  1. Thanks for your reply. My positive test on 8/14 was a Rapid Antigen Test. Nowhere that I read in your second post says it had to be a positive PCR/Naat test, just a positive viral test, which I believe a RAT test to be a viral test. I will have a copy of that test and letter from my doctor just in case I cannot present a negative test on 8/26. Thanks again for your info!
  2. We are supposed to sail on 8/28 to Alaska out of Seattle. I tested positive for COVID-19 at home using free government test on Saturday 8/13. Went to a stand alone ER and tested on 8/14 to have a verified result showing positive results. If I cannot produce a negative test on 8/26, I will take documentation of Recovery with me. I think I need to take the results of the 8/14 test, along with a letter from my doctor showing I am clear to travel. My question is, has anyone boarded using documentation of recovery, and were there any problems? It will be 14 days since my positive test, and HAL requires it to be 11 days past infection. I don't have any symptoms at 5 days, and had a very mild case. Do you think I would be denied boarding even with the documentation of recovery I will take given the short time from positive test to boarding date? Thanks in advance.
  3. Do you have to have a negative COVID test to complete ArriveCan or can you complete it with Documentation of Recovery? Tested positive on a home test yesterday and tested positive today at a medical facility. I should be able to get a letter from my PCP stating I am cleared for travel before our 8/28 embarkation, and hope I can get a negative rapid antigen test on 8/26. Just curious as to what positive test will do to ArriveCan. Thanks in advance.
  4. Can anyone tell me what kind of questions are on the health assessment? I tested positive for COVID-19 this morning and we are supposed to board the MS Westerdam on 8/28. If I present a negative rapid antigen test done on 8/26, would anything in the health assessment questions keep us from boarding on the 28th? Thanks in advance!
  5. I sent HAL an email asking if retired law enforcement officers qualified for this benefit and their answer was it was only available to active officers. I would think this would apply to any first responder.
  6. Does this offer work for retired law enforcement officers, or just active officers? I retired from LEO job in April 2020, and have retired credentials, just curious as to whether this would work for retired LEO's.
  7. We have the signature drink package for our Alaska cruise on 08/28, and I know there is a 15 drink limit per day. Is that 15 alcoholic drinks, or 15 drinks of any kind including soft drinks and specialty coffee? I tried to find the answer on HAL website, but am still a little confused! Thanks in advance!

  9. We are booked in Verandah cabin 5087 for an upcoming Alaska cruise the last week in August. Looking at the deck plans, there will be lifeboats below us on deck 4. Will this make our view partially blocked or will the view be OK from this balcony? I still have time to change cabins if the view will not be all that great. This will be our first Alaskan cruise and our first cruise on HAL. Looking forward to it. Thanks in advance. Bob
  10. I booked a HAL cruise this past Friday, May 20th. I logged in to the HAL website and created an account, and also downloaded the Navigator app for my iPhone. When I log in to the HAL account or Navigator app, it says I do not have any cruises booked. I called HAL and they can find my cruise using the booking confirmation number, so I know my cruise is booked. Do you think it is just too early for the cruise to show up in Navigator and on the HAL website? I have version 4.10 which I think is the current version. Since I have confirmed that HAL has my cruise booked, it is not that big of a deal that it is not showing up, but I really would like the convenience of using the app if it will ever show my booking!
