We have stayed at the Rodeway Inn & Suites airport/cruise port a number of times. Both pre-cruise and a day room post-cruise when we had a late flight home. Not the fanciest place but we’ve never had any concerns there. Will probably stay there again pre-cruise in late March. Breakfast is included and there is a restaurant attached to the hotel that often has live music. Our flight usually arrives in early evening and if we need food the restaurant has been fine for us. We don’t need anything fancy. There is a free airport and port shuttle. Obviously a favourite of cruisers as the both the lobby and breakfast room are busy, busy during cruise season.
Do you remember if there is anything around Rodeway Inn. CVX or Walgreens, Publix or WM?
Would appreciate any info.
Thanks

IDK... We were able to get the military discount and they required a copy of DDT 214. So IDK how your situation would work.. Call and ask all they can say is no.
I am sorry .. I don't think I read far enough... Our cruise is with Princess. Sorry I'll try to be more careful. Good luck..

My girlfriend's ex-husband was retired military. Great guy, actually. She has a U.S. Govt military ID, full on base privileges and all of that. She's said that she sacrificed a lot for the military and her (then) husband as she often had to raise her son on her own, or sometimes, move around the world on short notice.
We did get a military discount on another cruise line but do you know if Celebrity would offer a military discount under these circumstances?IDK... We were able to get the military discount and they required a copy of DDT 214. So IDK how your situation would work.. Call and ask all they can say is no.

Does anyone know what the perks are for booking a future cruise while on board? Do you think there maybe a better deal on Labor Day or would the on board booking be better? Thank you for your answers...

We sailed on the Vision in 2019. I can't remember much about the ship, we have sail several times since. One thing I do remember is the cruise director.. He was the BEST ever. We did so many things that he involved the passengers in. Such a funny guy and great activities.

If any cruise was purchased with a non refundable deposit it will remain that way NON refundable either until it is used or expires. I have used the same FCC three times. they issue a new FCC after every cruise cancelled by RCI. And that is ok. I chose the non refundable deposit. I just hope RONA lets my use it SOON. Right now I am betting on November 2021. What do you think ??? Will we make it??
-
IDK but I booked a cruise three hours ago with RCI . I choose My Time Dining. Prepaid gratuities were not mentioned..
-
I used an FCC for a deposit... You have to call...

It is every ones personal choice to get the vaccine or not... I hope I am able to get the vaccine well before I sail the first time.. just waiting now. I registered on 12/30.. have not heard a word.. Hubby got his through the VA and has had no problem at all.....
EVERYONE STAY SAFE..

I have Alaska booked for this summer and since it’s our first time there we booked all our excursions through the ship. I will miss being able to walk around the port either before or after the excursion though.
We will probably be booking our 5th cruise to Alaska . You will love Alaska.. So special..
-
I have been hearing RCI may require you to book their shore excursions or stay onboard. I would like to know your opinions. I am considering rebooking after two cancelled cruises but don't really know if I can handle missing walking arounds the beautiful Alaskan ports..
Do you think this may be temporary?

All cruises more than 7 days are no longer on the site as required by the cdc...no cruises more than 7 days can sail or be offered for sale. We have 3 in that category. Applies to any such cruise that sails from or to a US port.
But I wonder ....by Nov. if cruising starts and is successful. if CDC will lift that rule.. then maybe our cruise will be ago.
What do you think???

We have one booked for Nov. and it has disappeared I can't decide if I should be worried or not.. It is 15 day..I am hoping all will be changed be Nov.

I would actually consider my Oct 2021 cruise kinda winter....and hoping it sails for Canada/New England.
We also are booked for Oct. 2021...Montreal to San Juan. One year today we will hopefully be somewhere between Florida and Haiti. I don't suppose it is winter there but right now where I live it is 22 so that is winter.

Has anyone ever received a perk when booking a RC cruise??? We have been cruising around 15 years and have booked three RCI cruses and have not been offered any perks. I don't remember ever seeing them offer perks when booking. Someone posted they booked with a reduced deposit but I have not seen that.
Just wondering ..

Royal is not requiring that port fees and taxes be paid until Final payment. Just did one today for a client.
Really .... That is what my TA told me.. I guess I will call RCI book, then have my TA pick it up.
Thank you

My TA said RCI was honoring the FCC for a new deposit. She said they were requiring the port taxes and fees be payed when I book the new cruise. I have not booked the new cruise yet so I really hope that will happen ...who knows.... I don't want to pay the taxes and fees now but that is what I was told.

I cancelled my cruise 10 days before RCI canceled, if only I had waited, if only. OK here is my problem . I want to rebook and I am not comfortable putting another $900 down for the new deposit when I have a FCC of $900. waiting in the wings. My TA said RCI is honoring the $900.00 for the new deposit but I have to have the new FCC voucher number. So I am waiting 3 + months for the FCC number and the cost of the new cruise is almost going up everyday.. Is waiting my fate or does someone have an idea to help me??
To anyone that replies , thank you so much.

I sailed on the Empress last November out of Miami. The last time I sailed on her before that was 26 years earlier in 1993 when it was the Nordic Empress. Yes, she is old and small and very few balcony rooms. She does have a charm and beauty about her. I am scheduled to be on her next year out of Montreal if she is still sailing.
I am glad to see this post, I tried to book the Empress for next OCT. I believe . Montreal to San Juan. But reading this thread so far... I don't know... they can't use my deposit from a cancelled cruise until they have my FCC #. which may take 3 months. I still think we may give her a try. We were on the Majesty in Feb. and the cabin was small but we did fine.

In Victoria we did a harbor cruise. Really cheap. You may not have time to go to Butchart Gardens, which is wonderful.
