think the conflict is going to get worse before it gets better.

We were on the Odyssey in May (Honolulu to Vancouver). We arrived home and within a week received the invitation to join the Farewell Sailing. We’re booked and looking forward to seeing Alaska (again 😆) and Japan. We’re planning on meeting up with our son and visiting Kyoto.

I don't know if they have Aquavit on board, but if they do, the bar is open...............
Would rather have Aquavit than Jäegermeister! Years ago, they used to offer Aquavit at the Galley Lunch.

Thank you. Do you recall where you read that?
I’m back. This is not the page I recall reading but it looks as though it’s 75lbs. https://www.seabourn.com/en_US/find-a-cruise/S5J10AAN2/P510.html

We are going to Antarctica 🇦🇶 on the Pursuit next February. I believe I read that the limit is 50lbs. for the chartered flights to/from Ushuaia. HTH

my issue is the lack of hand hygiene. Seabourn actually has sinks outside most of its public areas and yet so few people actually washed or sanitised their hands and there was no 'encouragement' to do so from staff.
My husband and I did use the sanitizer stations on our recent cruise onboard the Odyssey. I do like the fact that I don’t have to carry sanitizer around. There were no sinks in place that I am aware of. The fact that Seabourn has these stations is the ‘encouragement’. We’re all adults and shouldn’t have to be verbally reminded but we’re living in a world of self-entitlement now. Remember, you can lead a horse to water …

Oh puleeze...are you telling me her only alternatives are Regent, Crystal, Seabourn or Hapag??Her daughter would be bored to death.
I beg to differ. A Mediterranean cruise on Seabourn would be an ideal itinerary to celebrate a21st birthday 🥳

We are 26 days from our cruise. When should we get our documents? Or do we do this all on line now?
It’s all online now. You print out your own Embarkation and Luggage tags.

As I previously posted, we would never do a back to cruise in the Med again. We did it in May this year, no entertainment or very little during the day and it was not enjoyable. They are run as separate 7 day cruises and although we love the itinerary it was too disruptive especially with the large corporate groups on board and changeover day. We will now do only 10/12 or 14 day cruises where there is no changeover.
On my goodness! My mom and I cruised on Seabourn from 2004 to 2017 until she couldno longer cruise. Over that 13 year period we booked many 7-day back-to-back cruise. Some 14-day cruises but mostly 21-day cruises. We never had an issue booking specific suites. Have your TA call Seabourn.

So are you saying that all fish can be frozen and yet described as "fresh"?
As apposed to what... fish which sat around for days before it was frozen? 😉
That’s exactly what I’m saying.

Well, if the dish is "Fresh Alaskan Black Cod" then they actually need to have just purchased fresh cod. Whereas you could potentially get "Alaskan Black Cod" (defrosted from the freezer) upon request. 😀
Unless the Chef has been to Market and/or the ship has received provisions, the meat, fish, etc. is going to be “Fresh Frozen” meaning the food was quickly frozen while it was still fresh.

The Inspiration menu has one of my favorites: "Pan Seared Fresh Alaskan Black Cod", but I will only be boarding in a week. I hope it will be on the menu again
The ship’s menus are on a 3-4 week rotation. You can always ask for the dish to be prepared. Just speak with the maître d’. HTH

Having passed through Heathrow ~75 times in the past decade, I’m quite comfortable with the logistics and services. Though hotels abound in Copenhagen city proper we choose the Clarion at CPH airport for no reason beyond the expected jet lag upon arrival. Yes, the city is just 30 minutes further, but with 24 hours door to door from our home, the shortest path to a bed is desirable.Perhaps the most provocative advance decision we made was booking a full cruise slot in the retreat. We enjoy knowing we have a place that’s ours as we desire. I admit we took comments indicating deck loungers could be a challenge on Ovation with her extra deck of passengers seriously and didn’t want to quarrel over chairs (a Princess reference is perhaps helpful, we are devotees of their reserved Sanctuary always making it a priority to book, The Retreat looks to us like an extra special Sanctuary, and we were sold). We likewise noted negative views of the retreat concept. Still we came down in favor of making the booking and will share our impressions good or bad.So, here starts our story. Happy for any last minute suggestions from SB veterans and for any questions from other newbies like us.Jon
JonBe sure to book a Zodiac tour for the Trollfjord. Fabulous experience!

Booked on the Pursuit for February 2024. Kayaks run $200 per person, and submarines are $1,000 per person. That being said, depending on your Seabourn Club Level, the discounts do apply. HTH

Just got off the Odyssey. Staff will be retained until the ship is delivered. Each person has their own contract, meaning some have 3-4 months, others 6-9 months, etc. In the meantime, all crew we spoke to are planning to return to the Odyssey to fulfill their contractual obligations. If their contract expires closer to turnover, they will return on another Seabourn ship or pursue other avenues.
by the way, the service was outstanding, as it always is!!- 5

I’ve been cruising with Seabourn for many years. I’ve always sent my letter w/proof of CCL to Guest Services via Fax. OBC has always been waiting for us upon embarkation although I believe they now show up in your Seabourn account. HTH
