  1. We do not have the NA drink package, or any drink package for that matter. My cruise mate will have elite benefits, but we are not tied to only what's available for free during Elite HH. Tell me what are your favorite NA drinks, we prefer mocktails to NA wines or beer. But please share! What should we order? I def want something cute and refreshing in my hand at sailaway/sunset each day.

When you first board the ship you can go directly to your stateroom, pick up your SeaPass cards (no medallions like with princess), drop off your carry on(s) if any. You are asked not to stay in your stateroom. Usually they'll announce staterooms are ready around 1:00PM.

I haven't sailed Celeb in about a decade, so maybe this changed. When you say "go to your room and pick up the Sea Pass cards" does that mean they have them in your room now? You don't get them at the counter when you check in at the port? How do you get in the room?

@killarneylady As it seems you have done everything you should to have these sailing applied and you aren't  getting any response I think it would be appropriate to escalate to the head of the Captains Club program Andrea Shey ashey@celebrity.com

Thanks for this info. I've had good luck getting timey responses from direct email addresses like this in the past. I'll try for my issue as well.

For those who don’t have a drink package, the bloody Mary’s and Bellini’s and sparkling wine are a nice breakfast treat.

And espresso style coffee too correct?

  5. Can anyone help  me figure out how to start checking in for a child on my reservation? I remember when I signed in the first time after booking my cruise it asked if I wanted to link my child's profile too to check in for them. I cannot figure out where to do it in the app.

Things that make you go...."Hmmmm." I'm no expert on the matter (nor have I ever played one on TV) but that never stops me from offering my two cents worth. I wonder if a weak battery could result in a weak signal? On the final day of our 14-day cruise, my travel buddy's medallion battery died that afternoon before departure. We were told that guest services would change the battery. You know how long the line at guest services was on the final day, right? When we eventually got to the front of the line, they suggested it was a glitch and should eventually start working. 🤣  Look, I get it.  Perhaps not their top priority on the last day of the cruise to be fussing with batteries. But it seems to be the party line response when it comes to medallion problems. "It will correct itself." For sure....when pigs fly. Next time, we'll know to ask for the plastic card as a replacement option.

I thought the medallions were using RFID technology? No actual battery, similar to a pet microchip? Sounds expensive to have so many batteries, when all they are really doing is replacing a swipe card. With all the cutbacks I find it hard to believe all the medallions have batteries in them. RFID chips are cheap. I used to work for Lululemon. Every single tag on every item in the store had an rfid chip in the tag for inventory purposes.

Anyway, they should have just issued you a new one! Or given you a swipe card for the last night.

I just tested this out now, and after a few seconds of the waiting for the "processing" spinning wheel to quit spinning, instead of continuing to wait, I clicked on "Cruise Deals" at the top of the screen which then went directly to the My Account page with all of my upcoming cruises.  I can't tell you if the timing of being able to access it was sheer coincidence or not, I'm just trying to share what has worked for me several times over the past few days.  Hope you're able to get into your online account soon!  🤞

This kind of worked for me. It did go to the "cruise deals" page and loaded correctly, however when I clicked oto my acct, it was still on mu husband's page, even though I already signed out.

  8. In my account, on the Payments and Credits page, if I scroll down to Credits it shows my husband and I both have $50 OBC each. I checked his acct and his military benefit is on his profile. I also noticed that under the Credits chart it says "Please note that purchased and gifted Onboard Credits for this booking will be available onboard even though they are not visible on this list."

Does that mean the military benefit is a gifted OBC and will not show on our invoice? Wondering if I need to call them tomorrow. My profile shows $50 OBC, so does my husband's. I am not a veteran. He should have $100OBC since we have a 7 nt cruise upcoming. So total $200 correct?

If you book an All Included fare which has the Classic  beverage  package included then the gratuity is included included for all beverages covered by the Classic pkg.  if you order a drink above the limit of the Classic package  ($10) you pay the difference in price plus the 20% gratuity on the difference

That makes sense, but if I bought cruise fare only, then a drink package then I pay the tips at the end?

  10. I haven't sailed celebrity in about a decade. So even if you have a drink package you still have to pay additional tip? I don't recall having any extra charges to our folio last time I sailed. Seems like that's a lot of money to pay for the drink package then have to pay tips. My comment isn't about not wanting to pay tips, but I thought if you got a package everything should be included?

I'll be on my first Celebrity cruise aboard the Silhouette from Port Everglades. Even though it's my first Celebrity cruise I have been granted Elite status due to my Diamond status on Royal. Just wondering if Celebrity provides priority boarding for this level without a suite booking?

Did you have to call them to get your elite status or did it switch over automatically? My cruise mate is the same as you, diamond on royal, first cruise with x. She linked her crown and anchor number with her captains club number in the celebrity app but her status still says preview. Just wondering your experience and should we call it in or will or fix itself?

I would advise you to check your

Your minutes for being Elite are Premium minutes.  You don't have to use them up before utilizing your Plan.  In fact, it may be wise to hold on to your Premium minutes if you have purchased a Basic Plan as there is more that you can do with a Premium Plan.  Each time you log in, you will be asked which of the options you wish to utilize.  I saved my Premium minutes for video such as FaceTime as this app won't work on the Basic Plan.

It still says Preview. I just had her check.

We bought the wifi pkg but I thought you could no longer buy basic wifi without buying the AI pkg? We bought cruise only, no add ons, so I suppose it's the premium, correct?

I would definitely pick Sky Reef. We had the most beautiful experience snorkeling there. There were so MANY beautiful different colored sea fans there and I had never witnessed anything like it. We loved it there.  You can find pictures on my blog HERE of the Sky Reef so you can see what we were able to see there. Simply gorgeous.

