The results of the first referendum are out. My choice came second , but it was very close. We now have a face off between the present flag and the chosen one with another vote in March.
My pick is that it will be similar to when Australia voted for a Republic...very close , with the present flag being the winner.
We will have to wait till March to see what happens.

All it needs is to replace that ratty fern with a burning passport and a one way ticket out of there like the smart majority have already done.
PERFECT.

A couple more sea days. Now this cruise was heavy on sea days, about 20, but that was fine by us, one of these sea days was the Beautiful Mrs Gut's birthday.
Some may remember I was hoping to do chefs table or ultimate balcony for this, however Mrs G had other plans she wanted a burger under the stars, nso being a sensible man, that's what we did.
As previously indicated we just did our own thing in Darwin a visit to some of the bomb ruins and cyclone sites.
Hot and humid.
It was here that I made one ladies day, when DW asked a question and I responded bug...d if I know, as you do, lay was so excited because she had Ben told she may hear an Aussie say it, so at least I made someone happy. Wasn't Mrs GUT I can never make her happy.
Darwin was our daughter's birthday also the day she got her Uni results (which lead to the thread Guts Bragging).
Interesting that while walking along the jetty the water enclosed by the jetty was teaming with sharks, must have been at least 20.

For cruise passengers, Myki can be purchased at the Beacon Cove IGA supermarket beside the Port Melbourne tram stop across from Station Pier.
Visitor Packs may be available at a counter setup inside the cruise terminal. The 109 is the only route at Station Pier and takes you into the CBD. Take the 109 back from Collins St heading to Port Melbourne.
http://cruiseportwiki.com/Melbourne
I think the shuttle bus charges now. But all the trams once you get into the city are free. But beware they are crowded especially at lunchtimes.
.
What about if I want a Styki before I take the Myki?
Don't worry I'll Wiki it! :D

That is excellent news. Good riddance two down, two to go...
The smelly tired old rust buckets Sea & Sun deserve P&O ownership as well imo. ;)
That would make my day as long as they stick with the two Japanese gem class ships Diamond and Sapphire in rotation with the two Crown classed Emerald & Crown. :D

Should ad.
Since we are bragging after all.
She finished the Double degree and the Graduate Diploma in 5 years (the normal time for just the double degree) and worked full time, and had surgery and kept up a social life.
With a work ethic like that it's pretty clear who she takes after.
Her mum.

The Miller SS-36 "Sabre-six/hot-shot" 36in Stock Prod...
Absolutely indispensable for any cruise over 21 days, particularly useful around all elevators, in-laws, offspring on sugar highs or anyone who complains about anything within earshot of your holiday high etc.

G'day Mic
How was the latest trip?
You were sorely missed.
Harsh but fair, lol. :D
I just find it absolutely hilarious that usually the biggest complainers about bad coffee are those that drown it in milk and then either proceed to shovel upwards of 3,4,5 spoonful's of refined, raw, sugar or some variation of chemical additive like sweet & lo into their beverage but proclaim to all and sundry that they are a coffee lover and isn't this coffee bad! rotflmao!
No you are a lover of a coffee scented milkshake that you are sucking through a sugar cane straw or chemical laced bio product derivative you brain dead bint. :p
End of rant.

I thought the Kiwis used the gumboots for another reason..........something about stopping the sheep from getting away;) ;) ;)
.

Which is exactly why those NZ farmers glue one wellington boot on top of the other...
There is no getting away from it, we all have to admit,
Ewe just can't beat that Kiwi ingenuity! :D

There were 3 Aussie blokes and one Kiwi farmer in a king cab truck driving in New Zealand on Gypsy day.
The first man is an ecologist. The second man is a logician. The third man is a mathematician.
They all see a brown cow on the side of the road parallel to the truck.
The ecologist says, "Look! The cows in New Zealand are brown.".
The logician says, "No no. There is at least one cow in NZ that is brown."
The mathematician says, "You're both wrong. There is at least one cow in New Zealand of which one side appears to be brown."
The Kiwi farmer says "Ohhh look over there sex sheep!!!
