  2. We're booked in a Sky Jr suite and the VOOM wifi package is included.
  3. Could someone please tell me what the differences in amenities are between a full Sky suite and a Jr Sky suite on the Icon? I'm reading f.i. that Jr suite guests are welcome for dinner in the Coastal Kitchen venue. So, not welcome at other times? Any other exclusions?

  6. This may be a dumb question. But supposedly there was an identity theft situation where someone from B.C. canceled her cruise. What would be the purpose/gain for anyone to do such a thing?
  7. I have also paid $500 to be placed on a wait list for the Celebration. This was in March. I was never contact by Carnival, but kept checking online almost every hour. One cabin did pop up (I assume a last minute cancelation) and I grabbed it. Had to be paid within the hour, so I called in and had the $500 moved over.

  10. I'm used to paying for my cruises with gift cards. First time trying this on RC, I purchased a Royal Caribbean virtual gift card. My travel advisor is not able to apply it in the booking engine. He called in and RC does not know how to assist. The CS rep kept saying that gift cards can only be applied to bookings made directly with the cruise line. Does anyone have experience with this?
  11. This is easily done by calling Carnival. Since you're staying on the same sailing, there won't be penalties.
  12. We are considering a quick beach cruise right after Thanksgiving. But everywhere I search, the reviews are awful. Has anyone on this board been on the ship recently and can chime in? Is she really THAT bad??

  14. Priority embarkation, 1 large bottle of water, complimentary cookies. Larger cabin. I cruise in suites for the space, not for the perks.
  15. I have a question about onboard bar crawls. I understand that I need to mind my own business, but this intrigues me. It's now the 3rd cruise group page that I'm involved in where a bar crawl/cruise crawl is offered by seemingly a professional organization. There are links for registration and T-shirt sales. Is this approved by Carnival? Because, what happens if we pay and these events are forbidden/stopped by the cruise line?
  16. Not what I meant. There used to be Tenderloin filet on the regular MDR menu. Unfortunately they also took the filet away from the Seaday Brunch steak & eggs, as well as from the Diamond luncheon.
  17. The striploin steak is not the filet. The filet cut is Tenderloin.
  18. Trying to settle a discussion. On the Celebration- is there a specific night that filet is offered on the new MDR menu?

  21. On the social media someone wrote that they were able to get cans at the coffee shop. I was actually hoping someone here would chime in and confirm.
  22. We have used them many times. No complaints. They're on time (except 1 time pick up from the port) and the pricing is reasonable.
  23. I'm sure this has been asked before, but here it goes. On the Celebration, if you have Bottomless Bubbles, can you use the soda machines on Lido for free? And will they give you cans at Java Blue(Bubbly) and at the bars?