I know a lot of people think the Money Bar has excellent snorkeling, but when we went, I didn't find it as impressive as I (personally) expected. HERE is my review with pictures of the Money Bar.

What kind of camera do you use to get those great close up pics?

The only reason to contact Captains Club is if your Celebrity account/set sail pass isn't saying Elite already.  (And a call isn't always necessary as you can add captains club and crown & anchor numbers directly to your Celebrity and RCCL profiles online.)

Is it sometimes automatic? Or do you have to always call it in? She has already linked her C&A with her CC on both Royal and X apps.

I've emailed them, since our cruise isn't until Sept, I know they take a while to reply. I also read that you can get them to fix it at the port when they print out your sea pass card, but I would prefer it be done ahead of time so she/we will have our elite invites and everything in our cabin on the first day. We'll call it in once it gets closer and if they haven't done it already.

  15. Hi all

I'm traveling with a friend who is Diamond on Royal. I understand her status will be matched on X and will get 90 mins free Wifi. I just bought a wifi pkg under my name to take advantage of the 40% sale, but will she still get the free mins for her? I know we can "share" the pkg if only one device is logged on at a time, but if she gets her free mins that means we can be on at the same time, for at least 90 mins, correct?

I have looked at my original post and don't see the confusion.

I clearly put 1 bag of  laundry (wash and fold) each. I. e. You get 1 and your wife gets 1, total 2 bags.

If/when you reach Elite+ you each get 2 bags total 4 bags.

Yes you can put his and hers in the same bag.

Also if you write on the order "please return items on hangers, thank you" the laundry will be as good as if it were pressed. Don't forget the "please and thank you" as they don't have to do it.

    Elite+ also gives you:

more free internet time up from 90 minutes each to 240 minutes each.

    Free lattes/capachinos etc.

At which point, if you drink little or no alcohol, Cruise Only rates become a very attractive option.

Most of the time I choose cruise only rate as now Elite plus the 240 minutes wifi are sufficient.  I also like the specialty teas so can try as many as I want on my next cruise.  Most of the time book a balcony and always get some nice upgrades either free or very little more.  Last year booked inside as balconies over my budget but when I got on the ship they upgraded me to a balcony mid ship on higher deck. Nice surprise!!

The elite wifi 90 mins is that going to be on the premium pkg or does it not really  matter now with starlink? My cabin mate is elite so we will be those minutes, I was going to buy the wifi pkg right now since it's 40% off at $19.99/day. Maybe I won't buy it since we can use my friend's? I just need/want to check in with the hubby and kid just in case.

I also have not been on Celebrity in about 10 yrs. I understand using the app I can communicate/text my cabin mate without any wifi pkg? Is that correct?

I am going on the same cruise,Oct 22 on Eclipse. My TA put a hold on a Veranda guarantee on June 20.I hadn’t even given payment and they assigned me a cabin.I also had friends booking and their cabin wasn’t assigned.I was not happy with cabin as it was all the way in front on deck 6,above theatre.I knew Princess let you change cabins as long as it is in the same category you are assigned. Not been on Celebrity in a long time so didn’t know their policy.I was able to change to cabin of my choice and she got cabins for friends two doors awayThere were a lot of cabins available last week.Looked today and there was only one cabin left.Prices were great so I guess they are filling the ship. There are no insides available.

Out of curiousity I checked the current price for my cruise and it went down a bit. I looked up their price match policy (they call it best price I guess) and I filled out the form. While technically I am out of the 48 hr period but just barely. I said I would be happy with OBC. I hope they honor that. I should not have looked at the prices. The fares kept going up and up with insides selling out, but I couldn't book sooner as my cabinmate needed to get her days ok'd by her boss. We booked as soon as she got the ok and now Concierge is cheaper than our balc gty.

We have used a big box TA for over a decade now.  Being the social secretary for DH and me, I have lots of experience with TA either reaching out to me immediately about changes X has instituted since booking or acting immediately up my "please-fix-this-issue-now" phone call.  TA always reacts with a smile and  lots of patience; opposite to me, thank goodness! 🙂

I have no idea why I didn't use my usual online TA. They were great with my last three I booked with them.

  19. I got help after about 50 mins. The agent was nice and got it corrected very quickly, less than a minute. I told him I did a mock booking and the balance due amount was the exact same amount as the "senior resident rate" promo. He said the resident state fell off the booking, and that was the reason. However FL residents (my cabin mate) usually get a minimal discount, not $2570 between two people.

He was able to fix it and sent me a confirmation email within seconds.

However, they need to fix this one their end so they stop giving people heart attacks!

  20. This exact thing happened to me today! I'm on hold with them right now. I also got on chat too to see if they could help. Dont' bother with chat. they just told me to call their service dept and they can fix it. But the chat agent did use the word "glitch".

I paid in full today, less than 90 days out. Now showing a balance of $2570.

I've been on hold for about 20 mins. Est time was 37. It is Sat though.

I agree this "glitch" should have been long fixed. I was about to call my credit card company and file a dispute. This gave me a panic attack when I saw the email and the invoice!

When is your cruise?  Are you working with a travel agent?

My travel agent will often use "Mr. TBD" as the second passenger.  Could you do that for a third passenger to hold the space?

If not, you will need a lot of paper work to show the name changes.  Do you have the time?

Cruise is Jan 2024. I was going to contact princess but they were already closed. I can contact them tomorrow but wanted to jump on here and see if anybody already knew of hand.
