You'd be throwing money away. No 21 year old will ever be top cruiser. For the very reason that they would rarely be traveling without their elders who likely have more points.

Agreeing. Our kids were 3rd top cruisers early this year, as we were the only Pinnacles.

    They are 24.

Feel my pain. I always wish every year they would change up the 4 and 5 nights but they are always the same with +1/-1 port in Malaysia. So bored of these already...

    We do feel your pain.

We won't do those 3/4/5 nights again to the same ports.

We would go to Singapore every year for our winter-time cruise.

Well we do go twice a year for the repositioning.:)

Going to China again this year for our winter cruise.:(

Hope the horses and jockeys can swim, the conditions are horrendous in Melbourne! My street is flooded, so not intending to go out.

Good luck to all having a bet or in a sweep! Backed a horse in the Derby named after our suburb's football team of past years. Came second so just as well it was an each way bet.

    Hello Leigh & Rob.

Look for him in next years Melbourne Cup.:)

  4. Hi Seija & Adrian, unfortunately we will only be doing the Tianjin to Singapore leg so we may see you as we get off!!

I emailed the concierge (Nadia) asking whether the concierge lounge would be accessible on boarding day and her reply stated:

"Concierge Lounge will be open as soon as boarding begins . We will have some sandwiches, fruit and cookies, also the coffee machine is open so you can wait here till the staterooms are open, around 1:30pm."

    Happy cruising!

I see in your signature that you are coming to Australia again.

Maybe we can catch up then.

I have your email address somewhere.

I'll see if I can find it.

We did a cruise with Bruce & Eddie earlier this year.:)

    Happy cruising.

  5. Hi Steve & Ronnie.

We are on the next cruise, are you staying on?

We did Ovation in China, a couple of weeks ago.

The sea pass cards were on the door like normal.:(

We only got into the CL on the second leg of the B2B, as we had got our cards on the last night of the 1st cruise.

A couple of stewards questioned us, and when we said we were going to the CL they let us through.:)

Hoping to cruise with you again

    Seija & Adrian

  6. Having returned from the cruise in 1854 I can confirm it has no suite benefits at all. We were issued with blue sea pass cards, not even JS silver ones. Front desk staff indifferent, claiming it’s an ocean view, tried explaining it was newly re categorised as an Ocean view Panoramic suite.

Had to escalate to guest relation manager who has taken this up with Miami. He along with us checked many sailings and this VP suite was more expensive than GS and on occasion OS. We were lucky as had DP so could use the concierge lounge. Be warned, if you have no status and pay top dollar for this “suite” that actually is a suite by name only you will get no suite benefits at all.

Regarding the cabin itself , the views are great, however on Indy it’s below the golf course, somebody decided to screw BOSE speakers to the deck , the music was left on all night which came thru to the cabin, loud base music. Again, we had to chase management to get this turned off at night.

It is also above the gym, one night , around 11pm, boom boom boom music , this time from the gym. I went down and of course closed to guests so went in the back way to see the staff working out. Spoke with the gym guy and pointed out to him that now there were cabins above and to ask the staff to use headphones ,tbh totally oblivious.

Despite speaking with the GRM on a few issues no contact from the hotel director which in my opinion is poor customer service. Would not book these cabins again

    Have you received double points?
