  1. I saw the same thing as the OP. I also tried to book a TA. Normally, if you try to book a TA, the banner offer never shows up anywhere during the booking. However, this morning, just as the OP described, the $25 deposit plus 2 free perks banner showed up on each of the icons for oceanview and higher categories. Also, after choosing my dining option, that page indicated that I would be choosing my free perks on the next page. However the only next page was the payment page....no opportunity to choose 2 free perks. So yeah, a mistake I guess, but disappointing.

  2. Thank you for your post. We are also sailing her on February 25. Any possibility you can post a photo of the officers’ info page from the first daily or tell us who the captain, guest relations mgr. hotel director and cruise director are?

  3. We book balcony cabins, not suites. I too appreciate the perks of Elite Plus. My favourites are complimentary lattes/coffees/teas, 240 WI-FI minutes each, and the laundry bags that are otherwise $50. As a Canadian resident, with the sad change rate, these perks really add up. A cappuccino is over $8 CDN. As I understand it there is no gratuity to the server in Bacio when getting the comped drink, we always tip $1 per drink.

  4. Personally I don’t want to spend any part of my vacation going back and forth to a laundry room waiting for an available washer or dryer. For cruises longer than 7 days I budget for sending out laundry and dry cleaning. Of course my Elite Plus laundry bag perk for washables helps. I do delicates and items I don’t want to risk in the sink in net bags. To save my manicure I wear disposable gloves (or have DH do the job)[emoji4]. I put items loosely in fine net bags that zip up. Available in packs of 5 assorted sizes on Amazon for about $10. I find it much easier to wash, rinse, and wring dry when the items are enclosed in the bags than when they are loose. I hang items while in port on the backs of balcony chairs with towel clips. The bags take no room or weight in my luggage and are also great as packing organizers for socks, undies, etc.

  5. I am also thankful to the OP for this heads up. As to the person saying OP should have tried to resolve the issue before posting, I disagree. Why should he have to spend time resolving anything?? It was a classic bait and switch. He walked away. Had not been charged yet like some others. Even if it was resolved, it was still a problem that appears to be systemic. It's quite disheartening to see so many similar complaints. Obviously not a one-off occurrence. Celebrity does monitor this forum. I hope they take notice and deal with the issue.

  6. I would prefer refundable deposits even though I take the cruises I have booked. However if they institute this policy and if it makes it easier for me to obtain an accessible cabin, I’m all for it. There are so few balcony accessibles and they are usually all booked up one to two years in advance on the sailings I like. Often I see some released before final payment when it’s often too late or too expensive for me to book.

  7. I've left a message on the roll call as well. Recently left my eyeglasses in our rental car while on Reflection TA. Cicar is holding them in their office at the cruise terminal where the port shuttle drops off passengers. Was hoping, and I realize it's a big hope, that someone renting a car from them would be kind enough to pick up my glasses and I will arrange for a courier pickup in Canada. I'm in Toronto.

  8. We recently shared a taxi from port to the nearest City, with 2 other unrelated people from our roll call. We met for coffee while waiting for the ship to be cleared and then headed for the exit. That's when one of them realized they had forgotten their sea pass card in their stateroom. We would have been at the front of the line to get on the port shuttle to the taxi meeting place. Now we had to wait while the line grew ever longer. 20 minutes later out she came. We were lucky the taxi was still waiting for us. Then she showed up 10 minutes late to meeting place for getting back to the ship with the prearranged taxi. We were just about to leave without her. Not the worst horror story by any means, but it sure was annoying.
