  1. If enough passenger rate Grand Cayman as a zero on the survey and complain to guest services etc. The. Raise lines may think twice about port stops at GC.  The way to create change is by hitting the port where it counts, in the wallet.    I’m on Beyond in a few weeks, didn’t plan on getting off the ship - now I definitely will NOT.  I will not reward GC with money.

  2. Facial recognition is tied to the photo in your passport.   When you disembark, you'll proceed to a series of small pedestal-style kiosks, where you'll look at a screen that reads your face with a camera and compares it with the photo that's linked to your passport or visa.  Travelers who don't want to have their photos taken can, instead, request that CBP verify their identities directly.

It is difficult to say price wise.  You basically have to review the upcharge vs what a spa pass would cost for the week.  These suites are new so I’m not sure if they also have the aqua class shower amenities etc. I considered one but I’m happy with my S1.

We had an IV on EDGE not our fav  layout ( preferred the SV) and of course our BEYOND Suite ..lots of space!  I think  we could manage ok with the IV.keeping bi folds open..

We miss the Thermal suites and  BLU...it was amazing on BEYOND. Much better than  Luminae and more suited to our tastes..  Had our last night dinner there..filet mignon . It was perfect, we had a bread tray and fancy butters/ veg spreads on our table,,.

. We are Having the great debate..suite with perks at higher cost or AQ with Blu and smaller room...fewer perks but acces to Thermal suite and BLU guaranteed!

Something else to consider to make the choice more difficult.  Beyond and Ascent have Aqua Sky Suites that give you all the aqua class perks AND all the suite perks.

  6. The bar before World Class Bar was the Molecular Bar.  It was a partnership with a “celebrity” mixologist.  The cocktails were licensed to Celebrity Cruises for a fee. At the start of the partnership the mixologist trained the bartenders in the cocktails.  Eventually, celebrity figured out they could rebrand the bar, move away from the licensed cocktails and introduce their own, thus reducing cost and increasing profit.  It is a business after all.

I really enjoy WCB and can’t wait to frequent it on my Beyond B2B, but found Molecular Bar to have better cocktails.

  7. Loving your review, Thank You for doing this.  I have a B2B scheduled on Apex the first two weeks of March.   I have a couple of questions if you don’t mind. Since masks are now mandatory at all indoor venues, are guests required to wear a mask in the solarium when not in the pool or hot tub?  Also, are guests required to wear a mask during spa treatments, massages etc?

  8. Although I haven’t yet been officially notified by my TA, it appears as if this cruise has been cancelled.  It no longer shows on the Celebrity website, and it is also missing from another website I use to check cabin availability.  125% FCC here I come. Now, if only my Apex B2B For March 2021 doesn’t get cancelled, I’ll be in great shape.

  9. I'm wondering if this has to do with the water being in single use plastic bottles.  In the past, when I brought a case of water on board, I always put a luggage tag on it and it was delivered to my stateroom. I've done this in the past on several Celebrity ships, including Summit.  With Celebrity moving away from single use plastics, and having bottled water in glass bottles and aluminum cans on board the ships, they may be trying to limit the amount of single use plastic brought on board the ships.

  10. Thank you to everybody that responded. I definitely have much needed info.  I like to have a quick breakfast before I leave, if Luminae is open at 6am, we should be able to grab something and then leave.  I also don't stress over flight, I prefer to get home as early as possible, but if I miss the flight I will book another or like one of the other poster, spend the night in FLL.

  11. Hello,

i am am trying to decide if we should do walk off or standard debarkation.  We have a flight booked for 9:43am out of FLL.  I know we can make the flight if we do self debarkation but hoping to catch breakfast in Lumine first. Anyone anyone bueller bueller.

I don't think they're asking about their sailing.  I think they're asking if we're going to see any awesome live reviews this week.  The thread title might make you believe otherwise, but the posts are pretty clear.

That is exactly what I was inquiring about OriginalBoat. Thank you for helping to clarify.   In this holiday season it was very nice of TomMMD to tell me where to go.  Perhaps I should do the same in return.

  13. I don't smoke, never have, but I love people that preach inclusiveness and understanding and equality EXCEPT when you don't agree with them.   That is called bulling which they are also against EXCEPT when you don't agree with them

THEN bulling, deviceness, and my way or no way are totally acceptable.  So force the world to conform to your way while you pretend to be inclusive.
