I think this particular forum software is set up this way. I have seen the same behaviors on some other forums. VBULLETIN always shows the full time stamp whIle many others dont.

I don't think there are any real tricks. I have a custom content stream that presents the content I follow and have not read, presented oldest first. I bookmarked that page with a shortcut on my home screen. After reading a post I use the browser back function to return to this list which is updated each time I do. This gradually reduces the list until I'm caught up.
I have made this content stream my default stream so I can always go to the top of the page (tap cc banner menu button twice) and tap the newspaper button (3rd from the right of the blue page toolbar).
I also peruse the All Activity stream to see if there is anything new that interests me. To get there I tap the page banner menu button (rightmost icon on blue page toolbar), then Activity followed by All Activity.
@POA1 posted a helpful howto on creating custom streams (click the missing button (box) in the top left of the post below to open a new tab at that post). Scroll down to see screen grabs for mobile users.
Yep, I already got a simple custom activity stream. However to make one that is really good for my needs I will have to do that on my laptop from work under my employers watchful eyes. On my mobile every maneuver has a latency of at least 15 seconds and it takes way too long.
Another problem is even after i have the stream made it won't be as easily accessible as I'd like. Because for some reason the forum menu containing the newspaper icon doesn't show when I use my mobile device in portrait.
Little problems like that add up to my rather unfavorable user experience on a 2 year old device. On the laptop it works pretty well, I will give them that.
I do hope the CC gods will change their mind about the app.

I could swear we used to be able to change the custom title. Alas. Back to cool cruiser. 😎

I agree that the site is not speedy on mobile. But I have found myself using a mobile much more often than I ever did on the old site.
How do you manage that? I am all ears for good tricks. 😎

Might be new but don't know about improved. The new site has formatting issues when used on mobile devices and is noticeably slower.
The app was significantly better for mobile users.

It's a matter of knowing what it was like and what it could be.

There will also be parking expense, but otherwise a great plan.

Good for you! That cruise price has been creeping up for a few months now. Never a reduction.
-
It MAY be that you have access to the exact same prices but just aren't receiving emails. Try doing a mock booking online to compare what pricing you get vs. what they get.
That's what I am thinking. Those big flashy ads rarely accompany a true good deal.

Freeport can be quite interesting if you are into industrial ports like I am. There is a great beach called gold rock that is very nice.
Princess Cay is a standard cruise company made private beach but not as nice as half moon key.
I prefer Freeport

Capital one. I have been with them since years before they were called capital one.

So long as my beer is safe

It doesn't work like that nowadays but years ago I did many a 3-day 4-day 3-day b2b2b to reach diamond.
To be honest most 7 day cruises have the same boring ports anyway after you have done a few. If you want less visted ports you have to go longer than a week.

if this lasts for more than four hours, consult a physician:D
lmao :D

They could be guarantees waiting to be assigned so actual empty cabins may not be as many as appears.

It does sound like a pretty miserable cruise. If you feel your compensation is inadequate then it is for you.
Can't say I am too impressed with Royal's attitude these days.
-
Royal is known for maintaining their older ships well. How does Celebrity maintain their older ships compared to Royal?

What is the best way to find solo deals on Royal ships?
-
Does anyone know the best way to check for solo prices?

I am not a Disney fan. In fact, I kind of dislike Disney. So no Disney cruise for me. No brainer.
But if you like Disney and you like cruising, I think you owe it to yourself to give DCL a try. Most reviews are very positive.

Feb is too early for spring break mass exodus. I think you are ok.
No suit needed.
-
I also found the steak on Royal pretty lousy. Hope you have better luck.
-
Just had my first NCL suite recently. Didn't use the butler or concierge. Didn't leave anything extra.

Microsoft tablets are cheaper than iPads are they?
Anyway, it's a nice deal that Royal is providing the crew tablets.
Any chance of getting a mobile app back?

Makes me wonder if the incompatibility might have anything to do with the login problem.
