You can use it for booking excursions, but unfortunately you cannot use it to book excursions until you are on board.

Just out of interest, what sort of requests do people make?
Things like pillow preferences, empty the mini fridge, spa reservations, and for the high-level suites, alcohol selections.
-
Yes, it's called The Sanctuary.
Little bit of info here:

There isn't much in the way of restaurants within walking distance around the Doubletree. Which is why I've cancelled the DT twice. This isn't really an answer, but do consider the Crowne Plaza when you're looking at San Pedro hotels. There are a couple of bars and restaurants within walking distance there, plus the cruise port is just a block or two away (along with the USS Iowa museum). The CP also offers a shuttle to the port.

Travelers checks are old school! The bank, if they issue them anymore, is where you pay your fees!
Well, when the OP doesn't want to carry cash, and doesn't want to pay the ATM fees, and presumably does not want to pay the 3% fee to charge cash to their onboard account, tell me, what other option is there?

Hi,
My friend and I will spend some time (and hopefully make a little money) at the casino in the evenings. However, I am not looking forward to carrying cash or paying for the ATM fees. Will the cruise line cash a Cashier's check?
Thanks in advance.
This is precisely what Traveler's Checks are for.

Also, Any/all CANS of soda(pop) will be charged, so order "fountain soda." (...some folks have experienced some exceptions to this)
The notable exception to this is ordering soda where the gun/fountain is not available. They will (should) crack a can and pour it into a cup.

As they should. :'):halo: (I sure hope everyone realizes that I am trying to be humorous. These threads get too serious sometimes).
Humorous? Keep trying. Haven/Steerage jokes are old and tired.

And here we go again...

DW and I sail Princess and NCL regularly. We pick a cruise based on destination, cabin availability, price, and embark port. The cruise line is the last consideration. For our needs, both are pretty equal in their offerings, with the notable exception of embark port -- San Francisco is right across the bay for us.

Offtopic: wow, this must be your longest post ever in your constant 10.000+ "Thank you" spamming run. :o But.. actually nice to see something that contributes to a thread! :)(y)
Thank you for your review.

Ok, now that you guys mention it, I think I heard that previously.
Shame NCL doesn't take the page down.
Sorry OP.
-
What is totally irrelevant in my post??
Nothing.
But don't bother asking that poster -- they never admit when they're wrong.
-
I don't think they do a discount by age (have you looked at the average age of cruise passengers).
But they do have an AARP discount... I'm not there yet, so I'm unfamiliar with the ins and outs...
-
They are electric according to NCL's promotional materials.

Yes please, since Hillary lost :)
Only the truly "gifted" could find a political angle in a thread about cruise ship drink packages.
Take a break.

Do you want rumors and misinformation? Because this thread is how you get rumors and misinformation.
-
I'm guessing that they wouldn't want "suite" guests complaining about noise.
You would be guessing wrong. It's not a consideration.
Just spend a week in a forward PH, deck 9 on Jewel.... you'll see ... er, hear.

When flying Southwest I do it all of the time. I use it for back up when DW and I fly together. We have never tried to use one phone with both passes when going through TSA so I don't know if they will accept that. Southwest will when boarding.
I have used one phone for two boarding passes at TSA a couple of times in OAK. I save them to Photos rather than try to fumble with the app. They didn't have a problem with it there.

Fuddy-duddys. Good lord.
Nice try, OP... good idea, wrong audience.
-
Has never bothered me. Seems as if you are over reacting to nothing.
DON
The manual crank engine didn't bother anybody either, until a better way came along.
Why is it a problem for folks to discuss this? Is it really over-reacting? Or maybe just reacting and discussing?

I'd rather fill out as much stuff ahead of time online and be done with it than have to deal with it when I'm on vacation. My brain tends to go into relaxation mode once I'm on the ship and I'd much rather just veg.
It should be an easy thing to add to the Personalizer. Just make one more tab. If you don't fill it out, do so onboard. If you have a change, fill out a new form onboard. Simple. Then those of us that prefer online forms don't have to deal with it when we're more interested in thinking about cruising, not leaving. ;)
Exactly.
I'm not sure why this is a one-or-the-other proposition.
Doesn't matter anyway. OP's idea is a good one, but it may as well be a fart in the wind as far as Princess is concerned. Their technological advances have more to do with tracking your every movement on the ship. No IT budget for website and customer-facing process improvements.
How strict are they with age on kids programs?

But don't let that stop you.
