    Faster to the fun package?

    Get it. Don't hesitate. Until I reach platinum (which will be a while) I will buy it. Every. Time.

     

    We had it on my last cruise, the best part was not the boarding early but being able to use the special line at guest services! I thought was a great perk. I also loved not having to carry my luggage and cokes around the Lido deck while I'm trying to wrangle kids and find a seat to eat my lunch. We just dropped our stuff in our room and then had free hands all afternoon.

    So I just booked a new cruise which prompted me to start reading CC again. I learned that Carnival is giving away free cruises. I immediately checked my VIFP# and NOTHING. I then proceeded to check every single family member that went with us on our last cruise. I got to my evil MIL and sure enough: FREE FLIPPIN CABIN!!!!! Are you kidding me?!? Not me, not my husband, not my dear sweet parents but HER!!!! She is the meanest person on the earth.

     

    I had the pleasure of calling her to tell her that she won the vacation lotto and her total response was "Cool."

    Cool?!? Cool?!? I just dropped thousands of dollars on the same cruise that you are about to get for free!!!! I'm just trying to let this sink in. Oh, guess who she wants to help her plan it? Surprise. Surprise.

    Largest total price drops?

    I have just booked a 7 day, Deluxe Oceanview room that sleeps 5 for October. I booked it so cheap that I just don't see how I can possibly get a price drop! I'm not saying I don't want one but I don't see how it's going to be possible. I will be so excited if I do!!

    I'm back and I need a refresher training on ES!

    I'm back! I love when I download the Cruise Critic app again cause that means I've booked another cruise! I can't read it if I don't have a cruise booked; I get jealous!!

     

    Me, my husband, my parents and 3 of my kids are going to try out The Dream in October. I'm beyond excited.

     

    For some reason I can't get the search function to work- anyone else having this issue?!?

     

    I booked Early Saver, Deluxe Ocean view category 6N. So when I go to the fare viewer- I enter in all the information (Dream, sail date, ocean view) and if a price lower than what I have paid comes up then I put in a request for a price drop, right? Anything else I should know?

    So glad to hear good things about FTTF. We will be on Fascination in less than two weeks and have FTTF booked. We are torn on Cheers - like your situation, DH will probably drink plenty to make it worth it, but I don't drink so much, so we are trying to figure out if it is worth it since we both have to get it.

     

    You are going to have such a great time- Cheers or not! I love Fascination!!

    We are thinking of getting Cheers on our next cruise which has 4 sea days and one day that we may stay on board. Our cruise in Jan. has only one sea day and we figure that if we are in port much of the day it wouldn't be worth it, especially considering that our 23 year old daughter will be with us and she doesn't drink.

     

    I think I would get Cheers for your next cruise too- 4 sea days will be worth it!

    Let me clarify:

     

    We have lots of children which equal more than one cabin. Therefore, my husband and I are in separate cabins. Regardless, we both bought the program this time. Next time, it could be a different story as likely we will be in separate cabins again.

     

    I am fully aware of the CHEERS! rule that both must buy if in the SAME cabin.

    Good to hear about FTTF! :p Purchased it for my upcoming cruise out of Miami and thought that since we were getting in early (9:30 am), we would be getting to the port pretty early and I thought it would be nice to take advantage of it. My mom doesn't know that I bought it yet so it will be a great surprise for her especially considering that this is her first time on a Carnival ship that is NOT a Fantasy class!! :D:p

    We just returned home from our cruise on the Fascination and we had a great time. I am not going to go into the cruise portion as much as my two cents on FTTF and CHEERS!

     

    FTTF- I will purchase it every chance I get!

     

    We got to the port at about 10:45 and it was already getting busy. We were able to walk right through the doors of the port and directly to the security scanners. Once finished there, we were taken right over to the desk for our sign and sail cards. We then turned around and got in line to board- took our pics and then onto boarding the ship!

     

    Once inside we went directly to our rooms and there was our luggage! I was unpacked and touring the ship by 11:45- no joke!! Did i mention i had two cabins full of people to unpack? I watched people carrying their stuff around for hours after that!

     

    The one feature of FTTF that I didn't think I would use, I ended up using quite a bit. It was being able to use the platinum/diamond line at Guest Services. On the first day the regular line was crazy long. I was able to just walk on up to the desk because of my FTTF sticker. Saved me lots of time.

    .

    We did tender when we went to Little Stirrup Cay and I did not have to use it then cause were just early so I don't really have use the feature so I can't give any opinion on that.

     

    All-in-all if you get a chance to buy it- DO IT!!!

     

    Now on to CHEERS! I bought it the first day and until we left the port I was charged tax on all of my drinks (not that many, geez). I never even got close to 15 drinks a day but my husband is a different story- he had 14 on multiple days. Don't judge, he was on vacation and very responsible!!

     

    I felt like the bar staff waited on us just as often as someone without the program. I did a couple of times order a drink to try (Hurricane Wave and Mocha Chocolate Getaway) and I did not like them- at all- and gave them to my mother to finish without even thinking that it could be considered sharing.

     

    The 5 minute rule is real- I ordered a drink once while at Waterworks and the attendant brought it to me and said, 'I'll be back in 3 minutes'. It was cute!

     

    I wouldn't buy it for me again because I just didn't come close to drinking enough. The last two days I drank a total of 5 drinks for two days! However, I would get it for my husband. With his too many drinks and my not enough drinks we probably broke even.
