  1. You are correct. I will be watching it like a hawk every day.
  2. They said they refunded me, but it hasn't hit my credit card yet, so I'm living on a lot of trust right now. The bungalows are sold out, not even a waitlist is available. I was told my parents can wait for a bungalow to come available to purchase on their booking number but they would need to check every day. Or, I guess I would need to check every day. It is what it is. They can't make an extra bungalow magically come into existence. I was more upset they messed with my account and took action without notifying me.
  3. Hindsight is 20/20. Plus, that rule wasn't mentioned on the page so I figured it would be OK since they took my money. All it says is book per bungalow and that a bungalow holds 4 people.
  4. Hello friends. Please learn from my experience. My parents and my family are going on a cruise later this year that will go to Princess Cays for a multi-generational cruise. There are 8 people, including 3 kids, of us total split between 2 cabins (scary, I know!). One of our stops will be at Princess Cays. Having been there before, we definitely wanted to book 2 private bungalows since their website says it can only fit 4 people (or six for an extra $50) I booked two on my booking number in order to follow Princess occupancy rules as my parents are not good on computers and wouldn't be able to do it on their booking number without a lot of frustration involved. So far so good. Showing my kids youtube videos of the cruise ship we will go on to get them excited, I looked at my app to check and make sure everything was still good. SPOILER: it was not good! One of my bungalows was missing! Spent an hour on the phone with Princess only to find out there is a rule saying only one bunglow can be placed on one booking number. This was not listed anywhere on the excursions page. Long story short, they took my bungalow without letting me know about it and the bungalows are now sold out for our voyage. I want to say the Princess customer service people working on the weekend are very good people and they tried very hard to help me. They understood and apologized a million times for an unfortunate situation. Even though I was upset, they handled me with respect and professionalism. I greatly appreciate all their help and am impressed with them even though they took my bungalow. So there you have it. The bungalows are sold 1 per booking number. By the way, does anyone know where I can buy beach bags big enough to hide two kids? Asking for a friend.
  5. Magnetic hooks, power strips, over the door shoe holder to hold things like brushes and other things. We always bring a collapsible laundry hamper to collect the dirty clothes and haul them to the laundry. If you use the onboard laundry then you won't be packing nearly as many clothes. I'd completely unpack and put all clothes in the provided drawers and closets to put the suitcases away. The ship provides shower gel and shampoo to save space in the tub. A bathroom hanging organizer for inside bathroom to hold everyone's bathroom stuff. Get another one for the boys to take to the gym showers. If you have a balcony, get a bungee cord and some clips to use as an outdoor 'clothes hanger' for drying bathing suits. That might be a bit trashy, but with 4 adults in such a tiny space, it will be nice to get the wet clothes outside and not have them fly off into the ocean. They have a clothes line inside the bathroom but you can't use the shower then. Also, to save your sanity, get everyone ear plugs and eye masks so no one is keeping anyone else awake. We did two weeks with my parents and my younger sibling several years ago but all adults and let me tell you, the amount of snoring my brother and dad did would have had me so sleep deprived I would have started throwing them off the ship if I didn't have my ear plugs.
  6. I encountered a chair hog in the Enclave who left her romance novel on one of the highly coveted heated lounge chairs. Like, you cant reserve one of the heated loungers with word porn. There are only two on the entire flippin ship and you think typed out throbbing desire is going to keep me from laying down for a nap?! The lady came back and saw me in 'her space' and threw a fit in the most relaxing place on the sea which totally killed the vibe but it was worth it because, you know, I had a nap.
  7. Short answer: yes long answer: no but yes It will make the experience that much more amazing with your own access outside to see the spectacular views. Very easy access and no fighting with others to get the sights you paid lots of $$$$ to see. My first voyage to Alaska was on an ocean view cabin and while it was doable, it sucked having to fight people on deck and look over heads 5 rows deep from the railing to look at Glacier Bay. If money is tight, you don't need a balcony but if you can swing it then definitely yes.
  8. My mom and her sister are on this cruise. If you see them, tell them WE ARE STILL VERY SORE AT THEM FOR LEAVING US BEHIND!
  9. On a long voyage such as yours there will probably be very few if any kids. I took my 3 then 15 month old kids on a 14 day voyage and there were a handful of other kids onboard. they weren't potty trained so we had to stay in the kids club with them. They loved it. The crew was phenomenal. We took them to the main dining room once and kept to the buffet after that. I think if your kid was the only one onboard, he will definitely become ship famous with both crew and other passengers. They're six now and we are taking them to Alaska. I hope they still love it so we can continue to cruise, however with the prices the way they're going its gonna be a bit rough.
