  1. I see all of the threads about Guys burgers and how great it is...I must be the only one that was not impressed with the food:(. On the other hand, I love the Blue Iguana Cantina and Fat Jimmy's C-Side BBQ:)

Blue Iguana Cantina was another favorite of mine too.

  2. Can someone please let me know how much they range to play and please post some pictures? We are trying to figure out a daily spending limit for DS but also interested in seeing what type of games they have. When I google images they show alot of different arcades, so I'm not sure which one is the Pride. Thanks!!

This is not the best picture, but this is the only one I have of the Pride's arcade.

  3. Motion of ship: I read here on CC comments about how this ship has an unusual movement. Our cabin was right near forward elevators and always felt a strange rapid back and forth movement (felt mainly when lying down). Picture yourself lying down on your side and having someone grab your arm or shoulder and staring to shake you back and forth. This was despite the smooth sail we had (and very different from the vibration one would experience in an aft cabin). At times, I found it annoying when trying to sleep. Sometimes it woke me up.

YESSSS!!!!! During my cruise I felt the same thing and thought it was a normal feeling on an "April" cruise (I usually sail during summer months). I asked my fellow travelers and they said that it was not normal to sway/rock that much in April. Maybe that's just how Breeze is. However, I did enjoy being rocked to sleep :D.

    Great review, by the way!

  4. Thank you, I did see that but wasn't sure if that was the best way or not.

I'm not sure about that, so hopefully someone else chimes in to help you out. We did the tour that I mentioned above and if you're interested, you can take a look at some pics/video in the La Romana link (1st Breeze link) in my signature.

Good luck and I hope you enjoy your cruise!

  5. fyi, the folks @ Irie tours have offered a shorter West Beach Tour for my port date. Very accommodating imo:D and quick to reply to emails...cannot wait to explore Curacao with them.

I'm glad that they were able to accommodate you. They are a GREAT company!!! Get ready to have some fun! Enjoy!

  6. thanks both for the suggestion...which tour did you take with them?? and also were you in port the same hours as i will be??

We did "East Side Tour" with them for $25/person. And we were in port from 2pm-11pm.

  7. We went with Irie Tours when we cruised to Curacao on the Breeze in December. We saw a lot of the island and had some beach time at the end of the tour. It was a good value at only $25pp.

The tour was all you can drink as well.

I agree with Irie Tours. We did that on our Breeze cruise as well and had a GREAT time!

  8. I sailed during Spring Break and although the casino was PACKED, there were always some machines available. Seems like the favorite machines were Wheel of Fortune, Michael Jackson and the 4 fish machines (not sure of the name) because every time I passed through or there gambling, those machines were always occupied.

  9. It might be a pain to do but if you know which ship you want to sail on, pull up the deck plan of that ship and you'll see which cabins are connecting. See what's available online and then compare to the deck plan. Once you're happy with where you want to be.....book online and you're all set!

  10. By mid-cruise my carry on wine is gone. By then I have found a favorite bartender. It is nice to order a bottle for dinner through him/her and have it delivered at dinner. They appreciate the extra tips.

Yep, that's pretty much when mine is gone too. I drink more fruity drinks, especially the Miami Vice :D, than I do wine.

Purchasing 3 more bottles might be too much for us to finish but definitely better than 5. Thanks, moegr.

  11. You could also purchase a wine package for a small discount. They give you tickets for each bottle of wine, and you can use them at any bar on the ship. Short cruises have three bottle packages and longer cruises have five bottle packages. The cruisin dot me website has some info.

I hear so much about this website. I need to check it out. Thanks!

  12. What makes you think it would be cheaper at the bar?

Nope, same Bat price, same Bat gratuity:).

For some strange reason, I thought you're only charged gratuity by the staff that walks around and takes orders , but thanks sparks1093 for clearing that up for me.
