  1. We recently drove round trip Ormond Beach Florida-Annapolis Maryland. Look into taking route 17 around dc. The southern end is in Virginia, just north of Richmond. Northern end is around Annapolis and you can get back on 95. Also, NO MATTER WHAT, take 295 around Richmond. There are signs telling how long 295 and 95 will take, often not much of a difference. It’s not the time saved, it’s the absolute horror of 95 thru Richmond. It was pure terror! Winding, skinny lanes, construction, a lot of merging traffic. It was awful! 295 was a nice easy road!

Have a safe trip and congratulations on your daughters wedding!

  2. We are driving from Central Jersey to Naples in April for our daughters wedding. We have to transport the wedding gown, my gown and the maid of honors gown (our other daughter). We will drive straight through to Newport Richey (16 hours) and stop for the night at my moms. I am so afraid to stop at a Hotel and have to take the wedding gown out of the car....too many what if's! We will make the 3 1/2 drive to Naples the next day Wednesday...relax for 3 days have the wedding on Saturday, Then drive over to Miami on Sunday for the night and head to the Port on Monday for a 4 night cruise on the Enchantment...with the our daughter the Bride & son in law the Groom, our older daughter, son in law and 7 month old grandson, and our best friends from California!

I'm sure we won't be as excited when we get off the ship on Friday morning and we are the only ones driving back while the others fly home and the bride & groom head out for a week in Cancun but it will all be worth it....we will be done paying for WEDDINGS!!

We have decided to leave here about 3:00 am on that Tuesday morning to HOPEFULLY avoid all the crazy traffic in the DC area! We shall see how that plan works out!

  3. Lois, I am doing very well, thank you! We moved from Texas to NJ exactly 1 year ago, to be near our daughters. Since then our youngest daughter accepted a job transfer to Chicago....which was a great career move for her. She is getting married in Naples, Florida next April. Our oldest daughter who was married in 2014 bought their first home last year and now we are awaiting the birth of our FIRST grandchild...a BOY! He is due to arrive in 5 weeks! Life is GOOD!

  4. Yes, many people have reported a 3rd menu.

The key to DDChoice is to make any reservation you can get even if you do not like the time. That puts you in the line that has reservations. You just give the host your name/cabin number and by pass the no reservation line. A quirk in there system, but it works..........make reservations for everything! Bring a jacket for The Grande and you can enjoy lobster every night! WE had lobster 5 nights out out 12 and did like the change of scenery in the restaurants other every other night.

Very sad to see DD go. Have a great cruise. :)

I know when dining at The Grande the men have to wear a jacket but...how fancy does the woman need to be? I would love to dine more than 2 times just didn't want to bring that many formal outfits! Is a dress or dressy slacks & blouse work?

  5. Yesterday I received a tankini top and a 1 piece bathing suite for $27.00 from swimsuitsforall. I LOVE them both. These are my 3rd & 4th bathing suits from them!

    Great quality for great prices!

I am also LONG torso and the 1 piece fits perfect. I also bought a swim dress earlier this year and that fit's great too!
