  1. I don't think it would be an issue. But I am not sure on the local liquor laws. I would shoot them an email at info@cib.ky to be sure.

The tour goes through all the areas of the brewery which are industrial, including the bottling area which could have broken glass on the floor. So you may want to be prepared to carry your 3yo, or have a tight grip on him during the tour.

Thank you so much for the quick reply! It's good to know that the tour goes through all of the areas we would love to see. I will send them an email and see what they say. Thank you so much for the great information!

  2. If you don't mind me asking, was there an age limit on the brewery tour in Grand Cayman? My husband really wants to do it and we will have our 3yo with us. Hubby is the only one who drinks, but I wasn't sure if they would let me carry our 3yo through the tour. I would like to do the tour too and I know a lot of parents go to shore and leave their kids in Camp Carnival, but I'm just not comfortable leaving little man on the ship while we go to shore.

  3. Good afternoon everyone! We will be flying into MCO the day before our cruise and renting a car at the airport to get from MCO to our hotel in Cape Canaveral. I know that 528 is the way in and out of that area and that it's a toll road. Can anyone who's driven it tell me how much the toll is? I've tried my friend Google, but he was unreliable and he gave me different answers. lol

  4. We didn't purchase one, but we came close. I got my husband a really expensive Citizen watch from JC Penny for Valentines day last year. He originally fell in love with it on our Legend cruise, but we didn't have the money to purchase it at the time. One of the jewelry counter folks at JC Penny managed to break two of the pins in the watch when they were removing links so we had to return it. When we were on the Pride in September, they still had the same watch in the jewelry shop so we decided to see how much it was since my hubby loved it so much. The price that they quoted us was $70 less than the sale price that I paid for the watch here in the states and that was without trying to haggle or anything so the ship price was definitely cheaper. The only reason I purchased the watch where I did originally is because they were running a great sale at the time and their price was $20 cheaper than anyone else.

  5. We've gone to the BCH twice with the last time being on the 3rd of this month. We will go there every time we are in Nassau. It's nice, clean and peaceful plus the food is good and the drinks are strong. I'm cruising to Nassau at the beginning of December and plan to go. We also plan to go when we go to Nassau on our B2B next year. We love it!

  6. We did it with our son when he was 14 months and will again the day after his 2nd birthday in September. Be sure to pack everything that you use at home from diapers and wipes to meds and powdered pedialyte in case there are any pains, injury or illness. You won't be able to find any of those things on the ship and they are hard to find in the ports. Also be sure to bring some disposable bags for diapers if the child is still in diapers as this will help keeps smells in the cabin at a minimum and it makes it more sanitary for the steward when they are sorting your daily garbage.

Don't plan to do a lot and just go with the flow. Our son was pretty easy going on his last cruise, but he had a lot of trouble sleeping the first two days of the trip and we weren't able to do much because he was grumpy. He went with the flow throughout the rest of the trip after he caught up on sleep. Take a small stroller (the big ones don't navigate down the halls or in the public spaces well plus storage is an issue). We had a portable DVD player with us and it really came in handy so he could watch a few of his favorite shows when he seemed overwhelmed and needed something familiar.

Also take a stuffed animal, blanket or a pillow that will smell like home. It helps make them more comfortable when sleeping. We tried to use a hotel and a ship sheet in his cribs and that's what caused his sleep problem so we switched to the sheet we brought from home. As soon as he laid his head down he smiled and went right to sleep.

  7. Do they have hair dryers in the cabins? We have one of the aft ext balconies that's smaller so it's missing the couch and some of the cabinets if that makes any difference. I'm trying to pack in a small bag since it's only 2 days on the ship, but my hair dryer increases the size of my carry on if I need it. :)

  8. There were three buses, and I belive the first 2 were full, but ours still had a few empty seats. Hope that helps. ( I think as long as you were not last to board you will be able to get seats regardless. They give you your park passes just before you get on the bus, and no one comes on to check where you sit).

Thank you! That makes me feel a lot better about spending the money to spend the day at the park. I'd hate to spend 2 hours of our day on a bus cramming 3 of us into a seat that's built for 2.

  9. We are going on the same itinerary at the end of September and we are thinking about the Magic Kingdom excursion. I've been a few times, but my hubby and our son have never been. Were the buses to and from the park completely full or were there a few empty seats?

The reason I ask is that our son will be 2 and they don't require you to buy a ticket for a child under 3, but that makes me wonder how they know he will need a seat on the bus. He's 19 months now and hes way too big to sit on our laps for a long period of time and will definitely require his own seat.

  10. I've been looking at this cabin and trying to decide if we should book it. I have tried a CC search and a search on Google, but I can't find any reviews. Can anyone who's had this cabin tell me if it's noisy? It looks like Bar Blue is under it so I'm hesitant on booking. Please help!

I wish I could edit the title. I am looking for anyone who has had an aft cabin around 6420 as well. Any input on noise is appreciated. I'm not sure how often Bar Blue is used on the Glory, but it's only a 2 night cruise so I don't know how the entertainment works on those short cruises.

  11. Go to Davis Island. You can park you car and watch it sail right on by. Done it numerous times.

Since you live in Tampa, maybe you can help a little more. We will be in town on the 26th and that's when we would be watching the ships sail, but it's Gasparilla and I'm wondering if it will be easy to get to Davis Island? I know we would have to take Hyde Park Ave and that's really close to where the parade starts. Is it safe to say that the crowds should be closer to the downtown area and Channelside by 4pm?

  12. Hi all! We will be in Tampa a day early for our cruise and we would like to watch the sail away for the Carnival Paradise. Can anyone recommend a place to go and watch her go down the channel that's in or close to Tampa? We will be renting a car so we can travel a little if needed. I know we can watch it from the Channelside area, but we will be in town during Gasparilla and the Channelside area will be a madhouse! Can anyone suggest a good place?

  13. Thank you for your review! I love your point of view on things! My hubby and I are a lot like you and the Andrew. We have been talking about a cruise on the Fantasy, but I've been pushing him to think about another ship since both of our cruises so far have been on that class of ship. We are on the Legend at the end of January so maybe that will give me my fix and we can give the Fantasy a try after that. I hope we get to sail with you at some point because you guys seem so fun to be around!

  14. My dad wears an insulin pump so when he went through x-ray machine...he beeped. We got pulled over to the side and he was given a pat down. Its like they had never seen an insulin pump before :o

This is one of my fears with the security check at the port. I wear a Medtronic insulin pump and I had trouble with the TSA when we flew to Vegas at the beginning of summer. They acted like they had never seen one before either and then acted like I was trying to get away with something when I requested to use the metal detector instead of the body scan (because it can fry the pump). I know it's only a metal detector at the terminal, but I just don't want it to be a hassle.

  15. This thread caught my eye instantly... also not trying to flame, but .. um.. I'm a fraud investigator for health insurance and I assure you someone trying to submit a claim for an animal for a diagnosis of sleep apnea would surely throw up some red flags as least from an insurance standpoint... as for the MDR.. hmmm.. perhaps the person also suffers from narcolepsy?? :p

I wanted to say maybe she wants to take the dog to the MDR because she also has narcolepsy, but I was afraid of being flamed or flaming the person who made the original comment posted on FB. It's too easy for either of those things to occur when something like this comes up. BTW I saw your location and I think we used to work for the same insurance company (if it's the one big one in MD) before I quit to stay at home with my baby in December. :D
