Hi! We are in 6270 on the Sunshine. On the deck plan it appears to be above the casino. I'm just wondering if I will hear the slot machines all night? Just making sure I'm prepared for anything!

Anyone stay above Casino before and can advise?

I was one of those the food is not all that good on the Sunshine. I didn't like the way they did trivia.

 

 

 

then two weeks after I was off..........I booked another cruise.......Christmas Cruise.......our first ever on the Sunshine.

 

 

 

SOMETHING is working good on Sunshine for all of us to be coming back.....................

 

 

 

TASTE BAR is perfect but they HAVE no TOAST in the morning...Eat there. Send the fastest runner in your group up to the LIDO for TOAST. then enjoy a breakfast with about 10 other people. Staff there to help you. LOVED it.

 

 

 

eggs. grits. bacon. French Toast.pastries. coffee juice. water.. but NO TOAST. ALSO Cereal. milk. boiled eggs. potatoes. just NO toast.

My husband who drinks bourbon at home (we're from KY) does the same thing- he gets "boat drinks". His usual selections are the mojito or the margarita. By his "cursive" speech at the end of the day, I'd say they pack a punch!

I'm glad you mentioned this cause I thought I was crazy! I swear that last year, in October, I went on the Dream and paid less per day for CHEERS.

Since I've never had it, I will still order the pay cake and then also order the room service one for a comparison! It's really the only right thing for a cake loving girl to do!

So I order a chocolate cake from Bon Voyage every cruise because it is AMAZING!!! For this reason, I have never ordered a room service piece of chocolate cake. Is it the same cake?!? If so, looks like I'm saving $10. [emoji16]

I've never expected the kids club to be a babysitting service for my boys (twins, 15). It's a place where they can meet other kids and attend activities. We set up meeting places and check in times well in advance of vacation.

 

I also take issue with the OP's "double standard" that boys can roam free and it's different for girls. My boys are tall, handsome, and there's two of them. They've never had to "buy girls arcade games to get them to stay". It's the opposite - they've had packs of tween girls follow them around the ship. It bothers me that tween girls decided to sneak into Club O2, and that somehow teen boys are to blame. That's a double standard, and it's not okay.

 

I've always thought that the kid's club did a great job of getting the kids together, encouraging them to meet each other, and providing a "home base" for activities.

We've sailed Sunshine twice, and though we're not "foodies", we don't get all caught up in the MDR hype, we very much enjoyed the alternate, though for a fee, dining options of JiJi's Asian Kitchen, Cucina del Capitano, Bonsai Sushi and the Steakhouse. Our last cruise on Sunshine was an 11 day cruise, I think we ate in the MDR twice that cruise, all other nights was the specialty restaurants, 1-2 Lido nights, and our personal favorite, pizza and beer nights. We even had an "early dinner" of Guys burgers!!

This sounds exactly like what I'd like to do! I really even love the pizza and beer night! Thank you!

We sail on her in October. I'm trying to convince my husband that we should just eat in the pay restaurants for dinner each night. I'm just tired of the five day menu.

I'm also looking forward to Guys Burgers and the Alchemy Bar- I've never sailed on a ship that had either.

I try to buy FTTF every time! I love it. I have used it out of Jacksonville before and worked like a charm. However, we also did get to the port super early and another couple that we were traveling with did not have it and they boarded right after we did.

I love it for getting our luggage early and being able to go directly to your room. I hate carrying all my stuff around!
