  1. I watched the video again of the 3D animated Virtual Tour of the Vista and it looks like the Red Frog Pub has outside seating in one overhang. Also the Cherry on Top store looks like they might also have out side seating in one of these locations. I will miss their hot tubs on this deck if they truly don't have them here like they do on the Breeze, Magic and Dream.

Vista will not have those hot tubs like the dream class. I think one reason is they now have dining venues outside across from them.

  2. The suites do. I have a suite but the hammock means nothing to me. I am wondering where all the deck chairs will go by the pool and hot tubs? I will have loungers on the patio or outside my patio on Deck 5 but wondering for those say on Deck 6 who have access to Havana area and want to hang out in that area where they will relax.

That picture is cut off a little bit. Also that picture is full of clutter from the construction crews. There should be plenty of lounges and seating for Havana guest. It also has ample area under the above decked. That is opened to the outside.

  3. So I found this picture in the recently uploaded album called Carnival Vista on a social media site for Carnival Cruise Lines Italia. This pic is among 236+ other photos of Carnival Vista, but I am really wondering what room this would be. Anyone have an idea? It doesn't seem to fit the mold of the rest of the ship design and I don't recognize it. Though I will say that I love the way it looks whatever room it may be!

That is the carnival inspiration. That is the former cigar bar they turned into alchemy.

  4. I'm sure there will be many photo reviews once May 1st comes around but I do plan on doing a full photo review similar to my Celebrity Solstice Alaska trip review and my b2b Norwegian Escape and Getaway reviews, so lots of photos. But it wont begin until May 25th once I return from Europe.

Cant wait to see your review

  5. Don't you have friends in high places at Carnival? Maybe you can convince them to bring something newer to Mobile, or even Charleston!

I think they would in charleston if they would ever build a new terminal. I have wonder if they were testing the sunshine there for that purpose of porting a larger ship.

  6. This thread is turning into my ship is better then yours.... Bottom line is carnival is one of a multiple line corporation. The corporation decides to build new ships not the individual cruise lines. They apparently see a market for the fantasy class to keep them. They make to many billions of dollars not to know what they are doing

  7. Other lines are refurbishing ships too. If you want to compare ship age lets use Royal Caribbean as a comparison. Both Carnival and Royal both currently have 25 ships including their 2016 releases.

    Royal:

    Sovereign class - 1 ship 1992 (24 years)

    Vision Class - 6 ships 1995-1998 (18-21 years)

    Carnival:

    Fantasy Class - 8 ships 1990-1998 (18-26 years)

So both have 7-8 ships that are 18 years or older or lets just call these the 20 year olds

    Moving on ...

    Royal:

    Voyager Class - 5 ships 1999-2003 (13-17 years)

    Radiance Class - 4 ships 2001-2004 (12-15 years)

    Carnival:

    Triumph Class - 2 ships 1999-2000 (16-17 years)

    Spirit Class - 4 ships 2001-2004 (12-15 years)

    Conquest Class - 5 ships 2002-2007 (9-14 years)

Royal has 9 and Carnival has 11 ships that are 9-17 years old or lets just call these the 14 year olds

    Next Up ...

    Royal:

    Freedom Class - 3 Ships 2006-2008 (8-10)

    Carnival:

    Concordia Class - 1 ship 2008 (8 years)

Royal has 3 and Carnival has 1 of what we will call the 8 year olds

    Then comes the penultimate ...

    Royal:

    Oasis Class - 2 ships 2009-2010 (6-7 years)

    Carnival:

    Dream Class - 3 ship 2009-2012 (4-7 years)

Royal has 2 and Carnival has 3 of what we will call the 5 year olds

Which brings us to the very newest ships:

    Royal:

Quantum Class - 2 ships built between 2014-2015 (1-2 years)

Coming soon - 1 Oasis Class ship and 1 Quantum Class ship (2016)

    Carnival:

    Destiny Class - 1 ship 2013 (3 years)

    Coming soon - 1 Vista Class (2016)

Royal has 4 ships and Carnival has 2 that are 3 years old or less. More specifically Royal has 2 and Carnival has 1 brand new ship coming in 2016.

Both Royal and Carnival's next new build come in 2018 (1 a piece)

So the fleets are very similar in age across the board.

Well done! Thanks for showing us the facts
