Thanks to everyone for the information. I had looked through the website and could not find that information anywhere. It mentions being available on two classes of ships but not the Grandeur.
Does anyone know if the website shows it?

After looking at the deck plan, I believe we had it in Chops last November.

Thanks Snorkleaway.
I thought they did but could not find the information online. Called RCCL and they said there was not. So much for customer service.

Does the Grandeur suite passengers have a seperate room for breakfast other than the continental breakfast in the lounge?

who is missing the masquerade nights, the aquavite, the pleasently efficient scandinavian stewardesses, internationally acclaimed dining staff, all food dishes silver plated on Royal Viking Line
Nothing today comes close. Those stewardesses really could dress up a ship. We sailed on all their ships including the the first voyage of the Royal Viking Sun, now the Prinsendam.

The three Oceania ships have teak decks so there is still some left.

We were on one of the early cruises of RV Sun. It was the North Cape and I remember the large numbers of people along the shore line and on bridges watching us pass and taking pictures. Of all the cruises we have taken this one holds the most memories, of the ship, the crew and Captain Harshiem.
Wondering where Capt. Harshiem is now. I heard he had left Residencesea.

I believe I saw somewhere that Capt. Harshiem is no longer on the Residencesea.
I was told by a captain on RCCL that Capt. Vebenstadt taught at a maritime academy for a time after leaving RVL and is now deceased. He was quite a character and my idea of what a captain should be

When we went to a TA and asked them to recommend a cruise, our first, she told us that everyone should cruise RVL at least once. We took the cruise, Alaska, and cruised with them five times before they folded. Our last cruise was on the Star before it went to NCL. We did the North Cape to Spitzbergen on the Sun when it was new. Third cruise for it I believe.
The captain was Olaf Harshiem who made you feel like he was operating your yacht. He was later on the World of Residence Sea. Don't know where he is now. Great memories. Nothing half as nice since. No pretty Norwegian cabin attendants. No European waiters.
Next cruise 25 days on Oceania in November.

We sailed on the Sky in the 80s. I believe it was to China. Captain Vebenstadt was in command. He later taught at the maritime academy and is now deceased.
We were on the RVL Star on its last cruise before becoming the NCL Star for its next cruise. Had a long evening with the captain in his cabin. It was quite a treat. Having said that I forget his name.
