1.

I own 5 pairs of Vionic/Orthaheel shoes. I do not have any feet issues, but find these to be my most comfortable shoes i always have a pair on my feet.

  2. I love palazzo pants and a nice top as formal wear.

My set for my next cruise is similar to this:

    2015-Modern-Black-Plus-Size-Mother-of-the-Bride-font-b-Pant-b-font-font-b.jpg

I just have the previous year's version from the same store. Mine is more a jacket and I have either a silvery or a black shimmery tank to wear with.

Where did you purchase it? It is gorgeous!

  3. I agree, I would move for the extra benefits of a JS. However, if you are going someplace where the view is to die for....maybe not. But absent that - I personally would switch.

Lisa, we are cruising to the Caribbean again...we have done this route many times. We just love to sit out on the balcony for the "sound" not so much the view!

Now if only my TA would let me know if we could switch...our cruise is in September!

  4. If you stand at the railing of your D1, you will be at the railing at the back of the ship. The JS cabins on deck 6 and deck seven are behind a large gray open space area that you have no access to, so when you are at your railing you are behind that area.

Look at the aft balcony selector in the link. Look at the balcony pictures, you will see what I am trying to explain. The for deck 6 balcony pictures really explain it, look at the lady in the robe.

I have seen these before...I think we actually stayed in one on Deck 6...I was just curious if other people would switch to a JS for less money with less of a view.

Thank you for the info....and rattling my memory! ;)

  5. Did I read this correctly - they have a JS AFT for less that a regular AFT? I would switch for sure. Why not?

YES you are correct...but it does say the view is obstructed....just checking if that is a BIG deal. I already called my TA and she is checking on it!

  6. We have an AFT Balcony Cabin #1692 booked on the Navigator. RCCL just opened up AFT JS Cabins on Decks 6 & 7...for a few dollars LESS than what I booked the D1 for....would you switch even though it says obstructed view for all the available AFT JS's?

    Thanks!

  7. I plan on proposing to my girlfriend during our upcoming 7-day cruise in September. This will be the first cruise for both of us and we really don't know what to expect. I read an older thread about proposal ideas for this same ship but I've been told that this ship has been completely renovated since then. Are there any new features on this specific ship that would be good for a proposal? I do plan on popping the question on either the first day of departure or the following day. I'm not really interested in going on a stage at the theater but I don't mind a public setting (and she wouldn't either) if that makes sense lol. Any information would be greatly appreciated!

Which week will you be on the Navigator? We will be on 9/6...I would love to be there to take pictures for you!

  8. We returned Saturday from the Family Cruise and happy to say it was delightful!:)

Weather was perfect - 85 and sunny every day. Lots of happy memories...and about 500 photos to go through...and very few to delete:rolleyes:

I have never purchased a dress in the shops onboard...until now! There was a dress in the window and my size was available! I wore it for a Formal Night - not as formal as the cocktail dress on my spreadsheet, but it fit without any alterations, so a no brainer...the photo makes it look a little longer than it is??? and you can't see the detail very well...but this one will go on Future Cruises.

sunnydaygirl: Thanks for sharing your clothes photos. Even small, they look very cruise worthy! I use snapfish and simply copy and paste here.

BTW: Congrats on losing the pounds! Let that be incentive to continue.

I absolutely LOVE the colors in the dress....nothing better than a black dress with vibrant colors! What a great purchase!

  9. I just started following this thread. So much fun!

Now, for my share with you, in case anyone is interested, or looking for some cute cruise dresses at a very reasonalbe price, Old Navy has a really good sale right now! Now, I am typically NOT an Old Navy fan as I just do not think their clothes are typically well made, but I just picked up some of the cutest casual dresses and they are so well made. I like comfort, and these fit the bill. All of them will pack nice for my Dec. cruise!

This is a nice weight, and hides flaws. I got it in the pink stripe: http://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=91340&vid=1&pid=344578002

This is seriously darling, and it's lined! The embroidery is hard to see but it is so cute! http://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=91340&vid=1&pid=344578002

I got the canteloupe stripe, but the blue version looks cute too. In fact, the blue stripe seems very "cruisey" to me! The hem detail is sweet with the stripes running opposite from the rest of the dress. http://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=91340&vid=1&pid=344579012

I think all of these will look nice with some white sandals!

I LOVE Old Navy dresses! I am 6'1" and only order TALL maxi dresses.....I own 8...Yes I am a tad obsessive with them. They are the longest dresses I have ever owned...some of them I have to wear with heals!

They wash up beautifully. I wash them in cold water and toss them in the dryer for about 8 minutes then take them out and hang them to dry! No ironing and comes out perfect ever tome!

  10.
There are a lot of things to blame BoA for, but, this is not one of them. This is a merchant problem. Merchant gets compromised, BoA has to issue new cards.
You are absolutely correct....that's exactly what they told me on the phone.
I hear that the drink packages are going on sale buy one get one free starting June 15th but you need to buy it before you sail. It is going to be a limited offer, so OBC would not work for that. We are sailing in August and some of our friends sailing with us got emails about it coming up. Others got emails that if you bought a drink package you can get a free extra soda package to share, but both seem to have to be purchased before sailing. Just what we are hearing.
Hmmmm this is definitely something to think about! Well worth BOGO....except it would actually be free if I can use OBC from points!!
  11.
As long as your purchase the drink package onboard yes you can use the OBC for that and also tips as long as you do not hav eMTD and have to pay them in advance
Great....we do not have MTD, so this should work out well for us!

    Thank You!
  12. I am DONE with this card. Just received an email and a phone call today to say they (BofA) are sending us another new card, due to a possible compromise on my account. This is the 3rd time in 12 months. Now I have to call all the merchants(8) that I have direct pay set up with....quite the PITA!!
With that being said we need to use all 150,000 points on our cruise in September.
After reading here I am thinking the best thing for me to do is put it ALL on my account for OBC.
Can I pay for 2 drink packages & gratuities?

Final payment is due on the 23rd.

Any other suggestions for the best way to use all of our points and then cancel this card?
  13. FamilyMooner: Thanks for posting Outfits Photos! I, too, like that you paired accessories with each one. The colors and patterns are perfect!

Here's a photo of the dress DH found for me in Hamilton, Bermuda. Luckily, the accessories I had for another LBD worked with this one:)

    232323232%7Ffp93232%3Euqcshlukaxroqdfv34266%3Enu%3D3335%3E%3A64%3E566%3EWSNRCG%3D3733873364335nu0mrj

The other Bermuda purchase is in a photo, but snapfish (where my photos are stored) isn't opening...will try again tomorrow...

What a gorgeous dress! You look fabulous!
