We are cruising on Feb. 4, 2017 on the Carnival Conquest and staying at the Courtyard the day prior to our cruise. We are wondering if Uber would be the best mode of transportation to the hotel and back to the port?
Thanks,

Cruised on the dream March 2015. Expect kids kids and more kids. Most running wild with little parent supervision. Running in the halls late at night. The wait time increases and you will have rude kids cutting line etc. wish I could offer more positive comments but just not as good a time to cruise😟.

We had an easy disembarkation. We had a balance on our on board account, and this was refunded to a new Carnival gift card. I'm made lists about what I liked and didn't like about our cruise.

That's all folks! Thanks for reading and happy cruising![/quote
We cruised on Fantasy in early December and very much enjoyed it. I loved Mikey the cruise director and his high/fun energy. Let me say I am a 62 yof. I am platinum on Carnival and Mikey is my favorite CD so far.

We cruised the week before and had a great time. So enjoyed Mikey the CD. We were off the ship by 8:30 am. We did self assist with no issues.

The Red Fish Grill on Bourbon is wonderfully delicious! We always head there as our first choice.

I read on the CC forum there is a bus you can take to the Grand Lucayan for $1.25 each way. Can anyone provide current information about where you catch this bus, bus #, safety etc.?

Snippy is her middle name. And she won't see your reply, never returns to a thread after posting:D
I second recommendations of: Hemingway House, Little White House, Mel Fisher's. Of course it's obligatory to walk Duval for some dining/drinking/shopping:) Enjoy Key West!!!!!
Thanks! I appreciate your recommendations. As for the other poster he/she not worth another comment!

Thanks to all! I appreciate the tips.

Get a guidebook on Key West...decide what's important to YOU! You don't have to do and see everything, if some things aren't of interest!
Lots of folks want a photo at the southernmost point....some want to see Hemingway's house and cats.. some want Key Lime pie...some want to bar hop...some want to shop! Figure out WHAT, and we can help with HOW!
Just looking for suggestions on what things others have enjoyed! No need to be SNIPPY. Move on if you have nothing to add.
Thanks

Seems from everything I have read on CC walking/trolley tour are the ways to see Key West.
Where does the Carnival Dream dock? How close to the dock is the location to catch the Cityview Trolley? What are do not miss things to do in Keywest? TIA!

I know the Drinks On Us card is given after you reach 1,500 points; but I thought I read somewhere that if you reached 5,000 points on your previous cruise, all you had to do was ask for the DOU card at the beginning of your next cruise without having to reach 1,500 points again. Can anyone confirm this or have any advice?
I was told the same. I cruise on Sunshine in 10 days and will ask for mine and let you know,

I sailed the March 15, 2015 cruise on the Dream. We had an aft extended balcony on the 9th deck. The only time I noticed the heat was late afternoon while trying to get ready for early seating dinner, it was very hot in the room. Almost impossible to put on makeup. I can't imagine how difficult it would be in summer months. We are not complainers just normally go with it, but it was definitely hot in late afternoon.

You will love aft! Quiet and calm in the back of the ship! You do have a lot of walking but that is to most things anyway. I don't know if I would like the low aft's because we always try to get an aft that is one deck lower than lido. it is very easy to go up for food, drink or ice cream. We have been on at least 5 ships in an aft balcony and the only one we had any issue with was the Dream. It was hot getting ready for dinner. We weren't uncomfortable sleeping but we traveled in March and I would think it would be very uncomfortable in the hot months.
Go for it I don't think you will be sorry.

My granddaughter Ella loves Camp Carnival. She is now 5 but has been attending Camp Carnival since she was 3. She loves all the activities and the caregivers have been so good on both the Dream and Legend.

We were offered the same price on our March Dream cruise. We had an aft balcony and they offered us a suite for $500 more. I felt it was to high. If it was a couple hundred dollars less then I would have said yes. Have to feel like I am getting a bargain! lol
Congratulations on your marriage!

I am new to the casino offer. My cabin is booked through the casino offer for the first time so are the drinks gifts, party etc included? We are sailing out of San Juan in a couple of weeks.

We used them in Belize to do a private tour of Ho Chan,Caye Caulker, and Rays and Nurse Sharks with local tour group Splash Wave Tours. They were great! We were treated great by the crew who spotted dolphins on our way out and back to Belize City. We spent time viewing them and the children were so thrilled to see a baby dolphin. We also fed the Tarpin in a small fishing village while stopping to pick up bait. Jose our guide went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time! Would highly recommend both companies.

Thank you! Sounds like a plan. Were there restaurants close to the Courtyard?
