Just outside the ship..just in case you forget yourself on the island!! 😲

Indoor area with washrooms, and the hot trays when lunch is ready. A nice chicken dinner- 2 pieces of chicken, rice and beans with a tasty sauce, cole slaw and macaroni salad. The sign shows shuttle departure times.

We docked on time this morning in Grand Turk. Finally some better weather! We enjoyed Bajari Beach and it wasn't crowded at all. The waves were pretty strong today and it rained a bit on and off, but still beautiful and relaxing! One of our favourite spots.

We were on the Rotterdam in October and will be back in January. Have they completed the upgrade to Starlink for the internet? Also, have to disagree with your comment about the band in the Rolling Stone Rock Room. We thought they were incredibly talented and enjoyed every show in October and were thrilled to find out they would be on the ship until the end of February and look forward to seeing them in January.

The internet seems pretty quick to me, haven't had any issues this cruise.

For Cartagena there was nothing special required and nothing was ever mentioned on board about it. Just the usual keycard and govt issue photo ID recommended. Never needed the ID.

Just sitting in Grand Dutch area and heard singing- Feliz Navidad. Looked up to see officers going by in a procession!

Tomorrow is Grand Turk. We have an early excursion for Bajari Beach all-inclusive. We did it in Feb and really enjoyed it. Supposed to be calmer by then...Tonight is dressy night so we got a towel animal:

Kind of a weird day. It has been very rocky all day, so I went to things I don't normally do! Saw the Caribbean spirit EXC talk again, the Deep Blue EXC talk,  the Shore Excursions talk, the Port shopping talk, & the jewellery talks! I won absolutely nothing at the raffles, and tried on expensive jewellery just for the heck of it. 😄 The salesman was relentless but I perservered!! Got the silly free charms. 

Had a late afternoon sandwich and fries at Dutch Cafe so will skip dinner tonight. The show tonight was supposed to be Step One Musicology, but they switched it to Island Magic steel drums. Too rocky on board for the dancers.

Very rocky last night and this morning on this sea day! Went to a mostly empty ClubOrange for breakfast, had the banana bread French toast. Very tasty but filling. Our waiter Yudo said they were very busy with room service today..

Listened to Smoke on the Water. Was ok, not great. 

Out and about:

The croquette was tasty, the pot roast nice and tender. Jury is still out on the Brazo de Mercedes! Tasty but an odd texture.

Club Orange again for dinner, a repeat menu for us. 

We are finally moving!

 Earlier today there were some folks going around the ship with red Visitor badges. The person we talked to said they are in the entertainment field and checking out the facilities..

This cruise and the last one, there has been a separate line on embarkation day just for internet hookup assistance. It's to the left of guest services, just opposite Dutch cafe. 

We have yet to pull away.

Captain just did his emergency alarm sound annoucement, and admonishment of the few yet to check in at their muster station..."we know who you are and you know who you are...!"

Well, once we get underway it might be a challenge to find some "new material" to photograph on board! I'll keep up with the food we try and shows. If there is something you would like a photo of let me know, and I will try. This itinerary does Half Moon, Grand Turk, San Juan and St. Thomas.

The show tonight is Origin Story... currently on board is the usual mayhem with elevators, suitcases and lineups at Guest Services..

We waited close to 2 hours last year for people to come.  They finally went to the cabin of one of the people and drug his butt out of bed and slapped it in a WC.  Then later, the other one finally showed up.  People can be so inconsiderate.... 

 

Post how sail away goes and I'll try to be watching the PTZ camera at the port.  Hang on!  And enjoy.  I'll be on her in March/April!

It seems the majority of the delay was with customs in the terminal, not sure why. We finally got through it all. The rooms were ready for new boarders at 11:30. There is still a lot of wind outside. Our departure is scheduled for 2:30. 

Yes he is giving us stories right now.. still waiting on 2 cabins to get here, and still clearing out disembarking passenger luggage.

Just announced there are 227 passengers staying on for the next one!
