Online I also tried to put in one of the girls who is in the other cabin -- and it says I have to call? Do you think I will get "credit" for her too?
I had trouble adding a family member from another cabin online. When I called, I was told that the family member's cabin was booked through a travel agent and therfore does not qualify for the referral credit.

Yes, the soda cup was in my cabin along with the wine and letter. I thought the reason Central Park balconies were given a $30 OBC may have been the logistics of trying to squeeze in all those eligible for free Jamie's lunches on the 3-day cruise. I'm a little surprised Royal didn't do this for the Boardwalk balconies but maybe Johnny Rockets could handle the volume with a quicker turnover and more seating perhaps.
I've never experienced a Boardwalk cabin. I'm up in the air about my March booking. It's for a Boardwalk balcony but a HA one on deck 14 close to under the zip line landing. Just not sure about this ship for my husband.

My husband and I were talking this morning. We've sailed all three Oasis class ships. Allure is his favorite Oasis class ship. He said even with the new restaurants and water and dry slides, he'd rather sail on Allure again. But always in the Boardwalk Balcony.
I think Jaime's is a better perk than Johnny Rockets, and the bottle of wine.

Next October is our anniversary/family cruise and DH and I booked 12329 (last one on deck 12) and was concerned about the "obstruction" marking on that cabin. I've seen a picture of the view from the cabin you had and don't think the obstructed view was all that bad. As long as we can see some ocean, feel breezes, and check out the weather conditions, we should enjoy our cabin. Were you ok with the obstructed view on the other side?

Lisa just finished watching the movie Bad Mom's. Since this is an "us" cruise, hopefully she got a few ideas. [emoji6] I hope she doesn't read this post. [emoji12]
We are just crossing the Florida-Georgia Line, and all it makes me wanna roll my windows down and cruise.
Lol. I see what you did there. First timer for one of your reviews, think I'll keep following.

EAT, DRINK, PLAY: When I got onboard, I had gone to Dining Hospitality Desk by Guest Services and tried to book Jamie's for free lunch that was included in the Eat, Drink, Play promotion that came with neighborhood balconies starting with this cruise. They knew nothing about it. But in my cabin, my free bottle of red wine (a St. Martin Reserve Merlot) was waiting for me along with an Eat, Drink, Play letter stating that I was also receiving an OBC of $30 which could be used for lunch at ANY of the restaurants or at the spa, shops, etc. Since I wound up not buying anything, my OBC got applied to my daily tips.
The cups for the soda package were in our room along with the EAT DRINK PLAY letter. Instructions were to take the letter to Johnny Rockets for the meal and present it along with our seapass card. The letter was asked for by the server and we went during dinner hours on the last evening. Didn't utilize the rock climbing wall session.
Be forewarned, THIS CABIN CAN BE VERY NOISY! I tried to take a nap on day 2 but, even with the balcony door locked, I could clearly hear the band up on the pool deck. I couldn't use earplugs because then I would have slept through my alarm. So I just relaxed outside on this deck 11 balcony and the band sounded louder than it had when I was actually on deck 15 mid-way between the pools by the Mast Bar! It may have been because we were docked in Nassau and the freakish way sound can travel but others have made similar complaints about hearing noise through the boardwalk balcony doors.
We were in Boardwalk Balcony 11729 (last one on deck 11) and the wind noise at night was terrible. And you could definitely hear noise, aka screaming (from the Abyss) and music from the aqua theater shows. We had this room on Allure and didn't experience noise issues with the balcony door closed, but I noticed our balcony door on Harmony had about a 1/4 inch gap on the left side. I love the boardwalk rooms, so even with the noise, I'd still get it again.

Multiple devices packages are not showing. Must purchase single device for each person; if you want to use on multiple devices at the same time. Previously discounted 2 device package for surf and stream was $21.99, so the current deal is a savings of about $4 for 2 devices.

Schooner Bar. Also, Francisco was the Mixologist on Oasis in January. He made great specially crafted martinis. He was at the Champagne Bar in the evenings. We attended his Martini class, fantastic guy and awesome drinks.

My cousins had the Ben and Jerry room in May on Liberty. Their blue cards were exchanged for gold cards by the concierge and they had access to the new Suite Lounge.
We've had the room on Liberty and Independence last year; separate gold card to access the lounge on Liberty and blue cards exchanged for gold cards on Independence.
As stated above, it depends on the concierge.

We did the clamshells, last year and are doing them again next month. Two loungers, 2 mats, water and fruit.. transportation to the lunch buffet. They are private, and close to the water. Bar nearby, but not large selection of drinks. Just two of us as well, and we enjoyed them..
Have fun..
We did had the beach loungers earlier this year in February and it included the 2 mats, water, and fruit.
But was looking at the description of the beach loungers in the cruise planner for our November cruise (planned on getting loungers again) and the description no longer includes the 2 mats, water, and fruit.
Has anyone been recently and know if the mats, water, and fruit are still included with the beach loungers??

Great review Ken. I do have a question in regards to the different "behind the scenes" tours. Were they just for RS & OS guests or was it offered to GS folks as well?
On the May cruise, nothing was offered. But it had been on previous cruises, so I requested a bridge tour from Carlos and he set it up for us. No charge.

whats worse is they sent the kids to hog the seats thinking people wouldn't sit because they don't want to upset the children.
I believe they sent the kids because they didn't have the balls to deal with confronting people constantly.

Have sailed Liberty twice (from Ft. Lauderdale and from Galveston) and have sailed Allure. Although I prefer Liberty, especially with the slides, and love Sabor as a traditional restaurant setting. I did not enjoy the transport between Galveston and Bush airport. For that reason , I would go with Allure.

Spent my birthday 3 years ago on Allure. Can't wait to see her again through you.

Same for 5/29 sail date

The USB thumb drive (previous a CD) with all pictures you appear in priced out at $349. We had to walk away at that price. Individual photos were $20/ea.
Thanks for the information. Future cruise dates finally loaded. Pre order price is $299.

Amazing. The blueness of the water looks surreal

Hope you are enjoying your cruise.
I wanted to book the photo package, all digital photos and prints, but there are no sail dates coming up for Liberty in mycruisephotos.com . Can you see if they are still offering this photo package onboard and if so, what's the price? We sail on May 29th. Thanks in advance.

I usually order the bistro burger as a late night snack. DH loves milk and cookies before bedtime.
-
We've done both. I say salsa and salsa. DH says the bar hop.

There seems to be a lot of marketing research happening w/ regards to prices for these one day drink packages and different days they are applied. Different ships offering one day packages on different days, all with different pricing. I sense an increase in the Premium & Ultimate Drink Packages coming soon.
This particular daily package appears a bit high considering the Premium & Ultimate packages are priced at $49/day plus 18% gratuity both offering unlimited drinks vs just the ten drinks mentioned above.
And they continued to offer the drink packages. For the last two days of the cruise (sea days).

Thanks for the info. I think that's a price increase from the $20 per day it used to be.
That is correct. Just off Indy 2 weeks ago. Price was $20/day for one device in cruise planner. Was surprised and disappointed to see price was $25/day for one device once we boarded. Was waiting till we got on board to book using C&A discount. Only platinum, so cost me more by waiting.
Has anyone had any success purchasing in cruise planner and getting the C&A discount applied as a credit once onboard?
Sailing Oasis next month and don't want another surprise increase.
