Jane,
Just to clarify - you were in a PH on an O class ship (Riviera/Marina) if I am not mistaken. OP is on the Sirena - apples and oranges.
PHs on the O class ships are fantastic; on the R ships just "nice".
I would pay $2K for an upsell from concierge to PH on an O class ship for a 21 day cruise; not so sure if I would do it on an R ship (maybe).
We did have a PH Suite on the Marina for a 21 day cruise and loved it. However, now the choice is R ship, the Sirena. As you say, not apples and oranges.

Is it worth the extra $2000 plus per person to book a penthouse cabin instead of concierge level cabin for a 21 day cruise on the Sirena?
-
MUCH more casual.

You are going to love dining at Luminae!
-
Unfortunately, the port-intensive part starts when you are the most tired from the flight to Europe - unless you arrive several days prior to the cruise.
Agree, but we are arriving earlier than the cruise.

We have done one Eastbound and in the Fall a Westbound. The thing I like about Westbound is that it is port intensive the first week, then casual and relaxing the second week as you cross the pond. Eastbound is the opposite.

We are booked for Regatta Miami to Rio on Oct 8 2017 and that cruise has been gone from view since this weekend. I called Oceania and was told there were changes and we should see these in August.
All we can do is hope that it is a good change and we got the right price!
Sirena is gone from 10/17-6/18 as well as Marina from 1/18-6/18

i had posted this on a different thread which I started when I noticed Sirena sailings from 10/17-6/18 was removed from their website. Here was the response from an Oceania representative:
We are in the process of making itinerary enhancements and have temporarily removed select sailings from the website. We will have more information on the enhancements in early August, and we will be in contact with booked guests at that time. We appreciate your patience until then.

Biggest fear on a ship is fire. Lots of flammables in your cabin.

Thanks for the update. Appears that there will be major changes ahead.

FYI, Celebrity just announced starting next Spring 2017 they will be sailing the Caribbean all year long. To do this they are using a ship that has been spending the summer season in Europe. So, all the itineraries in Europe and both TAs are cancelled. Needless to say, a lot of passengers are not happy.

I just checked the Oceania website. There are 16 cruises on Sirena from Oct 3rd, 2017 to Apr 15th, 2018.
Cheers,
Don
My computer still shows nothing for those days, no idea why.

On the Oceania website all the Sirena cruises from Oct 2017-June 2018 have been removed. Anyone have an idea why.

Is there shuffleboard on the Fantasy?
-
Been in a suite for a number of cruises and never have seen a separate section.
-
Has anyone ordered these pre cruise? If so, do you feel they are worth the $51 cost?
-
Looking at either PH or A1.
-
Looking at cabins on Deck 8 on the R Class Ships (Serena, Nautica, etc.) The above deck 9 is the pool, outdoor restaurants and bars. Has anyone experience a noise problem from above with these cabins?

We were on a rt from Singapore this past winter and the Muesli cart was not available.

We were fortunate to have a one day no charge visit through our TA on both Oceania and Regent when their ships were docked here in NY.

In this package fresh and bottled juices are included. What specific ones are they referring to.
-
They didn't last year.

Thank you so much!!!
Luminae on Silhouette

We were on the Millennium this past winter out of Singapore and also found Lumanie to be excellent. It appears we are also on the Silhouette in November and are interested in the comments.
