Following....looking forward to your review!

My husband and I enjoy dressing up every night for dinner and more so on elegant night. We don't have many opportunities to dress up in our "normal" life and it's a part of making our cruise special. Go for it! I'm sure you will both be stunning and get many compliments from your fellow passengers!
On one of my first cruises, we went to play a game after dinner. There were three elderly ladies who were dressed up and the cruise director said to them, "Ladies, you look nice enough for elegant night." To which one replied "Every night is elegant night!" Words to live by! Lol
Enjoy and thank you for your and your husbands service!

Thanks so much for sharing! I'll be reading your entire cruise review for sure. We are sailing on the Fascination in January. Can't wait!

So many good ideas here!
I thunk the solo cabins are a great idea. I like the balconys that overlook the park and I'd love an escape room. :D

One other "perk" when booking an excursion through Carnival is that if you miss your port or are late to the port for some reason, they will refund your money or make arrangements to alter the tour times. This isn't always possible booking independently. I've done both and have generally been quite satisfied both ways.

We are sailing from San Juan for the first time and wondered if anyone else had used Uber to get from hotel to port? If so, do you remember the approximate cost? Thanks so much!

Sorry if I'm repeating a question that has already been asked but are there any beaches within walking distance of the port? We will be on the Carnival Fascination in February 2019.
Thanks!

We played the Clue game a few weeks ago on the Glory. It was very disappointing. There really wasn't anything to "figure out". You picked up your card at the beginning of the cruise. It was right before a Bingo game, if I remember correctly. The card listed all of the times and locations that a clue would be given. Each of these times you were given one person, weapon and location that was NOT the answer. If you attended all sessions, you had eliminated all but one possibility because they gave you the answers. Everyone who managed to get all of the clues wrote answers on a card and all cards were put into a drawing. They randomly drew one of the cards. That person won a small travel size game. That was it.
Had I known in advance, I would not have made it a point to take time to get the clues. I will not be doing this again on future cruises!

Thanks everyone! I really appreciate the help and advice!

I have booked a cruise and was made to understand that if there was a lower advertised fare that I could request the difference in on board credit. Is there a place online where I should be checking or should I check the cruise company site every day? I'm not exactly sure how I am supposed to watch. Help?
Thanks!

Looking for info on hiking Gros Piton
in St. Lucia

My husband and I really want to hike Gros Piton while on our cruise but we're a little concerned about the timing. There are several tour companies who offer the excursion. Has anyone done this recently? Did you have any issues getting back to the port on time? Which tour company did you use and did you like them?
Thanks for your help!
