International cafe serves free coffee till 6 am. We didn't have kettles and coffee packets. Must be for Suites only.

You have to ask. I was only in a window cabin.

will that transfer to US based sailings beginning in October? - otherwise a 4am room service/app for the coffee fix

We asked the room steward after we noticed the request was on the App. I would definitely ask, as I am going to do on my next Sun cruise in October.

Thanks, I didn't know it was only a temporary table.

It seems silly not to provide a coffee section like all the other ships. I frequently get my early morning coffee myself in that section.

So now if I want coffee, tea, ice tea, ice or water I have to ask one of the crew to get it for me?

This ship seems like a step backwards in their design.

They did have pots that they left on the tables in the eatery.
I often sat outside where they didn’t have pots, so  I did wander around with coffee cups at times till someone could help.

The water pkg is still only a bit over $7 so since I didn’t have a pkg I just ordered 2 twelve packs prior to boarding.

I could have sworn that I saw pictures of self serve coffee & tea stations set up quite a while ago.

    Maybe they've removed them?

Coffee only and It’s a table so it’s easily moved or removed

  5. Checked mine with the sale price the fare is now $300 more than what I paid 3 days ago.  The OBC is only $200 so the new sale is actually in true Princess fashion, not a sale.
*just checked another of my bookings and with the sale it’s still a $60 loss after you subtract the offered OBC

  6. Not a fan of the ship.
The layout is like an obstacle course.
On other ships it’s easy to just stumble across a fun event or music but on the Sun everything is very spread out.

Not a fan of the eatery at all, food was very repetitive.

I did not like the placement of the IC, outside the eatery.

The piazza seating in theory was a good idea but it was poorly executed.

The ship is New and shiny and I enjoyed the cabin layout but I’d rather sail on the Enchanted or Sky.

  7. Princess offered an afternoon tour around 1:00

It took us around the island to the lighthouse in a small bus and to the gin tasting.

It was inexpensive and such an entertaining tour.

  8. Neither of those are true.

if you are talking about a dinner or spa those are up to the casino host. Comped cabins would start at around 5-6 on average for a 7/-10 day cruise

  9. Princess Players Casino Comps are point based. It’s approx 5,000/6000 points to receive an interior Come Back And Sail. If you get on the list though you start receiving many offers through email based on past play.

We will be sailing one week in Sapphire in June. How the self service laundry to be used? Should we bring coins and detergent from home or use creditcards? What is the cost of using the self service laundry and dryer?

    Thanks

You charge to your Medallion and it dispenses tokens.

detergent is sold through the same manner.

I think it is $3.00 for each.

    Scroll through, includes pics

Noro generally spreads among elderly people very quickly due to several reasons.
They have weaker immune systems due to age primarily.

The majority of people with a normal healthy immune system will not be floored by Noro....they will, however, if they are super sanitised and have weakened themselves that way.

    Buffets dont cause Norovirus

I spent a month on the CB and the people I knew who got Noro were in their 40’s and it wasn’t pretty.

to mitigate the spread Princess had staff serve in the Buffet.

The average buffet is perfectly safe for everyone.

Now what we have happening now is people are becoming petrified of all normal human germs and are doing everything in their power to stop contracting any whatsoever.
Sanitising everything all the time is only harming you.......so that when you DO ingest a germ you will get much sicker, much quicker than someone like me who doesnt do all those things because my body is used to it.

It staggers me that most people just cannot grasp this concept. The more germs you take on, the LESS sick youll become.

Noro? It happens often on ships and I’m sure they are trying to counteract that especially with these first few cruises.

That would be a PR Nightmare.
