  1. So if I understand the deck plans, MSC has taken a major departure from other ships (at least the ones I've been on) and moved the main buffet to one of the lower decks. But there is still a smaller buffet on the upper pool decks. Seems like this is a good idea to disperse people throughout the ship all day long - relieving congestion on the pool decks. I wonder what the smaller buffet will serve.

Interesting , indeed. The brochure mentions on page 2 that there are 4 main restaurants, and 5 specialty restaurants. Is it possible they are counting the 2 separate buffets as 2 separate restaurants out of the 4? Then that really leaves only 2 main restarants?? Just curious...:confused:

    Excerpt from page 2:

    "From our 4 main restaurants

    and 5 specialty restaurants to

    our kids-only restaurant, enjoy

    outstanding cuisine from

    renowned chefs such as the

    culinary pioneer Roy Yamaguchi.

    Also, with flexible dining, you

    can choose a preferred dining

    time; whenever you like."

  2. Is anyone watching the delivery day ceremony live?? what time does it start? I registered at MSC's website , but did not get an email invite as of yet?

*NEVERMIND*....*sigh*....EST timezone means I slept right thru it all... #asyouwere

  3. Wine Bar entrance to the speciality restaurants I believe.

Oh, ok - thanks. Just not seeing it right now I guess, with all that shiny silver glimmering everywhere. LOL! ;p;p But now that you mention it - I'm guessing those are upside-down drink glasses hanging from the ceiling?

  4. I agree. Tell me if I get this right. You have to book a cabin that you don't necessarily want (say a balcony) so that when it's closer to the cruise date you can bid on a suite. If your bid isn't accepted you have to either go higher or stay in your balcony.

Is this truly how the new NCL bidding process works? Wow. - that's crazy. I have noticed that the prices for the Havens are sometimes 2x as much as the YC suite on MSC. Sure hope no other cruise line adopts this new method of "bid-to-sail". It's lousy. :(:(

  5. Yes, I'm also looking forward to meeting him in January! In fact, after seeing that episode I looked up the seafood place he ate at in Cozumel and am planning to have lunch there. Maybe I'll see him there!

...and what is the name of that place in Cozumel?? I think we may also visit for lunch there - we love seafood! ;p;p
