You've already received great suggestions. I always buy trip insurance for trips outside the USA. When we brought my daughter's boyfriend, I bought the same policy for him. I love the document that S.A.M.J.R. wrote. I agree that having a document of understanding and reviewing it with her and her parents BEFORE you book the trip is a great way to make sure you're all on the same page.

I do the same. I also put 2 tags on each bag (top handle and side handle.)

How did you like Grandeur? We're thinking of booking a 9 night 2023 Grandeur sailing. We cruised on Oasis for 14 days in March and loved it. The oldest Royal ship we've been on is Brilliance. I know Grandeur doesn't have all the fancy stuff Oasis has, but I assume it's still a nice ship.

FYI for those that think a table for 2 will socially distance them from other diners: on Oasis in March lots of the tables for 2 were about a foot apart.

Yes you can get keycards to have people switch cabins. But when booking family members in other cabins to get better pricing, consider what will happen if someone cancels or can’t go for whatever reason.

It makes a huge difference to some people. We flew in 2 days before our cruise. We had to leave our house at 5:30am to get to the airport. Our flights were super expensive so we wanted to know if we couldn’t go on our cruise BEFORE we flew. So we started our tests at 11:01pm CST.

If she’s worried, she should just bring her birth certificate with her. It doesn’t take up much space. Then it’s no big deal if she doesn’t need it.
