It took my husband 10 years to get me on a cruise ship.
My excuses were I'm claustrophobic, prone to panic attacks in small spaces, and get major motion sickness. He finally convinced me. November 2010 we sailed on the Navigator of the Seas.
Needless to say, we have been on 7 cruises since and have 8 cruises booked through 2016.
I never noticed the motion of the ocean. First cruise was a balcony, so no issue with the claustrophobia or panic attacks. Since then have done 3 interiors, not an issue there either.
Love to cruise and taking my mom on her first in December. She will be hooked too.

I did not ask. Perhaps someone else can answer.
-
No. We were in an inside stateroom. It was available.
-
This was my first Princess cruise. Don't know about the number of elites onboard. Sorry
-
I'm always looking for the dailies when I cruise. The Princess Patter was far and few in between, especially for the 4 day sailing. Thought I'd help others and post the ones from my sailing. Paying it forward.

I wouldn't worry too much. It has to go up the chain before they can officially offer you the job. It's a process. Especially with larger municipalities.
-
Of course, if you are asked about availability and when you can start, then by all means, yes, be honest. But if not asked, there is no need to mention until you are actually offered the job.
-
As someone who works for and does hiring for a municipality, I would wait until they offer you the job. From the time you interview to the time you actually start working, can sometimes take up to 4-8 weeks.
Paperwork has to be processed up the chain, drug tests, background checks (depending on the department), physicals, etc. These things can take time. Plus you will probably have to give a 2 week notice to your current employer. By that time you may be back from your cruise. And if you are close to your cruise time, you can ask for a later start date.

Reading this thread has made me wonder, If you were to book ground transportation from the airport to the cruise terminal directly with the cruise line, would the ship wait for you??

Just wanted to post our thoughts.
We were in 11723 on the Allure
Was in the cabin early 2 nights, and music from Rita's Fiesta and Ocean Aria show was VERY noticeable. During the day, you could hear the shows (sexiest man and belly flop contest) at the Aqua Theater. Foot traffic was very minimum, even with the "secret" balcony down the hall.
Good view of the aqua theater, aft ocean view, and boardwalk area. Could not see the far left side of the aqua theater, but the screen on the right side of the aqua theater has no obstruction, so you don't miss anything. Only a small corner of the diving board areas, on the left side, is not viewable when sitting away from the edge of the balcony. But, if you pushed your chair to the end of the balcony and leaned over, you can see the diving boards on the left.
Pleasant breeze at times.
Besides the noise during events and shows, no. Just the usual long walk down the hallway to get to the cabin.
When nothing is going on at the aqua theater or on the boardwalk, the noise level is barely noticeable with the balcony door closed all the way. If you are a light sleeper, may not want to consider this stateroom. If you like being around the action, you will definitely enjoy. Though I am a light sleeper, I would get this stateroom again. I loved the location, being able to see the ocean and the aqua theater, and loved watching the action on the boardwalk.
Hope this helped.

Vintages for the peace and quite and comfortable sofas. Plus service was outstanding.

April 2013 we spent 4 days in San Juan pre cruise. Did the Old San Juan tour which included both forts with Rent the Bicycle. Really enjoyed our tour with Nancy and planning on using their services again in December.
They are on TripAdvisor. Hope this helps.

Trying to get some updated information on the Romance Packages.
Wondering as previous poster whether you can exchange the sparkling wine for a red or white wine?
Additionally, what spa treatments are included with the Ultimate Romance Package II?

Is that main dining room food? Are main dining room menus available for in-room dining in a JS?
