  1. We were on the Marina and went from San Antonio, Chile to Papeete and then did the 10 days around Taihiti - there was a fabulous band on the ship from Brazil. There were about 4 or 5 couples that did ballroom dancing every day up on the Horizons Lounge. The band was so good that even my husband and I danced - not ballroom though!
  2. I just wanted to remind some people that might have forgotten, to apply their Future Cruise Credits to their booked cruises before they expire. I remembered just two days before ours was to expire. Maybe Oceania is being generous if people have forgotten - I hope so. We did have three cruises booked but had not yet decided which cruise we would use the FCC for.
  3. Sea42 - Aw to sweet!! I want a puppy too!! Hehe!! We cancelled two cruises for 2020 and one 2021, but booked one for 2022 that is similar to the 2021.
  4. cashmeremypuppydog!! Thank you for all your information!! Did you write a blog that you can share? I saw your post on the Feb 2/21 Cpt to Singapore Oceania roll call to read your posts here!! Thank you for doing that! I am going to write you as I have so many questions. Lauren
  5. It probably depends if you are in your room a lot. If you are only there to sleep and you are out and about most of the day, it would not be a problem. But if you like to be in your room a lot, have naps in your room etc. you might hear the chairs being moved a bit. And if you are the type of people that don't like any noise do not have your cabin below the pool deck. JMO
  6. We also like sea days but only if we are busy sightseeing on our other days while we are on a cruise.
  7. Hehe!! Well maybe😉. Six sea days in a row - that is boring.
  8. Hi All. I just thought I would add my 2 cents!! We were on Sirena March 8th and the first two days were extremely rocky. The next two days we stopped at Martinque and St Lucia (I think). The rest of our 10 day cruise was "suspended" according to what Oceania said in a letter that was left in our cabin. We never felt like we were in an extreme or horrendous situation while on board. It was boring be sure but me and my husband never felt like Oceania was hiding anything - we in fact felt they were upfront letting us know that the cruise was being suspended. The only thing we wi
  9. I don't understand why the American that comes into Canada cannot bring up their groceries. My sister has lived in the United States for over 40 years and she does it all the time. She is not bringing up liquor though - just groceries. She always lets Customs knows what she is bringing - never a problem and never has had to pay duty. At this time, American's I pretty sure cannot travel up to Canada just for pleasure purposes. However, my husband's good friend's adult child, lives in the USA and comes back and forth through the border to his job that is in Canada and he can do t
  10. In British Columbia - Home Depot has been open the whole time not just curb side pickup. I know this for a fact.
  11. JMHO - I will be on board with my numerous face masks and gloves and isopropyl. I cruise for itinearies and people and not for food, entertainment. I will need a vaccine to get on board though.
  12. I am pretty sure I read that the Seattle Port is also closed until July 1st.
  13. cruisingxpert Yes it is the first one - I am a long way from doing a live report. I love reading them all though! Thanks for noticing!! Hehe!! Lauren
  14. Yay! I did it! Easter Island and the Marina.
  15. FetaCheese Thanks for your help.
  16. LHT28 - Thanks for the great idea. For some it might be common sense but for me, who is computer lagging - a great idea!!
  17. Thanks everyone for all the help. CC does not seem to be working all that well lately!! I only get sporadic notifications if I comment on something. And I had pressed the button "Notify Me of Replies". I was just looking around on CC and notice there were more replies to my question. And while I am complaining (LOL!) I wish they could fix the Roll Calls - you have to search through the whole Sirena roll call to find yours each and every time. I wonder why they changed that - not very good - in my humble opinion!! Again thanks for all the help!!
  18. Thanks ORV!! That is what I wanted to hear!! Those gratuities will be paid !! Yippee!! Thanks again!!
  19. Hi LHT28 No I am not taking any other cruise as part of the 30 day South African cruise. The 30 day South African cruise would put me to my 10th cruise level. All other cruises up to that point would put me at the 8th level. The 30 day South African cruise would give me the 9th and then the 10th level during that cruse I just wanted to make sure while I am on that 30 day South African cruise my gratuities will be covered by my Silver Level which I would reach while on that cruise. I would be at the 9th and then the l0th level - giving me the Silver level while on th
  20. Flatbush Flyer - So I would be at Bronze level before my 30 day South African cruise. So my 30 Day South African cruise would put me to silver level. I can't seem to say it clearly - sorry!! Okay to be blunt I have as follows taken: one - 19 day, one 29 day, one 10 day, one 18 day, one 10 day, one 7 day, one 14 day and then my 30 day cruise. So these cruises put me at the Silver level during the 30 day cruise. - I am really sorry for being a silly!! Thank you for your help!!
  21. I researched but could not seem to find this information on the loyalty program with Oceania. I thought for sure I saw it at one time but was not able to find it now. My question is if I am on my 10th point while on a cruise do I move to that 10th point level - being silver membership level? Or do I stay at the Bronze Level and then on my next cruise I move to the silver level? Sorry if I am not being clear. Thanks for the help!
