  1. Today I checked a price online for a cruise and thought great I can swap out from an oceanview to a Balcony at basically the same price. It also states that for a balcony that the OBC would be 200 instead of 100. The trouble is that the price for repricing Next cruise is 1000 more expensive than a conventional booking. So, I would have to cancel my booking and lose my deposit plus relinquish OBC in order to facilitate the change. From a price perspective it works, but, it is not how this was sold at the Next Cruise desk onboard. I really do not understand how this was originally booked at conventional prices, but with repricing they have a myriad of different possibilities. Please guide me or tell me what I am missing.
  2. Do you know if it supports esim. And also when going from country to country are there any toggling ir adjustments made to the phone?
  3. Thanks. Appreciate the link. I was looking at Airlio and it states just data. Many references to this card a and I was thrown by data referenced only.
  4. So these sim cards are for both calling and data? Looked at a few and they do not include calling. Does anyone know if there is a combo which is reasonable. Looking for Europe data and calls and texts to and from Europe to Canada.
  5. It seems absurd because once you are on the ship obviously testing negative prior to embarkation, you then get Covid and pass it on to the port that you stop at which could be a few days after. The only surefire way of prevention is to test on board prior to getting off in Greece et al.
  6. That is what I was wondering also. It appears that your assumption is accurate. I just do not know who is responsible for these updates. If it is the medical staff in collaboration with communication staff, they need to be more precise.
  7. That was precisely my point earlier. Embarkation and port stop is totally different.
  8. Are you on the Holy Land Odyssey on CC roll call? I am on their and it is all over the map. I contributed to the confusion and now we have newer info that compounds it. I think what is not clear is whether we require proctored tests to embark from Rome. If we do not, is the non proctored test eligible for Greece entry!
  9. Thanks for that! What a tangled web of i formation. It is all over the place. Hopefully our cruise docs will give all of the requisite information.
  10. So this is on website embedded in FAQ’s. Assuming no requirement for proctored in Rome embarkation this is Greece port stop for vaxxed people. If You Are Vaccinated But Your Vaccine Is Not EMA-Authorized You will be required to take a test onboard before going ashore in Greece NOTE: Greece considers those who have received a non-EMA authorized vaccine to be unvaccinated regardless of the date of their last dose. All Royal Caribbean guests age 12 and older must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to boarding. Guests age 12+ that are not vaccinated; are vaccinated but not up to date; or were vaccinated with a non-EMA authorized vaccine, must take a test onboard to go ashore in Greece. most have EMA vaccines Pfizer, Moderna etc
  11. Thanks but it is somewhat combined as it is protocol for embarkation in Rome but a port stop which you refer to. So in your estimation if you are not required to test proctored in Rome and do not want to visit a port that requires it. What would you summize? And TBH I have not noticed the link you provided. TIA
  12. Therein lies the issue. Most documents refer to embarkation ports. Not port stops! In my world this is not a departure in Greece. It is a port stop which you may or may not get off the ship. It may be clear to you however for many it obviously isnt based on posts on many sites. If they RCL were attempting to make it simple, they would have made it itinerary specific, not trying to find Waldo.
  13. Getting Ready to Cruise Here's everything you need to know before your vacation — from vaccination and testing requirements to checking in, and other steps to help ensure a smooth boarding day experience. Where are you sailing from? Amsterdam, Netherlands Athens (Piraeus), Greece Baltimore, Maryland Barcelona, Spain Boston, Massachusetts Brisbane, Australia Cape Liberty, New Jersey (Caribbean Sailings) Cape Liberty, New Jersey (Bermuda or Canada Sailings) Copenhagen, Denmark Florida Galveston, Texas Haifa, Israel Los Angeles, California New Orleans, Louisiana Rome (Civitavecchia), Italy San Juan, Puerto Rico Seattle, Washington Seward, Alaska Singapore Southampton, England Sydney, Australia Tarragona, Spain Transatlantic Cruises from Europe Vancouver, British Columbia Venice (Ravenna), Italy If your sailing departs on or after September 5, 2022, you can see your protocols using the links below: Spain, Amsterdam, Southampton Haifa Italy I plugged in Rome and this came up. No mention of Greece
  14. It is ridiculous but they must have some logical reason or restrictions out if their control. What I would like to see is a comparison between other Cruiselines with respect to Greece port stops or embarkation. If it is all the same then it is country driven and out of RCL’s control.
  15. I believe the issue is more that all countries are not in alignment. Most are onside but some require assistance from the cruiselines to keep their country as safe as possible. Regardless of what we all assume, the only problem is lack of clarity in communication. they should take the time to individualize current requirements with a color coded system for each and every cruise. If its green, nothing is required, yellow requires your attention, vaxxed and or testing and red is both must be vaccinated and tested. From their they can describe particulars for your cruise.
  16. I previously suggested Fonus. 50 countries for calls unlimited but data only for US Canada and Mexico 20 gb for the month. SIM is 15 US and then 30 US per month. Much cheaper than the Can version with the cell companies at 15 per day which is 450 per month.
  17. Check out FONUS. I just bought the sim but havent used it yet. Its 15 USD for the sim and 30 US per month. Works off of ATT. You get 20 GB of data per month which is good for Can US and Mexico. You get free unlimited calling and texting in 50 countries plus you can either port your current number or use another selected one.
