Pre vivid San Giorgio canceled our reservation last minute along with several others on our cruise. It appeared that those booking directly were fine but if you booked through like Expedia, etc., you were canceled.

Probably by the time you pay to use their nebulizer, you could have bought a couple of portable nebulizers.

The last couple of cruises we did not book early were very poor experiences. Only times available were very late. I vowed in the future to either book ahead or go with the traditional early or late seating. The next cruise I have already booked all our dining times.

IMHO if MTD is full and you do not have the benefit of making your reservations online before cruising, getting a preferred reservation time on board may not be possible either. Past experience has reinforced making my reservations for MTD online ahead of time. If I could not, I would prefer a fixed seating.

I have booked for September with Weather Permitting for a whale watching and Mendenhall excursion. You may want to check out his website. He has been very responsive. He suggested an afternoon in September vs. morning as he (Captain Harry) says it can possibly be foggy in the morning.

I have been looking at luggage. We travel quite a bit. I believe my next set will be the Samsonite Stryde Medium Journey and the carry on.

You can book privately most of the tours that RCCL offers. I have almost always booked myself for less.

We use the packing cubes, shoe bags and packing folders. Packing folders are great for dress pants and shirts. Easy to find items pre- or post cruise in the hotel. Also most everything is left in cubes when we unpack in the stateroom. Travel folders fit well on the larger shelves.
These are also a plus if your luggage has to be opened by TSA.

Which ship will be in Southampton?

2019-2020 deployment schedule shows Anthem still in NJ throughout December 2019.
Am I missing something? I do not see Independence listed.

Soda package does make them a lot of money. I could buy a case and a half (36 sodas) per day at home for with the amount they charge daily.
-
Some of the RCCL ships do not have the Coke Freestyle machines that recognize the chip. However, we have always received an insulated cup with our soda package either way.

On our TA cruise last April, there was a woman in approximately her late 70's that wore what I would describe in length as "Daisy Duke" shorts, a jacket and dressy sandals every night to the MDR.

We are cruising from Barcelona in November and checked into flying Mark's son into Barcelona for a few days prior to our cruise to visit. Fares were very reasonable on British Airways. Gatwick to Barcelona was about 100 pounds round trip. Not sure what time of the year your cruise is as that could increase the fare.

About 10 years ago, my husband passed away. We were scheduled for a cruise. We had cruise insurance. I did not go on the cruise; however, I received points for the cruise.

I have received lots of emails.

I have predominately cruised with RCCL. They have the Air2Seas program that you can book you air through at very reasonable rates. Does MSC have a similar program? I am looking at Med cruises and flying from the US.

Both are nice. If I had the choice I would pick the aft over the hump. As said earlier, the balcony is larger.

We both carry CPAP's & I have always packed a plain extension cord in one of the CPAP bags. I've never any problem with it flying or cruising. I also request an extension cord from special needs just in case. The ships cord though is pretty big & there is only one plug. We have 2 machines to plug in.
We also have two CPAP machines. The last few cruises they have brought us an extension cord but they were not long enough. I carry an extension cord in my bag that does not have surge protection. I have never been approached about it. It came in handy when the ship's cord would not reach the head of the bed.

We were one the TA last month. There is smoking in the casino and there was a strong cigarette odor in the casino.
I had the eggs benedict and this was the first time I did not like them. Eggs were fine but very little canadian bacon or hollandaise sauce.

Had a similar experience on the the Jewel TA last November. We usually wanted to eat around 6:30. We were told we could not be seated for a few hours and ate in the WJ. This was the first time I had experienced this with MTD.

Bought 2 of the Klymit sleeping pads from Costco which also included a pillow. They are about the size of a water bottle when folded up. Just an FYI...Our Walmart did not carry these.

We have been on several cruises where the beds were so uncomfortable. We ordered these as well for an April cruise. Ours came with an inflatable pillow, too. I think the pillow will be great to put under a regular pillow as the pillows seem to always be so flat. Hope this makes sleeping more comfortable.

I have only once been provided an extension cord that would reach my CPAP machine. I always carry an extension cord. My cord is a normal length so I have used both cords to reach. Now there is an added wrinkle as my partner uses a CPAP, too. I wish all the ships had outlets by the beds!

We stayed there previously booked 3rd party no problem as have many others...after last experience as well as others of being canceled days before the cruise, I will never book with them again. There are plenty of other options.
