We've done many wonderful NCL cruises, are Sapphire level, and were looking forward to once again booking with NCL. We've cruised a lot, with several cruiselines, but NCL is our favourite.
We're in Australia. I was just browsing upcoming cruises as Norwegian Spirit is coming to Australia. Then I noticed the "Free at Sea" promotion can't be removed. I can untick the beverage package and the specialty dining; the shore excursion credit and the wifi package can't be excluded. Even if I de-select dining and beverage, the fare remains the same.
We get 2 specialty dinners via our Sapphire perks. We would prefer these days NOT to have wifi as we enjoy the break from devices, plus we spent so many years cruising and needing wifi due to my husband having to be in constant touch with his business ... so now he's retired and we want to relax.
So what to do? We simply don't want to pay more for a cruise than we feel comfortable with, and in the light of HAVING to take the so called "free at sea" promotion, we'd be paying for things we don't need or want. In effect, we'd be helping pay for others' beverages but getting nothing for our benefit.
Thoughts, anyone, please?
