Hi, does anyone know whether the beach at Atlantis is still free and accessible?

I have a friend who went years ago and said it was great. Looking for a beach day in Nassau that is affordable with a nice beach if this is no longer an option. Any suggestions or advice?

We are curious about this also. We have one extra person who may be coming and our package only allows a certain number of people. Any idea if a generous tip beforehand would gain them entry? All we are having is the ceremony and the cake and champagne toast.

Just be prepared for the possibility that the cruise can be rerouted.

Has anyone recently been married at Shaw Park Gardens?

We have it booked but I cannot find any recent photos or reviews.

We have been to the gardens before but it has been a couple of years.

Any more AC issues? Is it on certain decks or just random rooms?

I am sailing tomorrow and just hope my AC works after hearing the complaints here on CC. I can deal with the food issue. As long as I can get a sandwich or something to eat I am good. My expectations are very low for this cruise. Thank goodness I didn't pay much for it, feel bad for those who did.

On the boat now... finally able to post in GC.

 

Quick thoughts...

 

The ship looks great. The staff at the Boleros and casino are second to none.

 

That said, getting room service the first two days was impossible. We had to wait 35 minutes to get late night food at the Windjammer the first night.

 

And to top it all off, no A/C in our room through the cruise thus far. It has been miserable. I mean miserable.

 

Luckily we have the premium package so we can get trashed and not worry about it when we go to bed at night. But I've woken up both the last two nights because it has been so hot.

No AC is unacceptable, I hope they are compensating you somehow. Do you at least get some kind of fan? Can they move you or is the ship sold out? What type of cabin are you in?

I am curious too. We are getting married during this cruise and would like to purchase FTTF so we can take our extra baggage with fragile items to our room. We are on the Jan 22 cruise.

Only one more week until the 28th. Hopefully in a couple of days we will know for sure if she is ready. I still haven't booked my parking or did online check-in. I am waiting until I know for sure. Fingers crossed!!

I am booked for the June 2 cruise. I am anxiously awaiting the May 28th sailing to see if it goes. I figure if it doesn't then I am definitely not going. Not gonna let it ruin my time off. I have a back up plan just in case. This cruise will make me Diamond finally so fingers are crossed!! :cool:

Hi, has anyone had the Jamaican wedding cake provided at the ceremonies in Jamaica? I was wondering whether I should pick something other than the traditional Jamaican recipe? Any suggestions?

I would not wait to book your wedding Jan. I called Friday and reserved the last spot for our ceremony in Jamaica for our January 22, 2017 Vista cruise. We wanted to do in in Miami but it was already booked 11 months out.

Thank you for the advice. I will definitely take it with me. Anything to save a few dollars.

We are booked on the Vista on 1/22/17 also. We have decided to do our wedding in Jamaica at Shaw Park since the ship was booked on boarding day. Any idea if it's easy to do in Jamaica?
