I thought that NCL didn't allow door decorating at all in the first place anyways?
Oh is this correct? This will be my first time on Norwegian. Any other interesting little tidbits?

are they on the Epic?

I have some FCD’s that will expire Feb 2022. We were not able to cruise past 2 years due to COVID. Will Princess still do an automatic refund after they expire or do i need to request? Have the expiration rules changed? Thx
-
This makes it easy to change to a different cruiseline.

OP here again. I called my TA to confirm this.
It is true, but they left something out. Although our due date moved up a month, there is a $100 penalty if we do not pay by the original due date. I was hoping the new date in May would give more time to see if Princess was adopting the policy other cruise lines have concerning letters from doctors being necessary.

Yes ok. I cruise on princess mostly just thought i would ask you guys for her since phone lines are very busy

Hi. My friend’s cruise isn’t until mid july so final payment date isn’t until later BUT she had made final payment early. Under the current cancellation policy does anyone know if she can still get full refund? Cash not FCC?
thx

WOOPS - yes, thank you Leigh!!

Yes everyone accepts credit cards there. We didn’t use much cash at all

Hi are from the U.S. and we just got back a week ago from a month in Australia and New Zealand, including a 13-day cruise that stopped at many of the NZ ports you mention.
The only excursion we took thru the ship was in Dunedin, the Taieri Gorge Railway Tour. We chose that because we wanted to see some of the interior of the South Island. The day we were there, the train tour could only be purchased via the ship, which was expensive. I am glad we did it, it was pretty and interesting and there was commentary all along the way. Once was enough though, if we go again I would do something else.
We had to skip the Akoroa (tender) port due to weather.
Wellington we walked all over town and did exactly what Mic said with the tram then walked down, very fun.
Napier - just walked around town, went thru the aquarium and museum which tells you a lot about the earthquake
Tauranga - we rented a car and drove an hour to Rotorua, had an awesome day! Went to Te Puia saw all the geysers and boiling mud, then over to the Redwood Forest Treewalk, an elevated walk high up in the trees very very fun, then back to the ship in plenty of time. Driving on left side wasn't bad LOL
Auckland - we walked over to the SkyTower and purchased on site joint tickets for SkyTower plus the HopOnHopOff bus which has 2 routes, takes you all around the city, and dropped us off right by the pier!
We were in Sydney for 4 days, one day took a day tour thru Anderson Tours for just 20 people to Blue Mountains, saw Echo Point/3 Sisters, Scenic World, Featherdale Wildlife park and a boat ride back to the port. Very fun.
Melbourne -we were there for a week but one day took a day small group tour thru Vinetrekker Wine Tours, went to Healesburg Sanctuary (animals) then two different wineries in Yarra Valley for wine tasting. Awesome and well done by owner Paul.

For the OP, just to reinforce that in Sydney you can use a tap on credit card. I live in the US and just got back from Sydney and used my contactless credit card and everything worked perfectly. You just need to remember to use the same credit card to tap on and off and you will still get the benefits of the Opal card (daily max etc). Just be sure you have a credit card that does not charge foreign transaction fees.
also if there is more than one person you should each use a separate card- 1

Ok thank you

Aussie Burger was fun. Huge but fun. I thought I remembered other Australian and New Zealand options. I took photos of menus so will try to find those.
I was on the Jan 30 13 day New Zealand cruise on the Golden and enjoyed everything in the main dining room

This is so difficult to answer. This site:https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/coronavirus-age-sex-demographics/
offers statistics related to fatality rates by age. It indicates preliminary data shows it is fatal for 14.8% of those in their 80’s who contract it. There is no way of knowing how that will change as time passes and more is known about the virus. If the trip is a once in a lifetime trip that you’ve dreamed off I would not make a decision now but would continue to follow its progression and make a decision as close to your trip as possible. If you are a regular cruiser I would not risk it and would cancel vs taking the risk given your age and the unknowns at this stage.
If it’s not too late I would suggest you consider increasing your princess insurance coverage to the platinum level which will give you 100% cancel for any reason coverage later if you need it. It may be too late for that. Are we sure that Princess Platinum insurance will still fully protect (100% future cruise credit I believe) if you cancel at last minute due to concerns about coronavirus even if the cruise is not cancelled?
i know typically it says cancel “for any reason “ but these are strange circumstances
we have our final payment coming up in a few days. We are planning on buying the princess platinum insurance when we make the final payment. I just hope it works that way in case things get a lot worse in next few months.
Our cruise is just in the Caribbean

OP
regarding playing in the Casino - as everyone likes to say don't expect to win, but going to the casino on a daily basis, you will see the same people there and during a 7 day cruise, we will have good days and bad days - but we have fun and have a budget.
If you do play and spend money - on the morning of the last full day of cruising you will receive a letter from the casino, thanking you for your playing (and losing) and give you a money amount that you can receive in casino play for your next cruise. You have a 6 week window to book and you must cruise within 6 months of the letter. (and you get the % off for cabin categories)
Once you get home you will receive flyers from Princess from "princess players club". Currently our offers are 35% off inside cabin and hubby gets $300 casino credit, me $125 (guess who gambles more) and VIP amenities - these are the casino offers.
We are cruising in May for 14 days so we will see what our offers will be after that cruise
We just got back from a cruise where my husband was given a letter like mentioned above. Also getting emails about players club promotions. He gambles, i do not. We are booked for a cruise this june but not quite to final payment date yet. Can these casino offers be added to an existing booking while keeping the current promotions in place (BestSaleEver)?

thanks to everyone for their comments and advice

Wow ok thank you. Seems like they should fix that

I booked a cruise directly with Princess and asked for it to be marked "Do Not Upgrade". Is there anywhere online on my booking confirmation or anywhere where I can see that it is marked that way? I haven't been able to find it. Thank you

We were there that day on the Golden! Wonderful day

"Our hotel is Amora Hotel Jamison in Southbank. What is best way to get to/from the wharf?"
Southbank? In Sydney???
Sorry my typo. Working last minute details on multiple cities and misspoke. Obviously not Southbank for Sydney
We are at the Quest Southbank when in Melbourne.
