This happened to us 2 years ago...we arrived 2 days prior to cruise and our lost luggage arrived to the ship one day late...we purchased supplies in the port...when our luggage arrived it was damaged and had been obviously tampered with. The clothes were soaking wet as though dumped and several items were stolen from our bags..lesson learned. We only travel with carry on now.

Thank you. I will call. Our cruise is in January 2018

hi. How do I go about requesting a bottle of Campari for our cabin? It is not listed as an available beverage selection...also when are you able to start booking reservations for pinnacle dinner prior to departure? Thank you very much

You didn't say if you are in Fixed or Open seating. On the Fixed (upper) level there don't appear to be any 2-tops next to the windows: http://halfacts.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/VODM.pdf
We have fixed. Thanks

couple of questions regarding our flight arrival into Singapore. We land at midnight and obviously cannot check into ship until afternoon...does anyone have a hotel recommendation near the port? And crazy question but does anyone know if there is a liquor store near the port?

I had no idea you could request a preferred table. Does anyone have a recommendation for volendam table for 2 preferably looking out a window? TIA

On our scheduled 15 day cruise we will have 4 nights off the ship on excursions ...will they still charge for the SBP on the nights we are off the boat??
-
This is not an issue for us I'm just curious what others have done in this situation....we have always honored tips and paid extra cash to our room stewards and regular waiters...
-
im curious. We are taking a cruise to the far east and for almost half of our cruise we will be off the ship on overnight excursions...how do handle tipping for this? the automatic hotel service charge that is added at the end of the cruise? Part of me feels that it is not fair for me to pay a tip to cover days when I'm not even on the ship but I also don't want to be a Scrooge....

Thank you all for your input. This did help

Looking for opinions regarding business class on all Nippon versus air china?? I have to choose and know nothing about either

I usually book our cruises through United Cruises only for the miles we receive as our bonus. We usually receive enough for our free airfare. There might be a few perks thrown in such as pinnacle grill dinner or a wine package but really the important thing for us is getting our miles...
-
No. Never had it. I had no promos/ specials associated with my original booking
-
FYI not sure why but our cruise in January 2018 just decreased by 700$ per person...we originally booked without any promos/specials and still don't have any but at least I just saved us 1400$ total. Santa came early😀😀

That's crazy that you cannot get pancakes or a waffle at breakfast and even more ridiculous that you would have to pay for a hamburger. 😡😡😡

That is exactly why we purchased it...peace of mind and as a good backup...we have several exotic trips planned, Antarctica, Peru, Cambodia and I thought the price of EA+ too good to pass up....I did call them to verify that they will do medical evacuation from anywhere...my current main insurance does not evacuate from a "terrorist" involved country or a country with active political unrest

Does anyone have any experience with this insurance named emergency assistance plus??
-
Final payment completed...cannot believe it. We booked almost 2 years ago and now our cruise is just 3 months away...so exciting

We did the Baltic cruise 3 years ago on HAL. Best cruise ever!!!! We had full days exploring the ports. And we did it with both of us using a carry on and a large tote each...it really helped having free laundry.

We have a Far East cruise scheduled for January 2018. The explore 4 is available. Unfortunately this offer raises our fare 800$. Not worth it particularly since we only drink maybe 2 glasses of wine each daily.

2017 for sure. The list I saw only listed 2017 cruises plus not all ships. I'm hoping that wasn't a complete list as it didn't list the cruise we'll be booking.
Where did you see list?? We just booked an Asia itinerary for January 2018
-
What is that please??

Do you ever travel outside of cruises? I have to say, Peru is so much more than just Macchu Picchu. Would you consider doing a land trip there? It most likely is easier to get there from Texas (and fairly affordably) that SE Asia. That would be my deciding factor.
I think that is exactly what we are going to do. I was told the excursion price for Macchu Picchu was 4200$ per person which is insane. I found a nice land tour 12 days Peru and the Galapagos which is 3000$ pp. very affordable

Those cabins look smaller than other SB cabins on some of the other ships. We had one on the eurodam and I think oosterdam...they were huge compared to the above photo
